- Griddle Clean is a game changing product for cleaning commercial kitchen cooking griddles, commonly called hot plates in NZ. If you, like many others, spend a tedious time each day either cleaning with harsh and potentially dangerous chemicals, or your elbows simply have no grease left in them with all the scrubbing you do cleaning your Griddle, then the wait is over.....
Southern Hospitality Ltd has worked with an experienced and well known New Zealand cleaning products manufacturer to formulate a product that's safer, and more user friendly than most used currently in NZ for griddle cleaning. Griddle Clean works on the radical concept of cleaning food.....with food!!
The product is food safe, meaning that once you have cleaned, there is no need to rinse off, saving time and money.
Griddle Clean by Southern Hospitality doesn't contain any harsh or dangerous chemicals, so no more chemical burns, noxious fumes, or eye watering vapours, so you can sell your space suit!
Griddle Clean is used at heat, so there's no need to wait for the griddle to cool down. Cleaning can also be done during service if required. Simply use the product straight from the bottle, no mixing or diluting, directly on the griddle and use a cleaning pad to agitate. Once its scrubbed in, use a blade to remove and voila!
Griddle Clean comes in convenient 1 litre and 5 litre packs. So, grab a 1 litre, and refill it from a 5 litre, easy, convenient and economical.....
I have 4 exams tomorrow, and i still have time to watch this.
*(Starts Cramming)*
i feel you
So how did it go?
I dont have a griddle. I dont own a restaurant. I dont even work at a restaurant. So why am I watching this with much satisfaction?
هلو
You recently used your frying pan didn't enjoy cleaning it at home and subliminally it brought you here.
because u are
Because may be you are foodie and you frequently going to restaurants and , now you are happy that you get even more hygienic food.
You can't afford professional therapy?
I was the grill operator at Wendy's and I can't believe you got that grill so clean that quickly. Really nice.
yet again my youtube journey has taken me from a search for "Things to do in Scotland" to this... 3 hours ago.
It's amazing, how everyone has their own way of cleaning the griddle. My way is super easy. Turn off the griddle, pour the chemical, spread with spatula, let it do its work for a few seconds. Pour water and scrape it into the grease trap, and clean griddle with a damp cloth. And you're done.
Why is this recommended to me
"Bet this guy would love watching somebody using this excellent new grill cleaning solution"
No ingredients listed in video description, no ingredients listed on the Southern Hospitality page for Griddle Clean. If it's so safe, why avoid saying what's in it?
this reminds me a lot of cleaning the grill at mcdonalds when i was younger
probably because it's the exact same thing.
Fucking McD's clam grills are a bitch to clean. When I changed jobs to other restaurant with a flat grill, not having to deal with the grease dripping down on to your hands is a whole lot better.
So that’s how spongebob clean up his grill
Hey I saw you in a comment section like a month ago. Go young one, learn the ways of ancient ninja master Justin Y.
Then, and only then shall your training be complete.
@ 1:00 is when you complete the 1 first level on sonic on the sega genesis
😂😂😂😂
Dead. XD
No. Just no.
If you have a flat grill like this and don't want to use (or spend money on) the cleaning products that are used for it but state that it's incredibly unhealthy to use them or breath them in. Use straight vinegar. I've never had an issue using it and it works just as well as any other cleaner. Just make sure it's plain vinegar. I made the mistake of using pickle juice (it was the only viniger like product we had) and didn't read the label all the way. The pickles were sweet instead of regular ones so the sugar that was added in, made the mess even worse and took even longer to clean.
I work on the kitchen for 11 years.i never used any thing then water with lemon juice and it cleans it better then that also put it on ur kitchen pans bring to to a boil and u get the same results..u'll remember me...half water half lemon juice ....
A brick, oil and some work are all you should use. Also, avoid scrubbing in circles and just go back and forth. This will help the natural non-stick properties of your flat top. Trust me, cooking eggs on a properly looked after top compared to one cleaned in this manner is night and day after a year or so.
He missed a lot on the backsplash
Dave Oconnor lol 😂
Hey
He missed a lot of spots !
If your going to do a demo, why not do the whole surface ?
he couldnt get the backsplash because the surface has to be hot. But yeah just keep pretending youre an expert at everything
ocd
get the grill brick and use oil on it and scrub the grill till it comes clean.
