For chest number 7 it is way quicker to ride thr "vex milk wheel" to the top. Jump off the wall land on one of its fins. When the wheel starts to become close to 90° vertically climb the fence to the very tip top and as it gets to 90 degrees you're going to want to put your garden on the very tip top that's about a foot wide. Then you just hop off when you get to the top of the mountain

Something important to note about Garden of Salvation's secret chests; they DO NOT drop weapons, only armor. The raid is from a time period where bungie began to believe that only encounters should drop weapons, which they quickly changed their minds about, after the raids release. This means GOS is the only raid in destiny 2 where the secret chests are incapable of rewarding weapons
Not like the weapons are that good nowadays, without an origin trait and with better weapons available, I wouldn't bother to do the raid for anything other that divinity or for collection purposes.
A HUGE point to make about hunter shatterskate (on controller) is bind the dive button input to a single button press, so then all you need to do is push jump+dive input+ heavy attack on eager edge after swapping to it. It makes it 1000 times easier.
Another tip that helped me master it in 5 minutes once I took my time: you do NOT have to jump, dive and heavy strike RIGHT as you switch. Don't get caught up hitting the whole combo at once. Swap, as long as eager edge is active, you can skate. Switch, R2+X+O. Don't think of it as switch jump heavy dive at the same time. Switch. R2+ press both X and O with your thumb simultaneously. You WILL hit it every time if you also bind like buds recommended. Good luck 👍
You don't need to have gotten anything from last wish. You can get the last wish chests without having any encounters cleared and still get loots. It's the only raid that functions like this.
I actually don't like this. The armor is meh, and I like how on my Titan I only get weapons out of the DSC chest. Then again a couple sessions of trapping Kalli on LW weeks has me almost all my patterns via LFG and no mic needed
For vow you don't need to kill the abominations you can sparrow past em if you don't care about dying to the darkness. Also for the third crystal you can shoot it through the bars by jumping up on the platform slightly below the bridge and aiming down sights and tagging the side of the crystal
Sidenote, if you can’t skate the broken bridge last wish chest for anyone on hunter if you have strand unlocked you can make it across the broken bridge with just strand itself. Pop your super use both your grapples, then spam, heavy attack and move forward until your super is gone. After that you will get both your grapple charges back and you’ll be able to use the Them to make it the rest of the way. Make sure to equip the aspect widow’s silk for additional grenade for grapples. Hope this helps

For the Root of Nightmares chest instead of swording ip the wall just hop onto the white growth by the crystal. Jump onto the top of the doorway, then up onto the floor with the hidden room/secret chest. Hunters need Stompees FYI
10:18 if you’re too close to the door when it loads, you’ll be inside and will have to work yourself back to the morgeth secret chest. You won’t need to reset
You don't need to shatter skate across for the morgeth chest on hunter. Literally just use two grapple grenades, a sword with eager edge, and pop your super when you get closer and spam heavy attacks to gain lift and momentum until you make it across. It is super easy
Its pretty well known now but you can get last wish chests as a F2P player aswell, its been like that since the raid released so it wont change probably ever
For a VoG you should get one other person or preferably 2 and do the encounter as normal. Have one person stay up top and the rest can grab the first 2 chests, change characters and then repeat. One easy encounter for 30 spoils. It is possible to solo but takes some practice.
A big tip for rocket grapple is to use a rocket with high stability, max recoil direction, and low velocity. Having this helps with consistency. A good rocket to use would be a crafted palmyra-b with - Coutermass - impact casing - Enhanced surplus/ surplus - Enhanced chill clip - Counterbalance mod
Root of nightmares if you die at the door you can still make it to the point using a faster/shorter and easier route if you turn right after the 1st grapple area
Last Wish (3-nd chest in the video) - To cross the bridge on a strand titan you can also use catapult lift, grapple and then bladefury's super while spammin light attack and jump and when the super ends use eager edge once or twice. Might be a little harder than with an Lion Rampant exotic though...
Being a hunter at Morgeth bridge use 2 grapple grenades then pop super and use heavy attach till the super runs out then you should have two more grapple grenades and that's it's much easier .
@tyjames3339 it may be quicker and easier but not everyone knows how to shatter skate. It is definitely a tricky stunt to pull off. Not impossible though but you need to be able to pull off shatterskating on command in order to be able to do encounters where speed is necessary
You need to have completed 1 time the raid to get the possibility to drop weapon or armor from it, all you can get if you haven't complete them is mod and spoil of conquest
Well you can get even more chests than that without completing any encounters solo. You can get both the chests at gorgon maze and before gatekeepers. (It required basic slipping when this was released so definitely not doable for the target audience of the video but nowadays you can use the skimmer to get them.)
To go across the gap as a hunter for the last wish raid you don't really need to sword skate or whatever. If you got stompee put them on. Be a strand hunter and make sure you have two grapples. Then double jump as far as you can, grapple once at an angle for distance. Jump once more than grapple one more time. Pop your super and do that big ol swing until you run out. You should be close enough to use the 2 grapples again. It's easy and yeah I know this is 2mo old vid but ya know. Just wanted to help out a bit.
As a titan, you can cross the Last Wish bridge with Armamentarium, using strafe jump, strand grapple, an eager edge sword and then your super. -- Jump off the bridge, eager edge, grapple, eager edge, grapple, pop super and then alternate between melee attacks and jumping. You can eager edge or regrapple if your super doesn’t get you there. I find it to be an alternate method that’s pretty easy
even if you havent gotten last wish loot the secret chests can still drop all the loot except the exotic sadly the others you have to have beaten at least one encounter of the raid and then the chest can drop what you've already gotten
At the Morgeth encounter, Strand Hunter can also make it across the broken bridge using the super. You have to use the spin attack and some grapples, but it'll get you across.
There is an easier way to grab the last wish chests as a strand hunter. Use two grapples, ult, two grapples, right click and jump as many times as possible, and two more grapples when the ult ends.
Last Wish is the best I don’t even need to play once. It gives me weapons straight. I just crafted my Apex Predator but sadly Last Wish chests don’t give spoils.

