Would I be wrong to think if Zim is actually just partially deaf? Hence all the screaming and not being able to hear from ten feet away

Snakes do have ears, just they don't hear like how we do, they mainly focus on the vibrations in the ground. And from seeing Zim, he probably has more of a handicap, possibly due when he went insane when he piloted a giant Irken mech from that one Tak episode