When i was a Cook on japanese restaurant, I used on white vinegar or lemon juice..effective and clean...
We always used just ice from the ice machine on the hot plate and then scraped it. Then used a normal cleaner. Never had any issues.
All you need is a grill brick, a little cooking oil, and a wet rag. Be amazed at what it can do without harsh chemicals that end up on someone's plate!
Wish it was this easy at my restaurant..sadly we're banned from using anything on our grills other than oil, the food we cook on them, and I believe pumice blocks.
Omg I wish I had that stuff when I worked in fast food!
I do not own or use a griddle such as this, but I now want one.... lol
I used to use vinegar, dish soap, and water. Just dump it on there n let it soak a little then scrap it off. Usually rinse it with some water afterwards too
Jesus Christ why am i watching this
Robbie Mullen I'm watching it because it showed up in my recommendeds.
1800shabye lmao wow this is a fresh comment i only came back here because of how satisfying this is evem after the 2nd watch
because you wondered: "what the fuck is a 'griddle' ?"
jesus christ isnt here to answer your question
use a wet rag to clean off the juice while the grill is cooling down itll give it a nice shine too.
Pure lemon juice dose the same thing to any HOT stainless cooking surfaces. Its as fast, just as easy.
This is better than those ice-cream roll videos.
I believe it's a glycerin mix of some sort that's because we use that at my job and it works pretty well but it leaves a nasty fumes smell that I don't like it I don't want on my food so I prefer not to use it and just use a grill screen and scrubber. Also you should be careful about throwing a lot of cool liquid onto the grill when it's hot it can literally crack right in half.
Kay Kay lol yeah exactly. Just need some elbow grease, and a grill scrub of some sort and some good oil. Can get it silver just with that. But in my experience I don't like to use the brick cause it crushes down and leaves a nasty smelling oil mixture.
I've always used vinegar or lemon juice. Lemon juice you need to cool the grill down first and wipe down thoroughly before you oil it but vinegar you can use hot
removing all the seasoning :(
don't waste your money use white vinegar and soo
+Antonino Sorrentino please explain further.
AllySmiles201 yup he is right..make hot the plate and just sprinkle the white vinegar i am using it daily and it clean it super.
The Capsule is that just for stainless steel or can it used on a mild steel home griddle ??? Thanks man appreciate it..
Full off shit!!
You mean it LOOKS clean not it is actually clean.
Can you purchase Grill Clean in Australia
What was in that solution?
the clear chemical being used with the pumice stone is most likely H 2 O that comes right out of the tap. After would be just be regular cooking oil to keep the grill lubricated.
sr71ablackbird lol yeah i worked at sonic and we just watered that bitch and scrubbed. You can crack the griddle like that but seems highly unlikely and a worn griddle
water and steel wool at a simmering temp worked for me for years
fryer grease works even better bc it keeps it clean yet well-lubed. but water gets everything off when hot
this is the exact same grill and cleaning method we used at the wendys i worked at. this grill was used to make grilled chicken sandwiches
What is he using on this? What kind of scrubber is he using also? Thanks
Its just potassium nitrate with soap. And a clean surface always stick. A seasoned cast iron skittle will always cook better then a clean one.
Looks like someone didn't use their 3M Quick Clean Griddle Kit
At that level of heat will that asbestos scrubber not melt..
Throw a load of ice on it, comes up spotless. That's what I used to do in my Mcdonalds days.
I use to have to do that when I worked at weinerschnitzle and I had to do it without gloves. And hot oil would always splash on my skin😔🥺 needless to say it was not fun at all.
What about the walls of the grill?
Why does it have to be hot though?
It’s vodka or gin in the bottle at the start of the clip?
Just heat the plate to highest possible and use mixture of water and vinegar.... it works just fine..
Use mixture of synthetic vinegar, baking soda and water. Use steel scrub
I've used a bucket of ice. Steams it quick and easy to clean. And it's plain water.
Sir or mam what's name in this liquid .ask pls
She was laughing because she didn't know he was serious because it wasn't clean. I use grease or water and a scrub and get it way cleaner
What did you use to clean the grill ??
