Can you explain the mentality behind a SHTF situation and the thought of using silver for barter? It never made sense to me, because even though they say bullion is “real money”, I always looked it at as apples and oranges. We’re assigning a monetary value to something, and I don’t see how silver would be worth more than bullets, whiskey, or even an apple in a true “doomsday scenario”. I started stacking as an “investment” (got in at around $14.75 back in 2019), then thought if it as a forced saving, and got into coins in big part of your whatnot auctions, but the prepper part of the hobby has never made sense to me. I like the way you explain things so maybe you can shed some light for me? Thanks for the consideration!
