Right at about 80000 miles my 5.7 water pump, t-stat, and heater hose decided to all take a shit. Got it fixed and now I’m at like 120k miles. I think that’s just a defect on all the newer model Hemis.
A bro I’m in the process of collecting parts got hellcat wheel, whole complete scat rear end, and front end(no motor no tranny) so do I need to get the body harness from the newer charger too? And can I use scat fuel pump or change whole gas tank?
Was running it on the 5.7 tune causing issues? Looking at doing a 392 swap with 5.7 intake manifold ported. Just curious if the stock tune was lean? I know the stock 5.7 tune is conservative so it’s not an on the edge tune.
That’s good to hear. Would love to see a dyno chart and what the air fuel ratio was looking like on the stock tune since your the second person I’ve seen run it on the stock tune for months with out blowing the engine ect.
@@UNTAMEDTVhey you can get something called the “Z automotive” end it will tune your engine to whatever you want. They have a scat pack hellcat, and they even have the SRT screens. I put it in my dodge pursuit and I can do line lock and also launch, track mode all that and I can tell a huge difference when I put it in track mode and swap the ECU to hellcat

It can cause issues but it will run I drove mine for a couple months on the 5.7 tune until I found the right tuner

Active runners are in the 5.7 . Just heads up you can damage your engine by driving it on the 5.7 tune fuel isn’t set right
