That's why he's the last Dragonborn, He's the only Dragonborn other than Miraak, who has just come back in multiple forms over the years, the second to last form being Martin Septim who also saved the world.
I usually play a Nord in Skyrim. I'm a big fan of vikings, saxons, and their history. The nords in the elder scrolls are pretty much a fictional version of the vikings and saxons. Many of the nordic history that you mentioned in this video, is very similar to Norse mythology. There are a lot of similarities between the Dragonborn and Beowulf, as well as Thor the God of Thunder. The Storm call shout can definitely make you feel like Thor. As you call up a violent thunderstorm to strike down your enemies.
I thought you'd be running out of things to talk about, but then you come out with this 'focus' series on the races and... in short: Impressive work, as always!
Parantago ya, I guess, but I think the constant winter would get a bit dull after a while, skyrim had all sorts off different biomes, while constant winter is just one
TestRun we could have caves, frozen forests, frozen swamps, cities whit people that are frozen in time etc. The idea is that mid game you find a way to break the curse and free everyone but then you have to deal whit the aftermath. The whole world would change and cities would be reanimated
Argonians are dicks tbh. They used to be my favourite race but I read up on them recently. When they attacked Morrowind I thought "good for them, they get revenge on the dunmer enslavers" but I found out they killed the women and children too. Not to mention they also knew of the Oblivion Crisis. The hist warned them beforehand but the Argonians decided to not warn the others
I think that Jurgen WindCaller was a servant to Hermaeus Mora because he only wanted a few people to have the voice and Hermaeus Hoards knowledge so it makes since that he would be the one to know about the shouts and he is the Friend that sends the DragonBorn notes
Hmm. Has anyone considered that the Kamal invaded Atmora, which is why it is now eternally winter? Maybe a game where you go through Atmora killing Kamal, and with each general you kill, parts of Atmora return to normal.
One of the things I have wondered is was Lorkhan really defeated? Or was it just part of the plan? Did he understand the Aedra would never understand what he wanted to achieve, and so just took the choice right out of their hands?
I freaking fucking love your Videos man!!! and now about the nords my favorit race ever omg although I already knew tons of what u said watching u saying it has no price please keep up with this amazing work
is it intresting that the ancient nords think of kyne as the fox god some say that she is also wife to lorkhan(shoer) and she also seems to like humans more i mean she save them from the dragons so my thoriey is that kyne lied and betrayed the other gods and no of them ever knew that and that is why she is the fox god in ancient nord religion
Oh crap, you actually responded. Big fan dude, love your videos. Didn't know that part. I just remembered reading that book in the game about him and Sarthaal was mentioned. My bad, haha.
Thanks! And hey don't apologize dude, it's cool. Yeah, I probably should have mentioned Ahzidal, but ... well let's just say he will definitely be covered in a future one of these :)
I will not follow that rule, I would demolish him when possible to keep the way of life going in a way people want. Not a cult(some of the popular religions is like a cult) but you know what I mean.
Doctor Damoclies Poorly worded by me. First, it's a Nordic legend; we don't know how true it actually is. Second, I think the interpretation that makes the most sense is only part of the curse was redirected onto the orcs. So the curse is split between them, which is why both live a lot longer. Just a theory - I don't really have a sure fire explanation tbh. Thanks for commenting and sharing your thoughts!
I re-read the source material, and it's very unclear and confusing. Might be a good idea to ignore what I said about the Orcs for now. I'll make a point to address this again when I cover the Orcs - my bad!
Oh my, thank you. I dont think Roshank is quite as... informed. Not dissing him at all, no Roshank knows so much more than even my self, but I dont know if we can compare him to Mr Rhexx.
Breton's aren't really humans per say since they are half elf and half human that's why either side doesn't like them that much since their a hybrid and aren't either men or mer.
majid alshibani the redgaurds have no biological relatives with any other of the humans such as the nords who are the first humans since all of men came from atmora.
This is literally the first video in which I've been told the Nords were created in Skyrim and then moved to Atmora. Every other source tells, the Nords originally came from Atmora. I'm confused now. Which one's true?
