I use that last "Hillbilly bone ba-bone ba-bone bone" in Tim's deep voice as my notification tone and I will admit, it has startled me more than once. Scared the heck outta my boss one day....she said my purse yelled at her!!!
Three things I love about this song/video: 1. Chance does a superb little bass run at the very beginning that you would swear is an actual bass guitar 2. Adam's kick drum. It is big and booming and mesmerizing 3. The compression they use on Austin's counterpoints that make him sound like an AM radio. Bonus: City Slicker Adam Chance is an utter delight!
It's funny that Chance plays the city slicker since he grew up further out in the country than any of the others. Rob is the only one who' is actually a big city boy. He is originally from Minneapolis and still lives there.
You should see his eyes in sea shanty medley. He is wearing eye liner because he's dressed as a pirate and oh my word do his baby blue eyes pop! Those are his naturally gorgeous eyes!
Blake Shelton had Trace Atkins join him in this song, and Trace is in the video with Blake. It always cracks me up when Rob is identified as a bubba in the video because he's the city boy (Minneapolis metro, Minnesota).
LOLOL….It’s a tailgate party ….you drop the tailgate of your pickup down & pull the ice Chest (full of Cold beer)…bring out the food, hell, even the BBQ pit &, PARTY 💥🍷🍗🍔🍻🌭🥨🥫‼️‼️‼️
Chance changing his identity/looks by simply donning a pair of glasses is reminiscent of Clark Kent/Superman! LOL 😉🤓 I could never believe that everybody around him was fooled by a pair of glasses! 🤣
This video never fails to make my day ! Always good for a smile ! I do find it funny that they choose to have Chance play the awkward and shy ‘nerd’ when he’s from out in the sticks and is more country than all the boys combined 😂😂
I relate to this song massively. I grew up on a farm and am a country girl to the core. Still live in a small tight knit country town and hang out with a bunch of cow town people doing a lot of what you see in this video. I LOVE Home Free and everything they do. They are AWESOME !!!!!
This is such a fun song! Always puts a smile on my face. Love the foot stomping & hand clapping. And always extra special when Tim takes the lead & hearing those low notes. Chance is playing the city slicker but he is the most country of the group. He grew up in the sticks.
Right? The whole time he was saying that I was remembering the house tour from Chance's childhood house. He may live in LA now, but heck, he grew up in a country song. His mama's house makes the filming location for this video look urban.
The "F150 and a 30-ought-six" line where Tim & Chance sing together is a call back to the original video, when Blake Shelton & Trace Adkins sang the line together. This song as Home Free performs it is really a celebration of finding the things you love and grooving on them. The original isn't so much, more making fun of those who didn't grow up in the country culture. Yes, Austin's eyes really are that blue.
Tailgating isn't just done in the country. It's done in parking lots of big events like the Super Bowl or even small events like high school football games.
I _love_ this song - its both bits of my life! I grew up hella country (ermm that F150 with a 30/06--- yuppers learned how to drive in an f150 with a 30/06 in the rifle rack) but I've also lived in 5 countries in cities like Paris, London, Dublin, San Francisco - take my word for it, you _never_ loose that country :-)
You mentioned Austin's eye color. Their video of Finally Free has great lighting and close-ups of each member, so you can really see their eye colors. It also features Chance in the lead!
In addition to the two mentioned in a previous comment, "Everybody Walkin' This Land" is another one where both Austin and Adam's eyes really pop. I think it's largely the outdoor lighting that does so much to bring out the lighter eyes. If you do that one be sure to watch through the outro, though.
This is such a good song and of course, the singing, beatboxing and harmonies are perfect. Chance does such a terrific 'nerd'! There are live version of this and, if you think they can swing their hips in the video - watch this live one: ua-cam.com/video/3QbKOM84-nk/v-deo.htmlsi=2zfz7bFFSW6r9owB! As for Austin's blue eyes, look again at "meet in the middle" or "Thank God I'm a Country Boy". Love your reactions & channel!
On the subject of the Superman disguise, if you watch this video again, and/or the Chris Reeves Superman movies, you will see 3 parts of it. Glasses, yes, especially those big dark frames. Hair style, yes, usually a more careless style for the Confident one. The biggest part though, body language. The Chris Reeves Superman movies capture this perfectly, but if you watch the subtle changes in Chance's posture and body language, that communicates so much. If you watch the Might as Well Be Me, and Everybody Walking This Land back to back, you can see it too.
