Another banger. And man you're hitting some big boy tracks lately. Call me a cheater, but in casual play if I hit my ball into rough (and am sure that the ball is in play) and can't find it, I'll drop without a penalty stroke.
I agonized for a few holes on what to do haha. If I had time maybe I would have found the ball but there were people behind us coming up. St the end of the day score was secondary and enjoying the course with my buddies was what mattered most. Thanks for watching as always 👊
Love the video man... Was such a great video to see the whole course... HAHAH, my video did not end up coming out. with 26mph wind, it was impossible to film but the day you got is gorgeous. I would highly recommend playing Poppy, also a beautiful course there! But amazing video. your putting is on fire brotha.
Great round. Fantastic front nine. You were hitting great. Beautiful views that is a bucket list of mine. My dad mentioned he played that back in the day for 20 dollars. Be nice to see those prices again. Nice job and looking forward to the next one.
Played this course for the first time from the tips this past summer and shot 90 as a 10 handicap, probably the happiest I’ve been for a 90 in my life. I’ve nicknamed this course “beautiful death” as that is exactly what it is😂
Nice round. I loved Spyglass when I played a few years back. Tanked the first holes at Spyglass and Pebble due to nerves and being uncomfortable. Tee time at 6:30 am in heavy fog, asked them what they do if the fog is excessive, and they just laughed at me. Made a bunch of pars, but despite amazing conditions otherwise, made 2 big numbers because not enough sand in a few of the bunkers.
No shame in that score for the first time playing such a tough track. I'm sure there are several shots you wish you could have back. A little advice, never say, "What else could go wrong" because you will surely find out. Another great vid!
I love this course. First time I played was a handful of decades ago when it was the NCGA home course and the green fees were $35 for NCGA members. I was a 14 at the time and shot a 81. I didn't play it again for 20 years as I knew that I would not ever get near that number again. So true. Qualified for the NCGA 4 ball finals in the late 90's and again at a 14, I think I shot 92 that day. My partner who was a steady 10, shot a 99. Unfortunately he was short and straight and couldn't reach most of the par 4s due to the tournament tee lengths for the day.
@@GolfParfection it’s a gem. Definitely have done the Northwood/Bodega and Northwood/Windsor combos. The perfect day is early 9 at northwood, go explore the area have lunch and come back for a second 9 during the golden hour around twilight. Anyway, love your videos, keep up the great content!
great summary - like the quick but complete review- what app do you use for you shot tracking in the video - nicely done , good preview for my round at SPY today
Playing there in a couple weeks for the NCGA outing event. Debating on walking with my push cart versus getting the cart and deal with cart path only. How was walking the course for you?
I personally try to walk when it's available and I had no issues walking Spyglass. There is a hill or two to contend with but like you I did not want to deal with the cart path only stuff. If you walked Spanish or Pebble you won't have too much of an issue at Spy. Good luck at your outing!
Thanks! Yeah next time maybe I'll splurge for a caddie. Was just trying to enjoy it as much as I could with my buddies and soak it all in. Will have to play Spyglass again in the future!
@@GolfParfection That's high as hell for just 6100 yds, I'm 60 and generally play from 6000-6200; that course looks like it would have eaten my 15 handicap for lunch.

That place looks so pure! You’re really putting well with the armlock. And I like the shot box you added. 👍
Thanks for noticing the new graphic! Also I hope they don't ban armlocks else I'll be screwed 🤣

The fog on the Monterey peninsula is no joke. When it's really bad you're just hitting into the abyss haha.

I couldn't imagine playing from the back tees that would be too difficult for my taste haha.
I’ll be there in Nov., I played Pebble last year. Very nice viseo
Have a good one! Spyglass is a treat 🤙
Spyglass is top notch. Hope you come visit the redwoods and play Northwood sometime!
I hope to get out to Northwood one day! Probably make a trip out of it and get 27 holes out there play Northwood and another 18 somewhere else 😎

I use shot tracer pro on macOS 🤙
lol, did you really laser the distance for your putt off the fringe on the 10th?

Good drives. Looking like you are avg about 240 to 250.
Yup spot on! I could eek a little more yardage out but it's not controlled. Much prefer the fairway when I can 🤣
Great video! So have you definitely made the switch to one length irons now?
The one lengths as today are still in the bag 👊
@@GolfParfection I love them. Started in the F7 days. Since have gamed F8s, F9s, SZs, RSs and have a set of LTDx on order that should be in next week.
Great round for your first time out! I'm sure you'll shave off a few more strokes next time just from the extra course knowledge.

What's the yardage, slope and rating from the white tees?
Yardage: 6118
Rating/Slope: 71.6/133
