  • Including drone footage! One of my favourite walks on the Isle of Arran, Glenashdale Falls and the Giants Graves. The falls themselves is a straightforward walk up and back down but to extend it by an extra mile or so, follow the signs to the Giants Graves which turns the walk into a circuit so you don't have to come back the way you went up. Stunning views over the Firth of Clyde await and only a short distance to get to them. Alternatively, from the Falls, come back down the opposite site of the gorge and there are other waterfalls and an Iron Age fort. A few different ways to come back to the start makes this a versatile and really interesting walk. Doesn't tend to be too muddy, a lot is on very good paths or forestry roads and I'd describe it as moderately hard as there is a couple of short but steep sections. The falls are particularly stunning after heavy rainfall and there is viewing platform. Drone footage of the graves and falls taken with a DJI Mini 4 pro. March 2024.