The falmer werent created through the snow elves ingestion of a toxic fungus, it was from the years of living in dark caves which made their eyes useless so their ears evolved to make up for it. Its legit in the Skyrim lore
The thing with them living in caves for years causing their eyes to devolve was an in - universe assumption. The dawnguard dlc has a snow elf who mentions that the dwemer forced them to take the toxin
This is a good video man, but I have to correct ya on one thing, the Nords don't believe that Alduin is Akatosh. That idea actually comes from an Imperial scholar who believes that Alduin is the Nordic version of Akatosh. Even Alduin himself claims to be only descendant from Akatosh like other dragons, point of fact he claims to be his first child. There are two books in the game that shows these opposing views, The Alduin/Akatosh Dichotomy and Alduin is Real: an he ent Akatosh. (No I don't have a grammar problem that's the actual title of the book).
Remember though, Alduin is divine. For him 'First Born' could just mean the first separation of the Aka-oversoul. He could be bragging he was the first god to split from Akatosh before any of the other time gods.
In the game he refers to himself as the son of Akatosh and he's not exactly divine, timeless yes but not exactly divine. This means that he could be "brought" back by the divines at any point and time, this is because his purpose is to unmake and then remake Nirn (hence why he's referred to as the "World Eater"). This doesn't mean that it directly translates to him being Akatosh as that Imperial Scholar claims, if Alduin were divine... I don't think that it would be so easy for the Dragonborn and the Dragon War heroes to defeat him, for them to be able to they would require direct divine intervention.
And his own servant says he was born from the heavens itself. He came from a time before the concept of reproduction even had solid meaning. I'm not saying he is Akatosh, but simply an aspect of a larger time god that no longer exists. Much like Auriel of the elves, Akatosh of the Imperials, and Alkosh of the Khajiit, he is a shard of something much greater. The reason the Dragonborn is able to defeat Alduin is because he is Shezzarine, a demigod with a piece of the god Lorkhan/Shor, the eternal rival of the Time God. That is one of the whole build ups behind your conflict. You are continuing the same conflict that began with Lorkhan and Auriel at Convention. That and you have a shout that makes him experience mortality in all its crippling glory.
I know about the story of Shor and I'm not saying that you are saying that he is Akatosh, but as far as that shout is concerned... It didn't work as intended for when the Dragonborn first used it, it failed. Sure Alduin fell to the ground and couldn't lift off, but it still didn't work. It took the combined might of, not only the Dragonborn, but the 3 heroes of the Dragon War to defeat him and even then it's insinuated that he couldn't be fully defeated and that he'd return one day. My point is that this indicates that he may be immortal, but that doesn't necessarily translates to him being divine. Now don't misunderstand me, I'm not necessarily stating that it's impossible for him to be divine, just that there isn't enough indication within the game (outside of the Alduin/Akatosh Dichotomy book) that he is divine and that the Nords never perceived Alduin as Akatosh. The indication, I suspect, is that Alduin is timeless but not really a divine and that he will return someday, because (like the Phoenix) he represents the cycle of death and rebirth.
Roshank! Sauce? Though I have spent many hours looking into the south, the khajiit and elves are things I tend to specialise with, I also like to think I understand Akiver very well. I'm not an expert on Atmora, I would like to see your sauce material. If you dont mind.
[Speech 100] - Success! Paaurthurax - You have shown me the way time traveler from what you call the "Mojave". I shall betray my brother as he has betrayed our father.

He did so, but died. This is why I don't view Orkey as the Snake, as he didn't trick anybody. Shor did.
Man, I love the Argonians though I never make an Argonian character(I really only make Dark Elves and Nords, I did Imperial once just for Oblivion) because I can't help but see them as a Companian race which is apparently how other races see them because that m ends up being the reason Argonians always come back and kick ass. If I had to rate my favorites it'd be the Dark Elves followed by Argonians. Bretons and Bosmer wouldn't even make it on my list. They're the weakest of all and given the chance I kill almost everyone of them I see. If there's a sub race in TES then they'd be right below 'em so if any pro-Bretons/Bosmer read this then come at me. I'm worse than cancer. Oh, and fuck Fargoth.
