Featuring Maria Aleida (Soprano). Conducted by Carmine Aufiero.
On December 8th, 2010 Metropolitan Opera star Marcello Giordani hosted a fundraising gala and concert with the Marcello Giordani Foundation, a not for profit organization dedicated to assist and support promising young opera singers. The foundation, founded by Mr. Giordani, was created to encourage and enable young talented singers from around the world to pursue and achieve their career goals and transition onto the professional opera stage. The concert and dinner took place on December 8th, 2010, at the Church of Saint Jean Baptiste, Lexington Avenue at 76th Street.
Under the guidance of Marcello Giordani, the Foundation establishes, organizes and sponsors master classes, seminars, and summer programs in the U.S. and abroad, as well as provides encouragement, training opportunities, career assistance and financial support, including scholarships and awards to promising and talented young singers. Many of them will be the great singers of tomorrow, and it is with them that the future of opera resides. It is the goal of the Foundation to contribute actively to their success.
The proceeds of the event will be devolved to the organization of the first Marcello Giordani International Vocal Competition sponsored by the MGF, to be held in Italy the Spring of 2011.

haha menos nada, Maria Callas, foi famosa, mas era das cantoras com pequeno alcance vocal, tanto que não tem nenhuma ária dela extremamente aguda, perdeu a voz lá na juventude e depois a maioria do repertório era sem agudos.
Rafael Pádua verdade, mas Callas era diferente das demais pois tinha um grande poder de atuação. Callas se preocupava em transmitir as histórias que as músicas contavam.

Desde quando a qualidade da voz de um cantor lírico é definida pela extensão vocal deste?
Segundo o volume 2 da enciclopédia "A história da música clássica" desde a transição para o romantismo, a extensão vocal perdeu a sua importância, visto que nos períodos anteriores (clássico, barroco) havia um enorme interesse na extensão vocal, porém não dizia nada.
Callas, mesmo que não agrade a todos, é, sem dúvida, uma cantora de alto nível e conseguiu fornecer o repertório suficiente para a sua carreira, uma vez que no mundo "operático", dificilmente um cantor possui uma fama que se extende por mais de alguns anos e depois já não atende muito a ópera, por questões biológicas mesmo.
O declínio da voz de Callas é um assunto intrigante que, segundo pesquisas, não se deveu exclusivamente ao "mau uso da voz", porém acompanha fatores psicológicos, físicos e patológicos (como é provado que Callas sofreu de Dermatiositis - ou algo assim).
Mais uma vez, associar um cantor lírico com a sua extensão vocal é, no mínimo, ridículo.

Bravissima Maria Aleida Rodriguez, una voce stellare! L'unico appunto, su cui non concordo, è che fa troppe fioriture...seppure capisco bene che questo rispecchia il gusto americano. Anche Anna Moffo, rispetto alle variazioni della Serra o a quelle di Lucia Popp, fa molti virtuosismi, però senza esagerare. Invece questa versione di Maria Aleida Rodriguez, seppure dimostri una voce stratosferica e tecnicamente perfetta, per via delle colorature sin dall'inizio risulta un po' stucchevole. Ad ogni modo, a parte questo dettaglio, bravissima Maria Aleida Rodriguez!!!

Não faz sentido pois o timbre dela é totalmente diferente das outras. Anita e Paula nunca seriam capazes de atingir este tipo de tom.