I dont know if there's a guide on how to get there but I might be able to record a video for you if they re-enable eager edge post maintenance

Something I heard about for the abyss in Crotas End is that if you have heartshadow with the catalyst, it gives enough of a speed boost to let you run normally when you have full stacks of weight of darkness

THREAD RUNNER will get you across the bridge with no fancy Ness! Just did it myself just need widow silk jump and grapple as far as you can use super and use heavy attack to maintain height and recharges your grapples when super is over, grapple the rest of the way!
i completely hate the DSC sparrow section, so i never really do it for my run and ive never done garden, so i wont get anything from the chests. as for root, its to much to do to go after that chest. my run is vault of glass, vow and last wish.
Quick question... what do you get from the chests if you haven't completed the raid? I very rarely have enough spare time to dedicate to doing a full raid, so haven't completed one since D2 dropped. But you must get something from opening these chests, so just wondered what the loot pool was for it 🙂

for the vault of glass, you dont have to do these out of bounds thing, you can just make a team in a lfg like "VoG Spoils only no mic/mic" and set it up to 2-3 members its easy and you dont have to put too much effort and you can get the gate chest and the secret chest aswell! and same with the crota's end you can just make the post same as the vog one, the lfg instantly will understand
I will say you can get the second Vow chest solo if you get a checkpoint for right after Caretaker and have Solar Warlock with Heat Rises and a sword would help too. I know thats specific but just something to note.
I’ve only done the last encounter on last wish and I can get any weapon from the chests I can only get 2 chest cuz I’m on PS5 but if you find someone with the checkpoint for last encounters on raids you can get the loot
I mean, if you are gonna grab checkpoints for nezerac to get a chest... may as well grab a post templar checkpoint and get all 4 chests in vog without glitching into it, and grab a kings fall wall checkpoint to get that secret chest, all of these drop spoils. I get 105 spoils a week without doing any encounter from vow, ron, vog, and kings fall.
from ron you only need craftable rufus, extended, ricochet, range mw, demolitionist and frenzy and you are killer, after 12s you get 15% buff to all enemies, recover 11% grenade and have 100 reload that is 0.99s with 29m range. with whole year of strand there is no better weapon. in crota bridge i was creating tangles, exploding them, creating treadlings, and powering banner of war, also with fragments and aspect for exploding tangles gave woven mail 90% resistance to everybody for 10s, taking down barrier champs. last season crucible kinetic 540 pulse is same monster.
@@Malus_ this can be done with divinity and xeno. plus better some fussions 500-460ms.for last wish i used heritage with reconstraction and focused, 3 precission shots and 9 with 20% buff for 12s, then swap to nessa with frenzy already activated for 15% buff and 100 reload. no need for focused cos 9x20=180, vs 12x15=180 but also you have 100 reload still from frenzy and you will need to reload
@@omars1369 mw range, smallbore, assault mag for 70 slugs per minute, reconstruction, focused fury or frenzy. mind that where fussions are mostly 15m range shotguns 4-6m before damage falloff kills them. only stupid fallen captain and his minions use lord of wolves as sniper from 100m where you have 2m range. and melt you in 500ms like witches arc balls
On the morgeth encounter for hunter you can literally just use strand to jump across. Double jump grapple, jump, grapple and then super using the spin attack and go forward, then grapple, jump, grapple, jump and that should be it. I do this every week