Nords don't belong to Tamriel.... Bretons are the true natives, you have to search about the "Direnni Tower" as the most ancient structure, in fact, Bretons are the most direct descendants of the Direnni's clan .... so the Forsworn (Savage bretons) are the true natives of Tamriel, and Nords just take the Reach and begin to call forsworns as the "madmen"..... and if you see the powers of each race, bretons are the only one who have a direct connection with dragons as they have "Dragonskin" and a highly magic resistance... no other race have the most equilibrated skills between warriors nd magicians....
The sheer depth of Elder Scrolls lore never ceases to amaze me.
That's why he's the last Dragonborn, He's the only Dragonborn other than Miraak, who has just come back in multiple forms over the years, the second to last form being Martin Septim who also saved the world.
People in Bethesda are really smart, making there own lore, its getting deeper and deeper
I usually play a Nord in Skyrim. I'm a big fan of vikings, saxons, and their history. The nords in the elder scrolls are pretty much a fictional version of the vikings and saxons. A good plot for Elder Scrolls 7 would be going to Atmora and trying to break the curse and deal whit the aftermath while surviving it's winter
Le Red Spy I don't think that would be a main game, but it would be an amazing spin off
Le Red Spy Two words... white walkers
Atmora would make an epic TES, so many different creatures, and races, half man half animal, that's some crazy shit i would love to see.
The story of the 12 year old reminded me of when i found out i could throw a Greatsword in Assasins creed 2. Time of my life
Fucking love the Argonians, get treated like shit both from the Nords and the Dunmer, yet they still come to the rescue, so sad :(
Sebastian Dalessandro #argonianlivesmatter xD
Argonians are dicks tbh. They used to be my favourite race but I read up on them recently. When they attacked Morrowind I thought "good for them, they get revenge on the dunmer enslavers" but I found out they killed the women and children too.
Not to mention they also knew of the Oblivion Crisis. The hist warned them beforehand but the Argonians decided to not warn the others
Yasar Karadogan yea fuck the argonians kahjiht 4 life
+Kaydon Gibney Fuck you! Dunmers and Altmers for life!
Darius way are you gay? Skyrim's for the nords only!!!
Hey man, just wanted to say that I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work!
I think that Jurgen WindCaller was a servant to Hermaeus Mora because he only wanted a few people to have the voice and Hermaeus Hoards knowledge so it makes since that he would be the one to know about the shouts and he is the Friend that sends the DragonBorn notes
oh man these vids are always so fucking amazing ... keep up the great work :D
Hmm. Has anyone considered that the Kamal invaded Atmora, which is why it is now eternally winter? Maybe a game where you go through Atmora killing Kamal, and with each general you kill, parts of Atmora return to normal.
After watching this video I couldn't help but subscribe and like, you're videos are amazing!! Keep up the good work!
One of the things I have wondered is was Lorkhan really defeated? Or was it just part of the plan? Did he understand the Aedra would never understand what he wanted to achieve, and so just took the choice right out of their hands?
Keep making these videos because they really awesome:)
I didn't know that was how the first Ebonhart pact was formed. Thanks for the info.
No problem! Totally agree with your name btw, haha
Why is Elder Scrolls lore so ridiculously deep!
Zalty Want the actual answer or a joke answer?
Both
Love your videos man. More more more!
Wewt! New video, I love your Elderscroll lore vids
Another amazing vid! Thankyou!!
Put together great bro nice work. Just subbed 😁😁
I thought he was going to say that "Nords love music and memes"😅
christian toledo "The city is clear... Shor's beard! NOT CLEAR, NOT CLEAR!!"
great video man loved it!
dang the nords were that mad they drove the snow elves to extinction
Well, not really extinct. More that they changed them into debatably horrifying blind creatures (which could be considered worse by some people).
WhiteNinja42 lol
Caleb Washington They didn't go extinct but actually evolved into Falmers.
Caleb Washington Skyrim belongs to the nords.
@@462n that was the dwemer, not the Nords.
the Under King was a person from the Elder Scrolls 2, if I remember right, he was also explained in Oblivion
A little girl threw a sword at the Snow Prince and that's what killed him... 😂
What Lies Beneath Cause Nords that's how! LOL
Love the vids Roshank Keep up the good work bro!
