- I still can't believe it, but the Thrift Gods looked favorably on me in 2022 (the third year of the Great Goodwill Famine) and they said "Here are some cool video games, Collector John." Prayer is real!! Never give up hope!!!

I like that you actually play your pickups for your audience. Nice finds!
Thanks! I'm not sure if that many viewers are interested in that part of the video but I like it, so I'm gonna keep doing it haha
@@collectorjohn9538 I quite enjoy it. Let's you get a good idea what kind of game you got.
This dude is quickly becoming my favourite UA-camr. Please keep these videos coming!
I'm editing one right now that I feel rly good about so keep your eyes peeled!
For someone who’s made 6 videos total, you do really well in front of the camera. I could definitely see you making it if you keep up the great work. Good luck on continuing to grow man🤙🤙
Thank you so much dude, the encouragement from viewers genuinely means a lot to me!
Some time ago my local Goodwill was a perpetual gold mine for games, but it's been years since anything has been there. Thankfully my wife's family up near Jackson MI happen to have one that does. Not to mention Disc Replays.
One thing I like is that you keep them instead of just trying to turn a profit. I myself only buy ones i find that I want for my collection, and I'm a lot more picky these days. Great content thanks for sharing for adventures
I also would have stopped filming in excitement - I never see PS2 games that aren't NASCAR or movie tie-ins at Goodwill. Awesome finds! Spyhunter still rocks.
Right?? Three years ago I wouldn't have even cared (well, I probably still would have been a bit excited about Champions and Strikers 1945) but the pickings are so slim now that seeing any halfway decent game gets me super amped. Idk what it is about finding games at thrift stores, even if they're not worth much it's always such a rush haha
Very cool to have a short gameplay with your pick up most UA-camrs just show the games and resale value.
Collector John, you found some amazing games... Keep inspiring my friend!
What a great find with Champions. Thank you to that person who donated all their pristine games
I am very thankful for whoever did that lol
I found fallout New Vegas CIB with poster and GTA 4 CIB with poster at the salvation Army...I couldn't believe it ... Both copies gave me the impression they were never played before...awesome hunt btw!
Found your channel recently, super cool to see another MKE area collector! I used to frequent that goodwill when I lived on Locust and Downer while going to UWM from 2015-2017. Definitely one of the better ones in the SE Wisconsin area in my opinion, although it’s been a while since I’ve been there. Nice to see good finds still pop up there!
Thanks for watching! This Goodwill has gone downhill quite a bit since I filmed this video lol. I still go hunting there but haven't found anything in months
Found your channel recently and I've been enjoying your videos! This video in particular, I like how you played some of the games you found. Giving your impressions on them was great to see, and it gave the video more substance.
Looking forward to more videos!
Huge fan of the playing pickups at the end, great content man!
I always wonder or assume that these sorts of games end up at Goodwill after someone passes away and their family just are getting rid of stuff they really do not know much about. Either way.. great finds.
I feel like this also happens with library donations. I found a whole lot of amazing cds once there, including an autographed by the whole band Smashing Pumpkins cd
I’m really surprised you don’t have more subscribers yet you deserve lots more!
Sick pickups, dude. Always a great feeling finding decent games at the thrifties
Nice finds. Reminds me of the time I found a bunch of good Wii games. Heart was racing lol
Just you wait. All those games will be behind glass someday soon and will be priced individually around price charting prices.
That version of asteroids is actually really cool I'd give it a try!
Yeah, whenever I find pristine CIB games at thrift stores I also can’t help but wonder about their backstories lol
Good stuff man looking for the next
Forsaken was a nice find. I’ve always tried to hunt for ps1 in the cd section and never had any luck.
Great finds and video! Look forward to watching more ☺️
Found your channel last evening and have been enjoying the content. Keep up the great work!
$3-4 a game - you take that risk all day every day. Nice one John!
Love the goodwill thrifting videos!! Keep it up man!
Your channel was recommended to me and I gotta say, nice finds but how did you find a goodwill that still puts out games? Haven’t seen any games in a goodwill since the end of 2021.
This Goodwill is on the east side of Milwaukee, right next to the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee campus. I still find games there every so often and once in a while I get super lucky. I even found a copy of Windwaker there last year. I guess it's just college kids giving away their stuff when they move or something, idk
The Goodwills near me put anything of value on their online store.
I appreciate you playing the games you snagged. I missed out on a ton of games and been on a collecting spree myself so when you play the games it gives me a better idea of what games to look out for next time I am browsing. Spyhunter I remember playing as a kid. Loved the destruction and the soundtrack personally. Keep up the great content.
Glad you liked the vid, thanks for the kind words!
Nice find on the ps1 games!!!
Dude i like your videos so much, i am collector too, great content, keep going! 😊
Ever Grace top 10 on PS2 in my mind! Try extermination, kinetics and speed kings for some random fun games I liked a lot.
Cool video
Love the reviews dude lol
I swear that at any Goodwill I've shopped at I've found that stupid Wallflowers album in the CD section @ 8:30
I got so sick of hearing the PS2 startup sound 500 times a day when I worked on PS2 at Sony I still get PTSD 20 years later whenever I hear it.
I liked u handling the disk's
I use to give media to Goodwill. Then I discovered resellers and vowed never to give them anything of value again. Rather throw it out, truth be told.
Jealous @ Jak and daxter lol
Godai looks like a game I'd see speedran at GDQx
Absolutely
subbed
I always skipped over Evergrace because the cover looked so generic! Might have to give it a try!
Yeah the cover sucks but it is a pretty awesome game! The soundtrack seriously sounds like nothing else. The composer didn't know how to read music or know any music theory and a lot of the instrumentation is just him using his voice -- it sounds extremely uncanny and eerily beautiful. I honestly can't believe a launch title for the PS2 contains that music because it is so strange
Love hearing those odd bits of info about a game! Often the people that know nothing of the industry are also the ones that are not held back by any informal constraints! Thanks for the tip! I`ll be on the hunt for Evergrace!
I looked up forsaken in the UK and I'm not sure if it's the same game coz the artwork is different🤔
Somebodies wife gave it to goodwill 😂
RIP That wife's husband LOL
Choo choo mother*;+?!!! 😅😅
Great videos, keep them coming
What city is that?
Milwaukee
I would've passed on every game you bought. But I don't collect them just to fill shelf space as you do. No surprises at goodwill.
I didn’t know to look for the NTSC logo on the side of ps1 games. Thanks!
You’re on Oakland ave. Bro I live in river west. You’re now my rival. Guess what I found at that goodwill? A Nintendo ds lite for 20 bucks
Damn king 🙏
@@collectorjohn9538 let’s get a beer at updown? or comet cafe. They opened back up. Haha