There's a much easier way to get to the nut in Root, I posted a comment with a link, so it's either in the held comments or @Marshix deleted it. But after the first big jump (after the enemy) look at the next jump and go high left and over the top NOT across 19:20
yeah...if you can only get raid weapons by doing 3hr raids or have raid weapons to do it because the teams are demanding raid weapons then it doesnt matter
You can actually also get the gorgon maze secret chest, you just need to know how to slipstream your sparrow into a small corner on the top left of the conflux encounter location And you can also grab the second vow secret chest, you just need to know how to do the 0-1 and the 1-3 skips
I cross the Last Wish bridge on Hunter using a combination of strand grapple, eager edge sword and the Navigator with the catalyst to make a free grapple point. Also, you can easily go into the Shuro Chi area by running and sliding towards the door to load into the area every time without fail. I always die and respawn at Morgeth when I walk slowly.
You don't need the navigator. What you do is grapple and pop your super and use the heavy swing of your super to get extra distance. Popping that super also resets grapple cooldown so you can make up the extra bits by usin grapples.
@@mr.johnson7424 I know, I just like to use the Navigator at the start before jumping to get an extra free grapple, then grapple two more times, eager edge, pop super to stay in the air before refreshing both grapple charges. Makes it easier for me.
So I tried the code from the last wish chest at 6:59 and I literally just die and get respawned to the beginning and the entrance is blocked by a taken boss. Has it been patched or am I doing something wrong? I died a couple of times on my way to the code location. No sure if I am supposed to make it there without dying.

For the Vow chest, you do not have to engage any enemy beyond Savathun. You can sparrow to each darkness thingy, destroy it, and sparrow the chest.

If you can get a cp to the Templar you can back track and grab all 4 chests.
...That is the first time I've ever seen anyone take the actual path to the second chest for GoS. I didn't even realize there *was* an actual path.

@@unsu27 you could use salvation’s grip and stasis crystals grenades to climb it. It might take a bit longer.

The two last wish chests drop weapons even if you haven't done the raid shame they didn't drop spoils too.
Fun fact for crota: Strand Titans can just super through that weight of darkness as it doesn’t affect them in their super!

Do I have to have gotten forbearance first in a different encounter before I get it from this chest?
Yeah the VOW chests only give you loot you already have acquired, I think only last wish chests can award everything..

Everything time I try to cross the bridge...it kills me for being out of the area. I only make it half what and I'm still in the air???? What I do wrong
In Last Wish raid is the sword dance across the broken bridge fixed? I’m getting an out of bounds when I try crossing!! 😞
for the vault of glass, you dont have to do these out of bounds thing, you can just make a team in a lfg like "VoG Spoils only no mic/mic" and set it up to 2-3 members its easy and you dont have to put too much effort and you can get the gate chest and the secret chest aswell! and same with the crota's end you can just make the post same as the vog one, the lfg instantly will understand
if you learn the route you can use a templar bot and get all 4 vog chests solo
I'm just curious, you can do these chests 3 times a week? I thought they reset weekly? I am a bit newish to the game so forgive my stupidity.
They can be done 3 times a week but only once per character, i.e Hunter, Titan and Warlock.
Some stuff to try when destiny content is dry. RoN and GS will probably take me all day
I will say you can get the second Vow chest solo if you get a checkpoint for right after Caretaker and have Solar Warlock with Heat Rises and a sword would help too. I know thats specific but just something to note.

