Stammer didn’t want to take a team friendly deal. Is he really worth 8 million for 4 years?
Sergachev was injured all year and honestly I still think McDonough is the better Dman rn. Sergachev was gone so much last year it’s not worth mentioning him. Lightning basically went from Dumba(ss) and Lilleberg to McDonough and Moser. Significant upgrade. Guentzel has a better PPG than Stamkos. Keep in mind, Stamkos played with the Art Ross winner and MVP runner up. Guentzel is better defensively and can play 5V5. He’s also younger. All Tampa needs now is a 2nd line winger, which they didn’t even have last year until acquiring Duclair. Obviously have to see them on the ice next year, but on paper this Lightning team would slaughter last year’s team.

I feel like Leafs could be considered solid with the OEL and Stolarz signing but that's just me.
Good list, i would put NJ to winners tho and Washington to solid. They did win Chuchrun trade and Roy was good sign too, but i do like Pesce, Dillon and Noesens sings more. Thank you!
Don’t forget a healthy Hamilton who missed the entire season and now the devils look more better to handle the top teams in the east.
This doesn’t drop Tampa. They still have a very elite power play they still have their core. It’s not on the GM it’s business. There’s a reason why top players don’t stay with the team forever. It’s the salary cap. Same thing that can happen with Matthew’s when his contract expires. He might want to stay but no GM puts players first, they put the team first.
Tampa.didnt want to pay Stamkos price tag and Stamkos didn’t want to play for Tampas paycheck. Pretty simple. Last time Stamkos wouldn’t sign until after he tested free agency. Were you crying about that too? Each time the player and team were well within their rights.