Awesome video!
I freaking fucking love your Videos man!!!
and now about the nords my favorit race ever omg although I already knew tons of what u said
watching u saying it has no price
please keep up with this amazing work
Thanks so much! Really appreciate the kind words :D
These videos are incredible
is it intresting that the ancient nords think of kyne as the fox god some say that she is also wife to lorkhan(shoer) and she also seems to like humans more i mean she save them from the dragons so my thoriey is that kyne lied and betrayed the other gods and no of them ever knew that and that is why she is the fox god in ancient nord religion
You should make one of these videos about the Bretons.
kyle coakley He already did it was amazing
I feel like humans are devolving at the same rate of the falmer in this century. XD
noice video here. :)
Nords are awsome. but yea Argonians are under appreciated. they are pretty badass
Bethesda should make a game like when the elves and the other races discovered the land they now live on
The part V gave me the idea why thalmor hates talos .. just like auri-el hates Lorkhan .. just like anu hates padomay
I think the snake god is meant to be Shor, not the fox, in fact, the fox is likely Orkey, while the wolf is meant to be Mara.
Everyone says that the Snow Elves killed Everyone in Saarthal except Ysgramor and his two sons. Didn't Ahzidal escape too?
The Trapper He wasn't there when the Snow Elves sacked the city. He left years before they invaded, then came back to find the city destroyed.
Does anyone know where I can get my hands on the variant of the Stormlord armor that was shown at 5:49?
If the main quest on Skyrim had an option of siding with Alduin in recreating his Dragon cult, would any of you follow him.
Damien Ashby NO.
Damien Ashby fuck yes
I will not follow that rule, I would demolish him when possible to keep the way of life going in a way people want. Not a cult(some of the popular religions is like a cult) but you know what I mean.
nope
keep up with the good videos
Sooo...orcs live only 6 years?
Doctor Damoclies There are Orcs in Skyrim who fought in the Great War 30 years before. This guy is high
Doctor Damoclies Poorly worded by me. First, it's a Nordic legend; we don't know how true it actually is. My guess is that he meant 60 :)
Roshank Redemption Well yeah i guess it's just a legend and i guess that you're probably right with that theory.
I re-read the source material, and it's very unclear and confusing. Might be a good idea to ignore what I said about the Orcs for now. I'll make a point to address this again when I cover the Orcs - my bad!
Yeah , I respect the 12 year old Fina.... She deserves to be Dragonborn .
Do an Imperial facts or secrets video!!!
idk why but his lore videos remeind me of the ones MrRhexx makes
Oh my, thank you. I dont think Roshank is quite as... informed.
Not dissing him at all, no Roshank knows so much more than even my self, but I dont know if we can compare him to Mr Rhexx.
You are right but still there is somethig
Mby just the intro idk
Nords are my favorite race bc there closely resembled to humans
Soul_Reaper1303 what about the redguards they are also humans, and Akavri too
Lol Nords, Imperials, Bretons, and Redguards are all basically human.
bretons and dummer and khajiit are my favorite races
Breton's aren't really humans per say since they are half elf and half human that's why either side doesn't like them that much since their a hybrid and aren't either men or mer.
majid alshibani the redgaurds have no biological relatives with any other of the humans such as the nords who are the first humans since all of men came from atmora.
Part II needs to be a movie staring Travis Fimmel!!!
This is literally the first video in which I've been told the Nords were created in Skyrim and then moved to Atmora. Every other source tells, the Nords originally came from Atmora. I'm confused now. Which one's true?
I'm on a "Nirn History Spree" i swear if they give me a tests about nirns history, i would ace it
11 thalmor disliked this vídeo.
Lynch85 19 now lol
I think dovahkiin could be a shezzarine, he kills gods and not to mention he is the only one i know who can hold keening like nothing.
The falmer werent created through the snow elves ingestion of a toxic fungus, it was from the years of living in dark caves which made their eyes useless so their ears evolved to make up for it. Its legit in the Skyrim lore
That's just wrong bro. Ever play the Dawnguard DLC?
