in eastern countries many people are dedicated and respectful i dont think its just these directors its in their culture as a whole. just taking public transport or walking around in taiwan is so nice its a stark contrast to west europe..(and then west europe is a stark contrast to east europe where everything was basically a dump in my childhood)
This is a true case of a multi talented person. He is an excelent illustrator, musician and game designer. And besides he is good at managing a business.
Regardless of whatever situation he finds himself in, whether good or bad, this guy has my support. Never in my life have I ever seen a fighting game with so much soul and dedication as Guilty Gear
He's definitely awesome. I loved the end when he talks about his favorite words. Also, I'd say there's a lot of soul and dedication behind Smash Bros. as well. Can't say whether there's more than in GG since I've never played GG but the Director behind Smash kept testing the Wii U version despite his injuries during development.
@@moses3167 aha I thought about Smash too. Weird how some games convey so much the passion and dedication the guys making it have. Sakurai and Ishiwatari seem to be pretty similar workers. It's the kind of game that when you're playing it, it's nearly as if the creator was there with you while you play and you're both having a lot of fun.
Daisuke is nothing less than amazing, not often a director is so involved with the actual process of game development instead of just overlooking the production. Hoping one day you'll be able to get an interview from Yoko Taro.
I wouldn't call it "talented" but more like a "hard worker" person, he trained hard for every skill he has, and he is a perfect example that a human can do anything he wants as long he work hard for it.
I have mad respect for Daisuke, The early Guilty Gear entries show an extraordinary balance of all of his skills as an artist from illustration, musical composition, and game design in such a well executed and realized manner for someone who was so young at the time.
Probably the only fighting game director I can confidently call an auteur, not to shit on other directors or games but he really turns everything he works on into something that's distinctly him, I don't think Guilty Gear as a series could even continue without him and still be Guilty Gear
He made one badass game. At first, I couldn't get into GGX, because I couldn't understand it at the time. Then, he made Xrd with the perfect graphics, I just couldn't resist. Bought the game dedicate some time, understood the mechanics and now Im a loyal fan of the series.
Yes! just yes! I love gg too! its been really special to me, I even finished xrd when I needed it most :) perfect game for me :) aksys and arc system works forever.
This dude is a master mind. inspirational creator and ive been a fan since the very first GG game. Love his music too. I'm so GLAD Bandainamco used his teams magic for that new DBZ fighting game dropping next year
My goodness, this series certainly deserves more attention. Wonderfully-shot, very intriguing with regard to the content, and generally an entertaining and relaxing watch.
Hah! At 8:00 you can see his headphones. They're Denon AH-D2000 headphones, which are fantastic... but like all D2000s, his are broken at the hinge that connects the ear cups to the headband. He liked them well enough to tape them together, i guess. That's pretty great.

An artist's passion oozes out of his work. Damn Guilty Gear has some of the best if not the best character designs in all of entertainment. Just by looking at them you can see what their personalities are. The music is top tier as well, lore is great and the mechanics of the games are so good.

I've never played a guilty gear game. I don't think I would be any good, but I would like to try it out. Japan looks like a very clean place. That always stands out to me when I watch these videos. I'm not sure if that's really the case, but everything always seems perfect and in its place. I would love to go and see for myself, but I don't know about riding on planes. Seems very scary.
