Good run Andrew got some stuff I gotta workout apparently your not suppose to race with a 1/4 tank of gas, seems to cause fuel pressure issues lol. We’ll have to run it again sometime soon 😊 And if anyone’s wondering I don’t have a ton of mods done. Stock blower, stock motor, stock trans. This is all just a pulley, injectors, and fuel pumps with a tune.
I wish I would have been there.. That 9 sec Hellcat ran very close to my ET's. That would make a good race. I'll probably be at Bradenton again in 2 to 3 weeks.
Did you see how the Z28 ran later in the night? It looked formidable. The Hellcats were also promising, but I'd expect a better 60' with bead blocks and slicks/drag radials. Otherwise the Redeye was on par. It was good reading the comment from the Hellgato about 1/4 tank gas level/pressure issues. Looking forward to a rematch. The track prep was horrible running against the fox body Mustang. But it does demonstrate that racers can run against normally quicker/faster cars and still win when the conditions are right (or poor in this case).
Exactly right on all points. That Z28 was tuned to run a 6.50 index in the 1/8th, but wasn’t setup to run the whole 1/4 (notice how it shutdown so early when it eventually left behind me)
The Plaid is running on the original stock Pirelli P Zero summer tires on OEM Tesla 19” wheels. Weight-reduced by 160-170 lbs: Backseats and most rear material removed. Both front seats are still IN PLACE, along with all door panels, airbags, mirrors, 20 stereo speakers and subwoofer remain intact.
Looks like you were spinning past the 330 against the Fox; only 2.11 seconds from there to the end. I don't think you were down on power at all. Crazy.
Andrew,my man a question for you,@ 9:16,she got a great smile,look @you. . . isn't she lovely? hehe,seldom i saw pretty smiles,looks on your video keep it coming ,A.. Love and Peace to all .
We didn’t get to chat, so the only obvious visible things were the drag radials on beadlock wheels and the airbox. Many guys do pulleys and/or methanol injection but I didn’t have time to look for them…
5:48 With many modifications, he’s into the 9’s (a 9.86 ET in our race shown). And when all the conditions are perfect, it can go 9.50s, but all conditions are rarely perfect!
Everytime I see Tom handing you the timeslips I smile. Glad to see he seems to be back in good health after his medical issues. I see that Elon has dropped the price of the Plaid to around $89k. It's so interesting seeing the price fluctuations that a company such as Tesla is able to immediately make compared to, say, the legacy automakers' more traditional business model of using franchise dealerships.
If the price of the Plaid had dropped to just $89k from >$150K, then clearly Tesla has been overcharging by extreme amounts The pricing of all electric vehicles from Tesla, Rimac, etc., are clearly very overpriced!! This proves that Tesla and other have been price gouging all these years !! There are still many other drawbacks with every one of these electric vehicles; some similar with the hybrids, many worse; especially the full control of the vehicle, compter, software, updates, etc. => This reason alone is certainly enough to avoid any of these' especially since the owners are all Globalist/Elite 'puppets' as Elon Musk, etc.; Then again all of the other main automakers, worldwide are also clearly within the Globalist/Elite "Corporate/ist/ISM" 'puppet' system of control.
What is the life expectancy on Tesla batteries? Considering how new Tesla is to the car industry I can’t see them being around 30 years or longer compared to gas engines.
Warranty is 8 years or 150,000 miles. We’ve never kept a car that long. (Sold our last Mustang with 140k miles after 7 years.) We took our 2019 Model S down the dragstrip 1001 times. Ran mid 10s. Nothing ever broke and the 1000th run was faster than all previous 999 passes. Note that batteries can be individually serviced. It’s not “all or nothing” like the propaganda outlets tell us. There are shops that will fix just the problem cells for a fraction of the cost.
That being said, we’ve owned six Teslas over the last decade and one showed a fault code. We took it in on a Monday and picked it up on Tuesday with a whole new battery pack installed under warranty. Easy peesy. No questions asked. So then we replaced the floor mats and wiper blades that same week just to complete the “new car” experience. Just like new after 4 years of use 👍Still going strong. After that we are not scared of battery issues. (Plus they are 27 times less likely to catch fire than gas cars, although the propaganda mills have convinced most people of the opposite.)
This one is gutted in the back; No back seats. No sound deadening material. All the heavy foam and carpet and trim is gone. Most of the rattling is from the bare metal of the hatchback touching bare metal of the body…
Gearheads have figured out that this Channel is actually about all the *other* cars. That’s why the cameras are pointed at them, and not the Tesla. (It’s also why we avoid Tesla vs Tesla races.)

That plaid is quick.
Had to subscribe !!
A rundown of the Mods on the S Plaid? Wheels and how much weight reduction, again?
Rear seat delete -150lbs = .15s faster 1/4

Nice race brother!! 🤙🏽 Redeye went 10.60 did he had any mods? 🤔

Good stuff!
Will always have a soft spot for the fox bodies. Glad the driver is such a nice guy, otherwise it would ruin it completely lol
I’m confused the title said a nine second hellcat I saw a 10 second 😂

Is there something loose in the cabin, or is that normal Tesla interior rattle?
This car is gutted in the back, so there’s metal hatchback on metal frame and all sound deadening materials have been removed.
@@TeslaPlaidChannel That would explain what I was hearing.👍

For reference, and these guys actually know some things about cars: www.motortrend.com/features/you-are-wrong-about-ev-fires
Tesla's are superior, but why do they always sound like they have groceries in the back seat at 3/4 track?
This one is gutted in the back; No back seats. No sound deadening material. All the heavy foam and carpet and trim is gone. Most of the rattling is from the bare metal of the hatchback touching bare metal of the body…
I think Tesla S Is gonna win
Most of the time, but not always. And if it looks too lopsided, against slower cars like Dodge Demons, we will give them the “hit” (a headstart)
@@TeslaPlaidChannel Elon Musk Tested About Speed To Get More battery power By Electric Car Motors Like Performance And Engine Upgrades
Hellcats have got to be the most overrated cars of the decade lol.
Why do you say that? No car comes running 9s unless it’s a plaid.
@@joshreynolds729agreed not sure how running 9’s is overrated lol
Having to shift makes the cars look slow, but they are a good drift and drag platform to have some fun in.
Yep all that horsepower and still go nowhere way faster cars out there for less money
@@joshreynolds729 claim 9s. Don't run 9
Hellcats are the fastest gasoline cars out there
At some point the Tesla becomes boring. How many times can Andrew run 9.15 and not eventually want to go faster?
Gearheads have figured out that this Channel is actually about all the *other* cars. That’s why the cameras are pointed at them, and not the Tesla. (It’s also why we avoid Tesla vs Tesla races.)
Sucks to lose, huh?!
It's still rare enough that we actually welcome it every once in awhile. And every real drag racer knows: "There's always someone faster"
Figures them sad cats no eyes all hype always getting there asses gapped
