The Goodwills around here never put that stuff out in the store, they sell it on Ebay. Most thrift stores do this now, the product and the money they get doesn't go back into the community. It's become a Racket.
Goodwill has their own ebay style website that they do that on. Haven't looked on there in years, seems like all of the auctions have bid bots on them. -_-;
The fact that you found JSRF at a Goodwill and didn't buy it to flip, is the reason I like this channel. Other game pickup UA-camrs are all about value and reselling and I just can't relate to that content. Keep doing what you do, Collector John!
Cracks me up when people get stuff at Goodwill. Goodwills in my area have torn, stained furniture, single dishes, questionable old looking kitchen appliances and gadgets, old women’s clothes, worn out shoes, dirty baby toys. You get the picture.
Goodwills around here are the same with all that junk (not the gucci prices). That, and I know the one in the town north of here has had a lot of people in there looking for shit to flip all of the time.
This gu is from Milwaukee majorish cities have nice stuff. My city is almost 300k but poor af. Goodwill thrift only got dvd VHS clothes ect lol I'd go crazy to find last three gens stuff
That green CRT in the background was enough for me to like and sub! I don't collect or resale myself (but love video games) but I can watch this kind of stuff daily!
Really fun video! It's the first of yours that's I've seen. It's super kind of you to leave games you already have for other people to find rather than just buying them to flip. Love the continuity break halfway through. Subscribed and looking forward to more like this!
love a 30 min collector john vid, especially the goodwill vids! reminds me of better thrifting days in my area, hasn't been this good in a long time. Glad to see some ppl still getting lucky! Keep the good vids comin :) Getting further in the vid, love the Ever Grace shout out!! goated game...
Nothing like folding laundry and watching a new collector John video 🤘 Some extremely nice goodwill pickups here man. Don’t want to jinx it but I’ve been having some good luck thrifting of late myself 🤞
I was hoping for another Collector John video soon! Great hauls! The Switch deck and Guitar Hero gear was a phenomenal pickup. I had guessed it was a video game peripheral, so I'll be collecting my 1/2 drank Baja Blast.
Borderlands is still my favorite in the series. Love the loot system and general vibe of the game. You'll probably enjoy the remaster, higher FPS, resolution, and the addition of the mini map are all great things. They added 6 new guns that you can also get out of the golden chest, and for the most part they are decent adds. I try to play the game once per year, and since 2019, it's been the remastered one. Mudrunner was super fun, Snowrunner I liked a lot more, if you can find that cheap. Expeditions came out recently, but I'll wait for a sale. That last Goodwill was quite stacked, it's been a while since I've been to one with that many games. Great finds there!
PLEASE don’t stop making videos man I fucking love watching your content and I really never found myself interested in retro game content but I definitely just bought an original Xbox and found you so I’d say that’s going to change lmao
Amazing haul man!!! I've been to that first goodwill a couple of times but I never seem to get anything good while I'm there. Keep up the great videos man maybe one of these days I'll bump into while out game hunting!
Sick pickups! Was at Goodwill yesterday and saw a GameCube case of Simpson Hit and Run. My heart dropped until I opened it and saw that it was the sims game actually in there. Still picked it up for $4. Not bad for a case and manual of GameCube hit and run plus a super scratched sims game lol.
So jealous of the rest of you guys and goodwill finds. In NC we have a store called the GRID and i was told all games in NC gets shipped there to sell at normal pricing.
Awesome pickups! I would have gone crazy if I found games priced at 3$ each! I think it's the perfect price to try on games that you wouldn't regularly pickup at regular prices. And if you don't like it, you can pay it forward like give them to some of your friends or give it back to Goodwill. Thrift stores in Montreal are really bad. They price games really high like sports games at 10$ each which is why they never move! You should definitely play Dragon Age Inquisition as it's a really good game (don't let the internet haters convince you otherwise). Witcher 3 is a must play as it's so good and one of the only modern games to crack my top 10 favorite games of all time! I like the haircut! But now you'll have to change your thumbnail lol! Great video and keep up the good work!
Collector John shares some awesome video game finds in this laid-back, easygoing video. Get ready to reminisce on the past, ponder the future, all while being anchored in the present - discussing current market video game prices, and the current state of video games in general, with a sprinkle of mystery - “where did he get these amazing deals?!” This piping hot Collecter John video is sure to satiate the thirst of even the most die-hard video came connoisseurs. Enjoy!
