does anyone else get kinda down abt their curly hair? personally it makes me a little frustrated i have to go through a series of steps and use products just to make my hair uniform in my wave/curl pattern. i wish it could just be like that and look it’s best without putting in the work lmao. great video though :)
think it this way: you are taking time for yourself, doing something for yourself. it is a form of self love if you want to put it that way, at least that's what i try to remind myself and it helps me a lot
I seriously thought I just scored big when I saw her updated wash day routine and then I saw yours right under hers in my subscriptions. Collars are so rare anymore so I’m glad to see queens supporting queens 🤙🏻
If other 2a are anything like me, I think it's because the hair is juuuuuust straight enough that you can look okay doing "straight hair" methods (shampoo, condition, brush out, towel dry). Those steps flatten out my waves, and it's frizzy, and summer is a mess, but it was okay enough to get me through high school with relatively little hair-trauma. I have friends with 2C and tighter curls who followed those steps as a kid too, but it was always really obvious that it wasn't working for them, and that there had to be a better way. But since my hair could get almost straight (at least in the front where I can easily see lol), it was easy for me to think I had "straight" hair. On the days when it didn't look straight, I'd just think "I must not have brushed enough." I'm so grateful it's getting more attention, and that other people wised up before I did, because I could have never figured out all this by myself lol.
@@ILuvAyeAye i was the same when my hair ever looked wavy i just said damn i forgot to comb again or maybe it was just the haircuts i got never really brought out the waves and mainly looked straight but now i let it grow out super wavy

I just discovered Tabatha's channel today, and because of the collab you did I discovered yours too! I have super thick used-to-be-wavy hair that was damaged from a bad bleach job last year. I haven't been taking care of it because I figured all hope was lost and I didn't know how to manage my wavy hair anyways... I can be a bit dramatic at times haha! Recently I've been missing my natural hair and started my journey of researching how to repair and embrace the hair that I have. So yeah, just wanted to say thank you so much! i was just watching your older video but now i’m watching this one- i’ve just started to try and care for my hair texture- i used to just wash it, brush it as soon as i got out of the shower, then put some anti-frizz cream in it and call it a day, but i’ve realized recently that that’s not whats good for my hair at all, and i’m now on my journey to get my curls back (i had them when i was little)
so i am on the like 2 day of trying out to get my waves back but, how do you not get tangly hair? i just want to come it XD i havent managed to get alot of waves back yet (might take some time)
I’d love to see your results when diffusing like Manes by Mel! She has a very different hair texture but I’d love to see if her technique creates less frizz, her video is also super detailed and has been helpful for me. Right??? I wanted (and got) a fringe cut into my hair but I can't find someone to show me how to style them lol. I have 2c/3a, and I have yet to figure it out...like I can straighten my bangs and make that look okay but I just don't know what to do with them with my natural texture 😂
@@melindab Hey Mel, thanks to trying out this routine I've found out a lot of things :) the biggest is I put way too much stuff on my hair thinking it's damaged and dry while it isn't :-D thank you very much, this made me rethink my routine and I will continue to try to switch things up here and there and see how my hair reacts :) have a great day! Typing the routine out so I can better commit it to my memory: 1. So basically while in the shower do shampoo/conditioner, detangle with conditioner, and also squish2condish a little more conditioner on the ends, 2. then leave in conditioner while out of the shower and after squeezing excess water out, 3. then curl gel scrunched in and a little more smoothed over top, 4. then use a curl friendly hair towel/100% cotton shirt to scrunch out excess water, 5. then a little more gel scrunched in the bottoms, 6. then drip dry, or diffuse using the pixie method for a minute per section, and also hover method.
How often do you wash your hair ? I’m just starting my curly girl journey 🦋 do you co wash in between ? also how do you refresh your hair if you don’t wash everyday , how do you sleep so your hair doesn’t get ruined at night ? Sorry so many questions lol
Looooove your personality! Lot of the restrictions in the cg method just drives me up the wall. Im not young but not yet elderly and I never had issues with my hair and right now my hair is the most damaged I ever had it. I think it was the finger coiling causing hydro fatigue. Also all these so called "good ingredients", i believe, are the culprit also of my hair damaged. I have a 3 b-c hair and all these oils just don't work! Lost slot of coin with the famous "trial and error" Jesus, ive never had so much issues with hair products and my hair. Even with the blow dryer w/diffuser is just crazy. Interesting. I didn’t care for that shampoo. I liked the vitalcurl shampoo by ouidad. I also noticed how much they have sudsing conditioner. I would love if they just had a cream conditioner. I have 2b loose curls.

Girl I need your help!! How do you brush it? I have problem with my hair after I sleep... it’s all frizzy and not that curly anymore. I’m new to all this since I’ve always thought I had straight hair... ❤️❤️
I only brush my hair before I get in the shower bc brushing wavy hair causes frizz so you can’t really brush it everyday unless you want to fully rewet it after. I have my refresh routine posted before this video and I show you how to fix your hair after you wake up and your hair is a mess!🖤

A diffuser is a part that you attach to your blow drier. It diffused the air so it’s not so aggressive. The diffuser helps illuminate frizz. Without one, your hair is blown all over the place creating more frizz
Whenever I use a curl cream or gel, my curls look really weird. Like they stick together in a not natural way and doesn’t define my natural curl pattern. I use a small amount too and when I use more, my hair gets an unbearable greasy film. Anyone have any tips? Thank you 😘
