  • Mitsubishi has introduced the hybrid variant of its popular Xpander mini MPV and this time it's made in Thailand instead of Indonesia.
Since the official Thailand launch in February, more than 4,000 orders have been placed for the Xpander HEV and Xpander Cross HEV, priced at Bt933,000 and Bt961,000 respectively.
It's powered by a 1.6-litre MIVEC engine (95ps/134Nm) mated to an electric motor (116ps/255Nm) running in series and parallel hybrid modes while offering a short EV mode as well. The average fuel economy is claimed at 19.8km/liter.
It also features an electronic shifter and features a total of seven drive modes, as well as Active Yaw Control (AYC) that helps improve cornering performance.
The interior features an 8-inch TFT digital display and 9-inch center touchscreen along with heat-reflecting seat upholstery. Some features are missing though, such as wireless charging and automatic climate control.
Rear passengers get overhead air vents and flexible seating system offering a large number of configurations and lots of luggage space.

@@wdtv3568 But in tarmac mode the response will be quicker given that there is enough power in the battery. If not the system will inform you.

@@kingsley220is that 19.8 kmpl a claim from Mitsubishi? OR did you test the fuel consumption yourself?
because I didn't find any fuel consumption info in this video. cmiiw 🙏🏻

@@IlhamKurniawans That's the official government data (Eco Sticker). It's very complicated to test fuel consumption accurately due to varying conditions and traffic. You can get better or worse than 19.8 depending on how you drive it.