That Barnyard game on the Wii from the second goodwill surprisingly has some value. Epic Mickey and Indianapolis 500 would have been solid pickups as well. Great video!
Great video, thanks. Goodwill near me sends all the games to a central location to be sold online, boo!!! I haven’t been hitting up pawn shops as much, but some finds at flea market and indie game shops recently. Found House of the Dead remake on Switch and bought all the Just Causes on various Xbox systems on the cheap. Also just got the last Splinter Cell I was missing. Hope you have avoided losing all your super powers ala Sampson since the haircut.
Jesus. In the last year, at charity shops here in the UK, I have found 1x FIFA 20 on Xbox One, 1x Homefront Revolution on PS4, and 3 PS3 games that were £10 EACH worth around £3 each. You guys have it so much better
Nice pickups man. Excitetruck, Battleship are really fun. Your not the only one collecting for Xbox one and 360....huge collector of both. Duck Dynasty game I bought on release and is really fun. Closing in on over a 1000 360 games and 400 Xbox one games.
Nice find with that Toshiba clock radio! Thing looks great! 👌🏻 Excellent copy of True Crime: Streets of LA too. You got some great thrift stores near you!
You are definitely not the only one collecting Xbox 1 lol. I did the same thing, I bought a Series X and then went looking for $5 or less games and found tons. Never owned a 1, but with the backwards compatibility you can play so many games for cheap
Hell yea brother! That guitar controller though. Man I remember when we couldn't GIVE those things away at the game store I worked at. Now look! I'm glad I held on to a couple. Also your hair looks nice man I just hope it doesn't change you from a dork into a nerd. Never forget your hippie hair roots!
Whay I always loved is how different and soecial the cases are in Europe where I'm based Dreamcast , PSX (PlayStation) , Sega Saturn its just bigger and nicer
I got a Series X back in January. Ive been actively collecting all the FPS boosted games! It gets a lot of hate, but I love my Series X. I can go from playing Jade Empire to Gang Beast in seconds and it makes me happy.
Really surprised by how much I liked that Battleship game. Get a series X - the backwards compatible games like Dead to Rights LOOK SO CLEAN - it’s crazy!
Hot tip if you're unaware: Quake 4 on 360 came with a second disc that included a HD Remaster of Quake 2. It's a bit unnecessary now as it's been remastered again for modern consoles and PC recently but pretty cool bit of history, it's one of the first HD remasters. So yeah, look for copies with the art AND that second disc if you care about that sort of thing!
Excite Truck is fun! It was a launch window title and we had a lot of fun with it on multiplayer. I just picked up an Xbox One for $60 a couple months ago and I'm really enjoying it. Controller is amazing and I love Game Pass. Playing a lot of Star Wars Battlefront. That's funny, I recently found that exact X-plorer controller for $4 at my local thrift store mixed in with the toys. Have you ever tried Clone Hero? We've had alot fun with that app using that controller on Windows. Great pickups, congrats! Great Goodwill prices also; my Goodwill has video games at $5.99 so I don't pick up much there anymore.
I did the same with the Xbox One games 😁 They are dirt cheap here (I live in Denmark). I don't own an Xbox One yet, but I do plan on getting one . So like you, I thought "Why not" and bought a handful of very cheap Xbox One games.
Bro I am so jealous of those Ratchet and Clank finds, those are HUGE! I found the same Guitar Hero 360 controller for a great price and use it to play Clone Hero all the time on pc
Damn nice haul I used to collect now not so much around my area things have been getting so overpriced to the point it's not worth just leaving to get a game that's priced twice as much as it used to be
Nice pick ups. It's crazy that the guitar hero peripherals can be that much considering how many were made. You'll want to shine a blacklight at the front of the box of the anniversary xbox controller in the dark for a fun surprise easter egg. Most people are unaware of what's there. I wish Microsoft, Nintendo, and Xbox would bring back the transparent console aesthetic.
Excite Trucks is actually super awesome! nice one! Im also "collecting" for the xbox one :P exactly for the same reason, my xbox and xbox360 games play awesome on it!
Love seeing Evergrace get some love! PS2 had the best launch lineup in video game history in my opinion. I also live in Milwaukee and have some other great stores for you to check out if you ever need some more ideas.