I love watching your reactions to HF's videos and I may have already commented something but I just caught you asking about Austin's eyes and if they're really that blue because it doesn't seem real. I'm 1 of 5 (living) kids and there's not a one of us that has the same color eyes. I have 2 brothers that died as babies so not sure what their eye color would have been. But my mom had dark brown and my dad has hazel. My sister has gray - and they change colors depending on what she's wearing - my brothers (in order) have hazel, dark brown and the bluest of blue you've ever seen! (I have grass green). Everyone would ask him if he had contacts in because his eyes are the prettiest of baby blue you could ever imagine. Both my grandmother's had blue eyes, my dad's mom's being this bright sky blue. I don't know about Austin, I've seen him up close in a few vids but don't think I ever noticed his eye color before.
Love the reaction. I believe the blond in the white top this is Tim's wife Jenika Marion.😊 she is featured on a song with Austin Brown. I can't remember off the top of my head right now.
Of course Chance is actually from Alabama, not a city boy. The city boys are Rob and Adam are from Minnesota. Everyone else is country, Tim from Southeast Texas and Austin from Georgia. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
First time I've actually heard this, perfect for Tim (Texas), Austin (Georgia), Chance (Alabama) to do this Okie boy's song! I had to explain to my husband, who grew up in St Louis, why Bubba is prominent around the south. And I also love that Tim said he had to 'translate' Austin speak to the other guys when he first joined (he told that story in a Story Time with Tim.) because his Georgia accent was so thick Adam, Chris, and Rob being from Minnesota weren't quite used to that. 😁🤣
You really need to watch the From the Vault/behind the scenes of this song now. I love that they give us a look at how their songs are made sometimes, and this one is lots of fun! ua-cam.com/video/uwg5i-rsNCk/v-deo.html Thanks so much for a great reaction! I love that dance move too! ;D
THEY ARE THAT BLUE!! I just saw them this past Saturday in Connecticut and I was fortunate enough to do a meet and greet! Let me tell you his eyes are like ice blue they are gorgeous!! Surprisingly enough just another bit of information they are ALL really tall Tim is slightly shorter that the other guys but yes they are all very tall!
So upbeat--celebrating country!! A fabulous HF "ear worm" 😆 Once I hear this one it replays in my head for the rest of the day ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ (And I'm fairly sure this is the character Chance reprises in the "Might As Well Be Me" video 😂)
Oh my God even when they're cutting up and stuff they still sound so amazing... That is actually Chance doing that low.. I've got a request for you sir it's called Between Two Tim's funniest darn thing you'll ever see.. I really hope to see your reaction on that and I can't outrun you.. You are so adorable ❤️❤️🏡🆓🏡🍟
One of my favorite songs they have done! I've watched a hundred times I bet! lol. And love your reactions so much! You would love it hearing thousands of people all standing up, stomping, singing and yelling ye-ha along with Home Free. This was a really great one they did at live shows (I saw several times this one) and it was just awesome! And yes, there was a lot of yelling and whistling when they did their hip rolls or whatever that is!!! Take care...
I love this song and this video so much. But, if you loved the dance moves in this video, you really do need to watch The video of Tim's dance moves. I think the moves that Tim and Adam are able to pull off will shock you.
I've seen a few "live" vids that people have posted (never been, or likely to be, lucky enough to see them live for myself) and Tim and Adam sure have the moves!! Watching them makes me come over all unnecessary! 🥵😉
I don’t know if it’s something they utilise but I remember seeing in a bts from a TV show once that if you have a black light on set it will really make blue eyes pop.
Rob's wife Kelsey is also in the video. She's in dark coveralls and a white shirt and can be seen dancing next to the long-haired woman. Another reactor was watching the BTS video from their From The Vault series, and he was watching it right after Rob and Austin had released their beautiful cover of Nessun Dorma. He said he couldn't look at Rob the same way because the two songs are so different. I guess watching a man pull off an iconic aria, then watch him shake his booty was a little too much! 🤣🤣🤣
Love Chance in this... it's hilarious that he acts like a city boy and you should see the video of when he goes home...talk about totally country...breaks out the machete to clear the trail in the ATV 😂😂😂😂😂
Oh, them boys got all the moves they need to have 😂 This one is especially fun live, not only because of the moves but because of the energy it brings to the party. I'm excited as the European Tour is about to kick off in less than a month. It's been 3,5 years since we last saw them here.
Adam rupp's wife? No she's not a fan of being in the spotlight. The only ones I've seen her in are friends in low places, summer in the country, and white Christmas
When I watched Blake Shelton’s/Trace Adkins video of their original, I loved it and immediately thought of how much fun it would be if Home Free would cover it! Of course, my dream came true not much longer afterwards! This was so much fun to watch, and see how much you enjoyed it! I’m a city girl, myself and could not see myself living on a farm getting up at 4 or 5 am every morning to feed chickens and milk cows, and other farm chores! lol Watching these amazing guys was loads of fun, especially seeing Chance needing out! Love these guys! What can’t they do?
