Iv always loved the way & the freedom thai people do what ever they want to everything with no limits & still use them for daily drivers / ambulances etc. Love it.
@ I looked into it. It’s expensive. They are available in Mexico and, I believe, in Canada. If one is 20 years old, it makes it easier but it is still a pain.
The orange sticker on the yellow van at 00:09 say "Student Commuter". I swear they drive like this on normal roads too. Public transport driving license in my coutry is a joke! 🥵
There holding the van to keep it from rolling through the beams sense most of these vans are manual transmission they would usually start rolling through the beams especially if there preloading the clutch a little bit. It's not for traction lol
I would freaking love it to bring my nine second drive bike to Thailand. It probably run 8 seconds with a small rider. Absolutely awesome love the stuff keep it up
I love BKK Drag Avenue and how you can literally be right there on the Strip, walk up to a driver, and ask, "Can I get in ?" I can't wait to take another motorbike taxi there again 🤪 (thanks for the ride back to BKK, Chad 🙏)
They are pushing down on launch help with the initial bite of the tire until the van transfer weight back and during the burnout the just keep it from going sideways while heating up the tires
Lol it's to keep them from rolling through the start beams sense these vans are manual transmission vans they tend to want to to roll through the beams. There not doing anything besides keeping it from rolling while the clutch is pushed.
are those girls writing here some AI?well there can be cargirls too i guess😊those vans rule anyway!i was in thailand in july and August and saw a lot of cars but no racing...good vid as usual
@CB Media Hello dude. I've emailed the address you gave for the long tail boat ride a few days ago but no response. We're looking to book for early December. Thanks bro
Somebody needs to tell those guys that their exhaust systems are WAY TOO SMALL. They may be using small engines and turbos, but they apparently don't know what back pressure is, and turbos hate back pressure. Those exhaust pipes are insanely small. I guarantee that they would be faster with at least a little bigger exhaust.
The fastest van out there had 2.5 inch exhaust at most. They're making way too much boost for a single tiny exhaust to actually handle that. They must have incredible amounts of back pressure, which is extremely detrimental to turbo performance.
If they are the usual small compact Diesels they always tune to heck the flowrate isn't all that crazy. Besides you do realise how much backpressure comes from the turbine, even if the exhaust is limiting it won't be a significant percentage, after all we're talking high-boost Diesels here so the drive pressure is ridiculous either way... Not to mention they aren't tuned very dirty and the huge particulate amount we see in sh*tty-tune Diesels probably greatly increase the density etc. I'm not saying they won't benefit from free-er exhausts but they aren't choking 100hp or anything silly like that. And lastly, these are utility vehicles, there may be size and / or noise restrictions ON THE ROAD. Calling them uneducated when I guarantee they achieve more than you ever did is ignorant bud.
@@bo-dine7971 Uneducated? I never said that. I daily drive a 1990 GMC Sierra with a 98/88 turbo on a built 5.3, so keep your insults to yourself, dick.
@@bo-dine7971 I'm a 25 year master mechanic, and I know EXACTLY what it takes to make power. Those tiny exhaust pipes are 100% a restriction, even though they are small diesels. 12 second 1/4 miles require probably 500-600lb ft of torque to achieve with those heavy vans. A 2 inch exhaust is 100% a restriction and they could definitely be making more power with larger pipes. It's also fairly easy to replace their daily driving exhaust with something larger for racing, but they simply don't do it for whatever reason. They most certainly do not have noise restrictions at the race track. The stereo systems are louder than the vehicles. Stop assuming that you know more than other people. I race, I'm guessing that you don't. Watching videos doesn't make you an expert.
@SuperFGeeT true, but responding to Chad when he asked what it would cost in the USA. My estimate is on the entry level side as material cost has skyrocketed here.
Somebody needs to introduce these racers to Nitrous Oxide. If these guys ever got behind the wheel of an American Drag car, they would crap their pants. I've been a car buff for all of my life and this video is crazy.
I saw Only the American staffs from the NHRDA World final event that already crap their pants about 11 years ago and invited them Thai to show their Thai diesel trucks at the World Final Event since 2013 and also at that time they Thai went there to broke the World record of the fastest 4 cylinders trucks in the world. For NOS there are a lot of rules and classes here my friend and if you saw the old videos from CB Media you'll know that here in Thailand we used NOS even for daily driver cars and trucks and a lot of them Thai fruits transportation trucks they even have 2 of them, no need to got behind the wheel of an American drag car my friend☺ Also the Thai truck that went to showed in the World Final event 2013 they also used NOS at that time my friend.

I never see ambulance van just enter the drag strip in this video
Thailand ambulance are modified to be the fastest
Toyota HIACE Quantum, jokingly the fastest car in south Africa since we use them for taxi😂
Dumb question but...are those ambulances still used to haul sick and dying people?
Yes
Seriously yes
Yes yes yes.

What sort of fueling upgrades and ecu set ups do those big turbo dmax use
That ambo is sick
Shocked you've not gotten one for yourself 😁
What’s the purpose of holding those vans before they take off?
Chad. Flying home Monday, are there any car shows/meets/events worth checking out tonight or tomorrow?
They are pushing down on launch help with the initial bite of the tire until the van transfer weight back and during the burnout the just keep it from going sideways while heating up the tires
I wonder how street legal these vans would be in the UK?
They're absolutely epic!
Ok 12.6 out of a cargo van is legitimately pretty impressive.
Wher do i find info about riding a river boat with you?
What did you pull up in to this event
No spectators? What happens when the turbos ingest bird strikes???
Long burnouts compensate the lack of prep..Which is way cooler for the spectator..😁
Great!
Looks like they're holding down the back of the van for traction
Lol it's to keep them from rolling through the start beams sense these vans are manual transmission vans they tend to want to to roll through the beams. There not doing anything besides keeping it from rolling while the clutch is pushed.
