Granite Marble is processed from Raw Mountain stones. That is why quarries excavate stones. The Marble is the finished product after stone are cut and polished into a highly refined marble slab.

What a totally Heath Robinson outfit. The whole place is a complete sh*t hole. Zero safety measures in place, the UK Heath & Safety Executive would have a proper fit if the rocked up in a plant like this. However given everything I’ve just said, the beautiful pieces that are produced here are unbelievable. i’d bet close to 25-30ton the suspension or what was left of it must be close to having a hernia with all that on its back…fair play to them for getting it home
Where is the incredible technology ? The equipment I see here is the same as everybody else uses all over the world. All I can see is that everyone is wearing tha latest safety equipment. Steel toed flip flops, safety turbans, and lots of heavy duty cotton safety wear. Change your title to, how the the third world does it.
Extremely labor intensive with little to no safety for the workers; one gets injured, just replace with another. Additionally if the workers live long enough, lung problem will be a big issue.

A completely unsecured quarry wall, full of loose boulders. There is a reason why we use explosives. You can be a safe distance away when you press the button and all the rocks are coming down. A worker's life must be cheap there.

Marble weighs in at 2711-kg per cubic metre. I think the 989kg comment has a decimal wrong/missing,
9890kg would be nearer the mark.
The biggest rock was 11 tons. altogether, I think it was over 30 tons!
I guess they have never heard of 'WEIGHT LIMITS'