I guess I have a bit of hillbilly bone in me. I did have a Bubba in my family tree. In fact, it took me a couple months of phone calls to relatives to find someone who remembered Uncle Bubba's real name was Claude.
Great reaction to a fun video and song. Home Free knows how to make us smile and love Chance playing his part to the hilt. Home Free never disappoints! Please check out Heaven and Die a Happy Man, such good love songs!
It’s funny because Chance is the most country of them all being raised in the sticks of Alabama but they had him as the city slicker. Both Jenika and Oleana were in the part when Tim sang “country queens”. Really fun song and I love to see them dance. Love TIm’s lows too. Good one DJ!😍
TOO MANY PAUSES. I enjoy when reactors let it play through and comment at the end. It really helps one enjoy the flow of the song. Other than that,I enjoy your enthusiasm.
I use that last "Hillbilly bone ba-bone ba-bone bone" in Tim's deep voice as my notification tone and I will admit, it has startled me more than once. Scared the heck outta my boss one day....she said my purse yelled at her!!!

Funniest thing is Chance grew up a Hillbilly!
It's funny that Chance plays the city slicker since he grew up further out in the country than any of the others. Rob is the only one who' is actually a big city boy. He is originally from Minneapolis and still lives there.

It always cracks me up when Rob is identified as a bubba in the video because he's the city boy (Minneapolis metro, Minnesota).
If you haven't yet you should totally check out the live videos of this song! They even do the dance live too (in case you were wondering 😂)
His eyes are blue 🔥😍
I'm that city slicker when I visit my cousin Charles at his pig farm near Moultrie, Georgia
You realized how it sounded after you said that you “have a small hillbilly bone inside you” and tried not to laugh at yourself. Excellent phrasing.
Tim and Austin together are like bread and butter
LOLOL….It’s a tailgate party ….you drop the tailgate of your pickup down & pull the ice Chest (full of Cold beer)…bring out the food, hell, even the BBQ pit &, PARTY 💥🍷🍗🍔🍻🌭🥨🥫‼️‼️‼️
Chance changing his identity/looks by simply donning a pair of glasses is reminiscent of Clark Kent/Superman! LOL 😉🤓 I could never believe that everybody around him was fooled by a pair of glasses! 🤣
If you ever check out a live concert version of this, the women go wild when they do the hip moves...these boys are hot.
This video never fails to make my day ! Always good for a smile ! I do find it funny that they choose to have Chance play the awkward and shy ‘nerd’ when he’s from out in the sticks and is more country than all the boys combined 😂😂
Man just ain't seen enough real southern boy blue eyes
I relate to this song massively. I grew up on a farm and am a country girl to the core. Still live in a small tight knit country town and hang out with a bunch of cow town people doing a lot of what you see in this video. I LOVE Home Free and everything they do. They are AWESOME !!!!!
Austin's eyes are blue. You'd like Nashville, Tennessee then it's country settings on the outskirts and also a big city with lots of city life.
Needless to say when the boys do those dance moves live the women in the crowd love it 😀❤️
Not just the women!!
This is such a fun song! Always puts a smile on my face. Love the foot stomping & hand clapping. And always extra special when Tim takes the lead & hearing those low notes. Chance is playing the city slicker but he is the most country of the group. He grew up in the sticks.

Yes, Austin's eyes really are that blue.
I think his eyes look like they’re dark blue too
Great reaction to this song don't sell yourself short you would fit right in.
Yep, Chance is the most country of all of them!! His obsession growing up was waaaaaaay out in the stix!! Lol
LOVE Chance's bass coverage in this song. So smooth
Tailgating isn't just done in the country. It's done in parking lots of big events like the Super Bowl or even small events like high school football games.
I _love_ this song - its both bits of my life! Love every thing about this one!
Fabulous cover-it’s a real “”mover”
You mentioned Austin's eye color. Their video of Finally Free has great lighting and close-ups of each member, so you can really see their eye colors. It also features Chance in the lead!
Thank you. I just posed this as a question in another comment.
IIRC the photography on that video is so clear.
Yay! Dancing and sing my country heart out already.❤
They can dance if they don't have to move their feet.
This is so fun & Awesome 🤣🤣🎵🎶🫶🏼🔥‼️
In addition to the two mentioned in a previous comment, "Everybody Walkin' This Land" is another one where both Austin and Adam's eyes really pop. I think it's largely the outdoor lighting that does so much to bring out the lighter eyes. If you do that one be sure to watch through the outro, though.