The thing with them living in caves for years causing their eyes to devolve was an in - universe assumption. The dawnguard dlc has a snow elf who mentions that the dwemer forced them to take the toxin
Right on time :D
I'm assuming the Snow King's grave is somewhere in the Skyrim game? Does anyone know where I can find it?
No, but you can find it in Morrowind's dlc Bloodmoon.
kalzinator98 so it is in Solstheim?

What mod do you use for alduin?
what mods and Enb's are you using in this video? Its looking freakin gorgeous :D
El Capo Ccino Thanks! I use Tetrachromatic ENB with NLVA, personally really like how they go together :)
Roshank Redemption thx man, keep up the good work :)
Roshank! Sauce?
Though I have spent many hours looking into the south, the khajiit and elves are things I tend to specialise with, I also like to think I understand Akiver very well. I'm not an expert on Atmora, I would like to see your sauce material. If you dont mind.
Is the remastered worth buying for the PS4. For whatever mods they have?
Dylan Carpinelli fuck
Do the redgaurds nexts!
Shor is the soul of every DRAGONBORN!!
[Speech 100] - Success! Paaurthurax - You have shown me the way time traveler from what you call the "Mojave". I shall betray my brother as he has betrayed our father.
Hermaus Mora and Sheogorath are the most badass daedric princes. The best mages races are Dunmer and Altmer and the best warriors are the Orcs and Nords. Archers and Assassins are rather Bosmer and Khajiit.
Nedic peoples: What do you mean *Nords* settled the lands?
To me, Nord sounds like North, and the Nords of Skyrim live in the NORTH, and came from the continent of Atmora, which is in the NORTH.
I think I just found something cool!
Please keep it up
Wait wait, you said the greybeards were founded only later in the storyline so how were they able to summon the underking?
Orkey is no god, but a demon like Herma Mora. He didn't trick Nords, but rather he summoned the ghost of Alduin. Wulfarth summoned the ghost of Shor to fight Alduin, and Alduin lost(another parallel between a shezzarine LDB and Alduin) Wulfharth saw the battle, learned a shout, and tried to return the nords to adults. He did so, but died.
This is why I don't view Orkey as the Snake, as he didn't trick anybody. Shor did.
Can you do a fact about orcs?
Hey, Rosh, what's up!
you didn't talk about the all maker the one they worship in soelthium
Man, I love the Argonians though I never make an Argonian character(I really only make Dark Elves and Nords, I did Imperial once just for Oblivion) because I can't help but see them as a Companian race which is apparently how other races see them because that m ends up being the reason Argonians always come back and kick ass. Oh, and fuck Fargoth.
Sigh... I wish Skyrim had portrayed the Birds and Skyrim the way they were spoken of in the previous games.
How did the ice Giants invade multiple places when they can only be awake for one day
Orcs can only live for 6 years? my dog is older than that! XD. or did I misinterpret what you were saying?
Pet Mez I think what he's saying is that like there life spans is like a nord but is interpreted ad 6 years
fuck no
Pet Mez later the curse dissapeared :)
Oh, thanks for explaining. lol.
I think it's compared to elven years since men live only a fraction of mer.
who is dagoth ur
@7:20 No secrets so far.
I feel for some reason in es6 the last dragonborn will be the 10th Devine
now i wanna fight for the imperials against the genocidal nords ;/
Its hermaus mora not herma mora
All I have to say is Almalexia is fucking fiiiiiine ;)
So the snow demons are kinda like the Others from GoT
you know, this is what we should learn in history class. not ww2 or egypt or some other bullcrap
Notification squad !!!
Orcs only live to six?
Hey Rohshank can you do Clash Royal vids
-Caleb Settles
Maybe, if I can find a way to record it and if I get some extra free time :)
Roshank Redemption thanks
Hi Roshank
Do you hate Pokemon now
so much info...such a good vid but to muck knowledge for me😢😢
Nords are the best race
I’m like the only Breton in the comment section
is this information verified?
skyrim belongs to the nords woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
hate these titles whenever anyone does them. They aren't "secrets." Secrets are hidden and not meant to be found.