What kind of cleaner and utensils did you use and where can I purchase them?
We use this st McDonald’s but it comes in different bottle and kinda yellow it cleans it just the same it’s called grill cleaner
It’s now safe to cook on is it?
This works even better than the 3M!
This is the work I need to do I need some tips please help
Is this available in the US?

Ostad jee kemat daso hotplate ki
No links to product?
So what's the ingredients?
Hell i use ice in my kitchen to clean the flat top. Works just as good from the looks of it. But then again i keep my flat top clean like cooks and chefs are supposed to do. Keep it clean and you dont need any special cleaners.
What was that chemical??
Wasnt this girl on one of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares show? she was one of the staff there on one of the restaurants...
How did this end up in my reccomended???
Thank you for not puting chemicals on the dam thang 😠 we all know its vinegar. Love yer southern hospitality dammit and that giggly chic
What the name your equipment to clean that
Liquid name pls
Y porque este vídeo no tiene la sigla de 3M, ... por hay un vídeo exactamente igual, en la página de ellos, que casualmente se saco en enero de este año... Mejores ideas amigo...
What is the product used to clean? 3m scotch brite?
Hi, that is a Trust Heavy Duty Griddle Pad - goo.gl/mfVWCG used with a Griddle Pad Holder - goo.gl/jr8kDk
Save money and use vinegar, if it’s really bad add some baking soda... the fizzing gets the really burnt on shit off
or you can just use some cheap white distilled vinegar
At first I thought you were putting cement on it XD
Nice 🙏🙏🙏🗡️👌🙏🙏
This has almost nothing to do with the liquid but rather the charcoal brick being used.
Worked at a bistro and every night the grill was cleaned with some oil poured onto the grill and a charcoal brick used to scrape off the grime.
It was terrible work and alot of the time boiling hot oil splashed your fingers/hands.
no chemicals or bullshit needed
اخي الكريم فيه احد يفهمني كيف نظف وماهي المادة التي نظف بيها
What is the chemical name? Is it D9 or what?
just squeeze a lime on it after it's cooled just a bit, citric acid eats the gunk right off. little scrub, little rinse, you're done.
i do the same thing, but with ammonia.
try it.
Did you spray holy water on it?
U can do the same thing using some vinigar
Name of this acid pls
Liquid name name pls
The scraping sound sounds like a Monster Screaming
white vinegar works great, simple
Don't let them for ya. Vinegar works just fine!
How do I get this cleaning system in the States?
Adam Kulikowski white vinegar is best cleaner. hot the plate and spray the vinegar then see the magic...
What is the solution he uses to clean it with? I need that shit!!
Wait a minute... this is an ad!
Put your brillo under the scraping tool and give that some muscle you ninny.
I have to use straight brick with no handle and oil from the fryer. And I do a better job.
Get white vinagar on it
Wonderful
So that's how chocolate sauce is made.
I would try something called Blast Away. It's really aggressive on a flat top and your skin as well. All you need is the Blast Away, some water, a steel wool scrubber, and a scraper (however that word is spelled). Trust me on when I say it's aggressive, I'm a dishwasher at a restaurant near me and it was the end of the day and I was closing. The cook that was there was cleaning the flat top with the Blast Away and he scraped the flat top off and poured the Blast Away and dirt down the drain of the sink I was using. The Blast Away wasn't draining so I made the decision to get whatever was blocking the drain with my bare hands and it just chewed up my hand I put in it. I still have all of my skin and everything but my hand hurt like hell for about two days. In shorter words, I would suggest trying Blast Away for cleaning your flat top.
Devon Walter you're stupid, that sounds toxic as fuck to use anywhere remotely close to a cooking environment.
100% Vegetable Glycerin & Vinegar?
什么水来的
vinegar works better. still gotta clean it after chem or next use will be full of freebase chems lol
When is Ludacris coming out?
sorry but scotchbrite is better. that amount of liquid was evaporated quickly and scotchbrite uses half that amount with little evaporation cause its more of a thicker soap base and does the job just as good
Oddly satisfying
all you need is a scrubby pad and water....boil it clean like castiron zero need for chemical cleaners
What oil was it?!?!!!!
Lily Rose snake oil