Greatest reaction I love
❤how your reaction sounds real and not fake. You are great. ❤😮 😅
So many things to love about this video AND your reaction!! ❤
They work with choreographer Kristin Denehy to get the dance moves right.
This is such a good song and of course, the singing, beatboxing and harmonies are perfect. Chance does such a terrific 'nerd'! My friend, you need to visit a dude ranch... I'm sure there is something comparable in your neck of the woods. 😊🎵🎶
Love the reaction. I believe the blond in the white top this is Tim's wife Jenika Marion.😊 she is featured on a song with Austin Brown. I can't remember off the top of my head right now.
#JOINTHEHEARD
So fun!
Ironically, Chance comes from Alabama and has strong country roots.
Of course Chance is actually from Alabama, not a city boy. The city boys are Rob and Adam are from Minnesota. Everyone else is country, Tim from Southeast Texas and Austin from Georgia. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.

Thanks so much for a great reaction! I love that dance move too! ;D
love this reaction... can you please do their new song " skull and bones"
Great reaction to this song.
Everything about Austin is gorgeous.
I think that dance move came from everyone becoming weak in the knees from that bass 😂
THEY ARE THAT BLUE!! I just saw them this past Saturday in Connecticut and I was fortunate enough to do a meet and greet! Let me tell you his eyes are like ice blue they are gorgeous!! They used to do this live all the time and it was absolutely AWESOME. Yes, loved seeing that dance up close in person.
I don’t know if it’s something they utilise but I remember seeing in a bts from a TV show once that if you have a black light on set it will really make blue eyes pop.
This is such a fun song and video - those boys sure have the moves as well!! 😉 I can't help but dance whenever I hear it.
Tim’s smile always makes my heart melt ❤🏴
Mine too 😊

That's not her
that shirt looks SO GOOD on Austin
I do the housework to this song. My all time favourite Home Free.
This so very awesome! There is nothing they can't do!! Love your reaction!
Love Chance in this... it's hilarious that he acts like a city boy and you should see the video of when he goes home...talk about totally country...breaks out the machete to clear the trail in the ATV 😂😂😂😂😂
It is an amazing video, especially when Tim was once refered to as a dancing refrigerator.
You are soooo going to love this!!
Oh, them boys got all the moves they need to have 😂
This one is especially fun live, not only because of the moves but because of the energy it brings to the party.
I'm excited as the European Tour is about to kick off in less than a month. It's been 3,5 years since we last saw them here.
So so happy that you did this song it’s one of my favorites, also the bass is to die for❤
Adam Rupps wife is in this too.
You have to have Chance and Timmy out front on this. Blake and Trace are Bari-basses. The original.
Adam rupp's wife? No she's not a fan of being in the spotlight. The only ones I've seen her in are friends in low places, summer in the country, and white Christmas
@sarahc2887 want to say she was in this for a short and in feelin it
@@Iansco1 hmmmm no not in that video either
Finally!! 😂
Great reaction, thank you!! ❤❤
I just watched Blake Sheldon’s original. Trace Atkins sang the base part (who else!). It always seen HF ups the original of all their covers.
When I watched Blake Shelton’s/Trace Adkins video of their original, I loved it and immediately thought of how much fun it would be if Home Free would cover it! Of course, my dream came true not much longer afterwards! This was so much fun to watch, and see how much you enjoyed it! I love this song! It’s such a happy song.
I guess I have a bit of hillbilly bone in me. I did have a Bubba in my family tree. In fact, it took me a couple months of phone calls to relatives to find someone who remembered Uncle Bubba's real name was Claude.
🤠🔥🤠
Totally love this song!!❤❤❤
Didnt you know that glasses can completely change a person? Just ask Clark Kent or every super hero known to human kind.
This is one of there best. Love it. Thanks for your time
Great reaction to a fun video and song.
That's stuck in my head for the rest of the day now 😊
Us south Ga. boys have purty eyt... lol lol
I think the Filharmonic taught them that dance move. You have to watch there sing off battle with them. ua-cam.com/video/Sg-gSgdj8ro/v-deo.html
Sounds like you need a dude ranch - enough to visit, but dont have to deal with the chores. Cause the chores are no fun. 🤣
I like the dance moves hate this song, so I never know how to feel about it.
Adam, Tim, and Rob's wives are featured in this as well as Austin's ex- girlfriend.
I only saw Tim's wife and Austin's ex gf
TOO MANY PAUSES. I enjoy when reactors let it play through and comment at the end. It really helps one enjoy the flow of the song. Other than that,I enjoy your enthusiasm.
