@@spartanvenom5388 i thought the same at first but then realized something: These are models of giant robots. It may look like too much detail at first, but consider it in scale and this approach becomes more realistic.
Spartan Venom that ugly ass unicorn gundam that everybody loves has too much detail. Its like an 8yr old made it.. this is gunpla perfection right here. The patience and time and skills applied here, my eyes start hurting just painting tiny lines and this guy does it x1000 lol.
you are a inspiration, seriously. I'm new in gunpla, but you are my new goal. I was wishing buy for the fun, but now is for the challenge and of course the process.
The guys at the top have similar patience and attention to detail. This channel though, is the only one bent on Growing that competition. Very generous with his knowledge and attentive to his posts! Im subscribed to 40 gunpla channels, but Ravi is my goto.
Wow i have just finished my first gunpla, an exia, i was considering taking on something of a higher grade, but i see now i have a lot to learn thank tou you for this video it has inspired me build more and to aim for better than just out of the box building
It's relaxing to watch sure. But if you do this yourself, amount of plastic powders you would make and smell of chemicals from paint, thinner, top coat will make it very un-relaxing lol. But it sure feels rewarding after finishing the piece.
@@dirtiestharry6551 exactly. Everyone saying something is "relaxing" is getting pretty old. This amount of detail is not relaxing at all, its pretty intense.
@@redeemer66666 but it's still an intense process. It's a lot of work and you wanted to come out just right. Sure it's satisfying but I wouldn't say relaxing. Maybe the same feeling as finishing a day of hard work?
If you fked up painting, theres a lot of work to redo. If you fked up engraving, you need to buy replacement part. Considering the postage, if you live in certain countries, fking up 5 parts means youd better buy another kit. So I wouldnt say it is relaxing lol. Gunpla is not expensive in terms the money/time to enjoy ratio, but a lot of ppl wouldnt touch engraving because of the above reasons.
I can see doing one leg, or one arm, after spending an obscene amount of time of course, but making the other leg/arm exactly symmetrical is mind boggling....👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
right? The man is OCD in the best way. I also notice 0 cats and children kicking his door in every 3 minutes or jumping on his workstation. Maybe; I would be patient too, if I had a fortress of solitide! hmmm
WOW! This is amazing work. Great job! I have only made 3 Gundam kits that were HG (Zaku 2, Zaku 1 sniper and EZ-8) and I only assembled them ha ha ha. You have inspired me to purchase an MG (White doll maybe? I have just started watching Turn A Gundam and I like it a lot. It kinda reminds me of a Miyazaki's work.) and detail it and then paint it.
I don't know where you get the idea for where you put your lines, but your eye for design is excellent. The end product is so cohesive and intresting to look at
Outside of his patience and attention to detail, Ravi seems to have, a master eye for laying out his details. He is the top spot that I have found online. Check out Jenic and Peco's modeling....these 2 dorks are able to freehand their scribes. *mind explodes*
Thank you so much for your video , but I ready had to ask you, how can you make scribe a clean and event depth panel line ? For example , when make a 0.5 mm panel line , the two ends is always not have sharp corners and the depth is not even throughout the line. I’m learning from your video. Thank you again for your great videos.
If we all have the patience to mask off all of our scribe lines, then we can make perfect looking scribes too. Don't feel bad if you cut all the way through or can't freehand scribe lines.(the norm). Ravi cut through a piece.......once. lol He is a great teacher, but it is like having Beethoven as a teacher. We will get better, but never be a Beethoven. *sigh* If you are just starting your scribes, then grab some dymo label tape as your guides. Dymo tape gives you a straight edge guide without........um......."the Ravi level of patience" . Happy customizing!
4 pieces of dymo tape make a very thin box to cut inside of. Start with the very tip touching one end of your ( taped off )"channel", and drag backwards. turn it around, then do the same from the opposite end. The cutting from each direction witll help square up your ends as well as keep the depth a little more consistent..... It is better to barely apply pressure and cut a dozen times vs cut once or twice, but risk going through or ending up with inconsistent panel line depth. Hopefully this is making sense via text. You want your head to Really explode, then watch Peco's modeling or Jenic's channel....these guys aren't on Ravi's level, but they both freehand most of their scribe lines. It's almost depressing. Good luck!
If a panel line stops in the middle of a piece, then add a little rectangle to the end. If the ends of your panel lines; refuse to shape up, then add a tiny styrene detail piece over the ends of panel lines. You can also get a very thin chisel and chisel the ends square. I hope this helps. These are common problems actually, so fear not

I don't even do models, but this is actually great learning material for concept art and 3D modeling if you can believe me.
you don't have to build the OTHER leg in your 3D modeling software. You should thank the inventor of copy & paste.
the time care and skill put into this make it a true piece of art
But it may be bordering on too much detail.

Painting can be practiced, but the way of his cutting and carving the gunpla is sick.
Nice pfp
He's patient enough to count every star in the sky
Jarron Mixon patience isn’t that big a roll here unless he messed something up and had to redo or if he wasn’t enjoying it in the first place
He has that number if you need it for something! LOL

Phuong Truong yo why such a bummer? Mom never loved you? Dad left? Parents blame you for their divorce? Tell me.

Best Sazabi build I have seen upto this date. Immense work but still looks subtle
Insane skill, creativity and patience, thank you for the video. I can't fathom why a person would downvote this except out of jealousy.
I turn these on when I build rc cars etc. Love these vids, remember trying to mimic this detail when I built kits. Beautiful
정말 멋집니다.
몇몇 일본분들은 과도한 디테일업이 오히려 실용성을 해치는 디자인이 아닌가하고 갑론을박을 펼치고 계시네요

Hey i just wanted to say that you have the best nails in the Gunpla UA-cam game. Also this is outstanding work.
Definitely did not skip on leg day. Great job 👍

Impeccable attention to detail, great dedication to the craft.

I haven't watch a gunpla video in a while so this is interesting to see

Ravi: I want to add some more detail to this kit.
Everyone: Ok, how much?
Ravi: Yes.
The whole process is so satisfying!!! Nice work!
技術もすごいけどデザインのセンスが素晴らしい!
同意。センスと一体になって初めて完成する素晴らしい例。
The little green dots in the kneecap make it look like M-O from Wall-e got a fancy new japanese upgrade.
But seriously, this is a job well done at making it look like a real piece of science fiction war machinery.
This is gorgeous and a level of detail which I won't have the capacity to apply to my kits. Amazing work! 🍻
I'm not sure how I wound up here. It's not even 3am. Glad I stayed, though.
You made the original ver ka looks like a HG. I can look at this all day.
Each process shown is so satisfying

Bro your attention to detail is incredible pls do more videos like this
Pls do a barbatos
Can't wait to see the full assembly bro🖤
