Nice video, one thing that just pops into my head is to just steam the boilies, this should also soften them without washing out the ingredients. You would only have to test how far the boilies subsequently absorb additional liquid.
I quite often do that. Soft washed out, can work really well on pressured waters. I also like putting them out while they’re still hot too. That can work well too 👍🏻
@@waderlife even particles, like hemp I like to put out hot too if I can, as it kicks off the oils better. Just being different from the norm can be a big edge. 👍🏻🎣
I understand the concept of making them softer, but it does feel like you’re just taking out some of the attractors and flavours to then just add some product to put back in? just an observation, not a criticism
Great comment Lee 👍👍 I've thought the same in the past and don't disagree that some goodness is lost in the water you pour away. However, the chorizo liquid seems to add in far more attraction than is ever lost from the heat treatment process. Plus you get the added benefit from using a softened bait 👍 I wonder if the water that's poured away could be put to use somehow? Maybe mix it with some boilie crumb to make a groundbait?

That's an interesting idea @Stefan_Germany... you could be on to something there 👍

Ah interesting... Thanks for the tip Steven 👍👍
I've also found softened boilies go out really well in a throwing stick.
