So....I shouldn't have even watched this bc my stylist is a goddess and I trust her completely, but I fell down this rabbit hole and here I am. She recomends when I go darker or especially if I add red to wash with cold water and 100% SHE IS RIGHT. I've heard you can get the same results and only use cold water the first few washes, but my color that looks exactly the same 5 months later says otherwise. If she used relights, could I wash my hair with hot water and get the same results?

Joy my recommendation is to flow what your stylist says she knows your hair best. Relights is amazing and would give you a nice finish to your color, but still always wash with cool water. And now Wella has Shinefinity glaze which is perfect for a color refresh.
      Hope this answers your question.

I hate that the video edits out some of the anecdotes. That’s how you remember some of this stuff. Ex. Color touch plus section.

So glad you asked! It's been a while since those were made and after I talked with our color team about the points you brought up we decided to create new and updated versions. There have been many changes in the Wella lines. All new videos in the works! Thanks again so much for the comments and feedback! Super helpful for us as I want the videos to be useful for not only our team but anyone else who may find them useful. The better all stylists are everywhere the better the whole industry will be.❤️

I'm 9 :22 in and I'm out. Unless you and your client don't mind coloring their hair twice always use / _ _ that is what covers grey. Period. She says when coloring hair to start in the back because the front has fine baby hairs. 90% of color clients are coloring their hair because they want to cover the grey. Where do we start showing grey first? The front. Grey hair takes longer to process. Start in the front. Now if your bleaching the hair yes start in back . The hair is the back of our heads is darker and takes longer to lift and yes be cautious with those baby hairs at the front of our hair line they are fragile and susceptible to being over processed Does Wella know how she's teaching their color line?

Thanks for taking the time to comment and for the feedback. She is a Wella educator and this video was made over 5 years ago earlier in her tenure. This is just a basics in theory. The beauty of the industry is many different methods by many different masters . Rising stars get to create their own from the many leaders they follow. Super cool that took the time to add in your feedback. Much appreciated. ❤️

I color myself with my own box colour I always start front as the greys creep through always first , so disagree with starting at back . Very good advice overall . I colour every 6 weeks I have fine hair , and always mix my colours at home , have a hairdressing supply store where I get all my colours. I am a strawberry blond . Thank you for your great class. ❤ my fine hair colours easily.

So sorry you felt that way about the video. Perhaps it is how some things occurred in a video format. I am the owner of the business and have worked with her for more than 20 years. She is one of the kindest, genuine and most committed people i know. Her mission has always been to elevate the level of success and professionalism in the industry. She is a true giver and works so hard to deliver a great customer and student experience. This video is one of her first forays into video training and was recorded 5 years ago. She has grown and developed so much since then. You will see in our video series to be released soon. thanks for taking time to share your feedback. All the best to you! If we can help you in any way please let us know! Robert

She wasn’t rude but she has to teach and wanted each color line to be in order, when she was in the permanent category of color, some stylist were asking questions about the semi colors which is very confusing, so her job is to correct them when she has too so the rest of the class can keep up and not be at the mercy of two or three people dominating the class asking questions ahead of her agenda, it interrupts her train of thought and makes her have to go over again some material

@@princessmajesty8676 apparently I commented 7 months ago. I don’t remember the specifics of why I felt the why I felt the way I did at that time. I guess I was super wrong as I’m the only one.
