Oh yeah thats my bad they did say it was copied from your list, but I just forgot to mention that during filming. This is Kristens most updated list which features much better card draw and interaction www.moxfield.com/decks/awf1pfIeH0-vjdUNE5Wpzw
Hey PJ. Honestly, the strongest Voltron commander is still Feather, the Redeemed. The reason is, because not only do you not invest as many permanents to the battlefield, but the card draw is easier to accomplish than other commanders. The spell selection is also much better than what it used to be. White has also gotten some bomb defensive cards, like Blacksmith's Skill and Clever Concealment. Couple that with creatures that get back instants and sorceries that don't target, along with blinking your own creatures, and opponents have a hard time dealing with your board. On the offensive side, doubling Feather's power and giving her double strike knocks out opponents out of nowhere. However, the best thing about Feather? The ability to make opponents skip their combats with Stonehorn Dignitary, Blinding Angel, and secret tech Intimidation Bolt.
Feather can kill extremely fast, but it is a bit more fragile. And if they get feather out of play, the cards in your hand are basically unplayable which isnt great. Wow that intimidation bolt tech looks fantastic
@@CommanderReplayfor me, light paws hits jackpot. Lightning fast and merciless. I got owned but it was from a free, red, lightning bolt on T2 just when I was looking for protection 😫 magic sometimes is like a casino. You have a full house but there is a 4 of a kind in front of you 😅. Anyway I like Salt 😊
I also have a weird affinity with Drakuseth lol it's one of the first things I go tutor for in my Isshin deck. Double attack triggers, and a damage tripler like City on Fire. Which is also a broken card for token decks. I've never actually cast it for its mana cost before. Always just tap tokens to pay the convoke
My favorite boros voltron commander is Kellan atm. Back when you made a video about him you talked about it being hard to do go wide and go tall, but I find that's not the choice you are making at all. Kellan let's you do voltron with the ability to go wide at a moments notice with very little card investment. Throw in a couple cards like song of totentanz or firecat blitz, and you can get some incredible damage with haste the moment there is an opening. It's pretty easy to staple 4-5 equipment on kellan, and then spend 6-7 on x for song, and you have 30-42 damage just from rats, not including whatever your kellan can do.
Yeah ive only played astor once, but there is a lot of potential there. Maybe less raw power than some of the others, but crazy amounts of value. Id like to play it more.
Yeah budget wise they've just always been on the pricey side. You can do decent things on like $100, but youll be missing the most powerful stuff like feast and famine and engligttned tutor. If you have a highly interactive play group, you can try running up to 10 protection spells...thats what I do in my Aurelia list. And thankfully most protection spells are cheap.
@CommanderReplay we don't play cedh but we've been playing together for about 18years and have bred some crazy competition so we play turn 5 games regularly. And there's alot of black sac decks flying around and it's brutal for voltron.
Oh yeah that is gonna be a tough sell. If you're determine enough you can work around it, but its still not gonna work every time. Bruenor with assault suit comes to mind, but that is very specific. Overall easier to not play voltron into mono black. @@Brandon-zq3wh
@CommanderReplay last time I attempted voltron was when I was on a recording with you guys I was playing arden and Bruce tarl. I almost won't but old stick fingers got me. Think you played tovolar.
@@Brandon-zq3whif you want a voltron deck that doesnt just *immediately* fold to mono black sacrifice, you might look at Skullbriar. He has haste, costs two mana, and keeps w/e counters are put onto him when he dies, but it would have you angling at 1/1 counters instead of equipment voltron. Theres a bunch of equipment and auras that put counters on things, especially since neon dynasty and fallout too!
Normally Nahiri should not be play as voltron. Its more a Go wild deck using the fact that all the artifact that nahiri exile can be play for free and that all the equipment have living weapon, so basically you are casting more a more "creatures" for free from the top of your deck. Thats the fun idea of the deck, but as an voltron deck I dont see it because you basically just casting one or two extra.
Yeah that’s how I play mine, I think if you’re going pure Voltron you want free equips on your Commander preferably like Gwyn or Astor, or keyword soup My deck you curve out living weapons/barbed spike etc and then when you play Nahiri it’s for 3 triggers
@@CommanderReplay nice. for two mana seems too good to pass up :) Is there an updated decklist? Finally having a crack at Boros and I like the commander, so interested....
I find that there are 2 types of games lately. Games with 0 removal and games with every removal spell in the history of magic. Never really know which one you are gonna get.
i told you that sounded suspiciously like my casual launch decklist, and they even used my same deck name lmao

It is indeed your deck list and I DID tell CR that when I chose it to have him Show it off :)

@@tanathosXX I like the casino description.
The kamigawa creature equipments are the way to go. They fill out both slots and allow for some great shenanigans.
Are you running Bloodforged Battle-axe and Toggo Goblin Weaponsmith? They give you additional free equipments to help reduce Nahiri's casting cost.
Oo toggo seems spicy. Bloodforged was in their list, I dont think toggo though. If it my were list it would definitely have a number of changes.

Love Boros equipment archetype! Agreed that the human deck got to build up without much interaction.
Yeah, a little bit of removal would have gone a long way there.
Comment for engagement for the algorithm
ENGAGEMENT ENGAGED.
My toggo akiri work well as Voltron with swords, and i added the for mirrodin equipment to go wide for defense
is the fallout set on mtgo ?
“yeuuup” 😂 a nice way to say “awh fack”
Lol yes indeed. its a family friendly show.

I just filmed a video with Kellan. I made the most hardcore sunforger deck I could think of. It did not disappoint.Yeah that seems real good too.
Cost cheating is strong, anytime I see a commander that does things cost reduced or cost free across the table, alarms start ringing in my head.
Yeah cost reduction is always powerful. Also "free" and "cascade" tend to be real problems in the command zone.
Not one of the strongest but I think Astor bearer of blades has a claim to a strong borrow voltron especially at lower power levels

You need more Kamigawa creature equipment
I love how she plays, but it's sad that Dogmeat does the same thing + green.
I want to play equipment decks but they can ve expensive on part and they don't hold up in my play group 😢