I’ve only done the last encounter on last wish and I can get any weapon from the chests I can only get 2 chest cuz I’m on PS5 but if you find someone with the checkpoint for last encounters on raids you can get the loot

I mean, if you are gonna grab checkpoints for nezerac to get a chest... may as well grab a post templar checkpoint and get all 4 chests in vog without glitching into it, and grab a kings fall wall checkpoint to get that secret chest, all of these drop spoils. I get 105 spoils a week without doing any encounter from vow, ron, vog, and kings fall.

Technically the first RON chest is soloable, too. If you're good enough at the game to solo the first encounter, which I am not.
from ron you only need craftable rufus, extended, ricochet, range mw, demolitionist and frenzy and you are killer, after 12s you get 15% buff to all enemies, recover 11% grenade and have 100 reload that is 0.99s with 29m range. with whole year of strand there is no better weapon. in crota bridge i was creating tangles, exploding them, creating treadlings, and powering banner of war, also with fragments and aspect for exploding tangles gave woven mail 90% resistance to everybody for 10s, taking down barrier champs. last season crucible kinetic 540 pulse is same monster.

@@Malus_ this can be done with divinity and xeno. plus better some fussions 500-460ms.for last wish i used heritage with reconstraction and focused, 3 precission shots and 9 with 20% buff for 12s, then swap to nessa with frenzy already activated for 15% buff and 100 reload. no need for focused cos 9x20=180, vs 12x15=180 but also you have 100 reload still from frenzy and you will need to reload
@@omars1369 mw range, smallbore, assault mag for 70 slugs per minute, reconstruction, focused fury or frenzy. mind that where fussions are mostly 15m range shotguns 4-6m before damage falloff kills them. only stupid fallen captain and his minions use lord of wolves as sniper from 100m where you have 2m range. and melt you in 500ms like witches arc balls
7:10 when you have heat wave active then you don't use so much super energy when you icarus dash

On the morgeth encounter for hunter you can literally just use strand to jump across. Double jump grapple, jump, grapple and then super using the spin attack and go forward, then grapple, jump, grapple, jump and that should be it. I do this every week

In the beginning you say you have to do the raid at least once, do you mean at least 1 finish with a full 6 man team?
If you want loot from most of the raids (I think Last Wish chests might be different) than you’ll need to complete encounters to get item drops
The only problem is I’ve never been able to complete a raid without people giving up and leaving

There's a much easier way to get to the nut in Root, I posted a comment with a link, so it's either in the held comments or @Marshix deleted it. But after the first big jump (after the enemy) look at the next jump and go high left and over the top NOT across 19:20

yeah...if you can only get raid weapons by doing 3hr raids or have raid weapons to do it because the teams are demanding raid weapons then it doesnt matter

You can actually also get the gorgon maze secret chest, you just need to know how to slipstream your sparrow into a small corner on the top left of the conflux encounter location
And you can also grab the second vow secret chest, you just need to know how to do the 0-1 and the 1-3 skips
No wonder he saved Crota for last, cant do it solo :/

Documenting the best time to this, since you can have eager edge x2 on swords.
I cross the Last Wish bridge on Hunter using a combination of strand grapple, eager edge sword and the Navigator with the catalyst to make a free grapple point.
Also, you can easily go into the Shuro Chi area by running and sliding towards the door to load into the area every time without fail. I always die and respawn at Morgeth when I walk slowly.
You don't need the navigator. What you do is grapple and pop your super and use the heavy swing of your super to get extra distance. Popping that super also resets grapple cooldown so you can make up the extra bits by usin grapples.
@@mr.johnson7424 I know, I just like to use the Navigator at the start before jumping to get an extra free grapple, then grapple two more times, eager edge, pop super to stay in the air before refreshing both grapple charges. Makes it easier for me.

warlocks can well skate and titans can use their strand super to get over too i watched my friend do it like that

So I tried the code from the last wish chest at 6:59 and I literally just die and get respawned to the beginning and the entrance is blocked by a taken boss. Has it been patched or am I doing something wrong? I died a couple of times on my way to the code location. No sure if I am supposed to make it there without dying.
You didn't include the 2nd vow chest which you can also get on all 3 characters.

On Last Wish it wont let me cross the broken bridge? It "Turn Back" kills me on Titan everytime
