What a lovely video. I once watched a documentary about the volunteers who worked so hard to preserve this little gem of history. What a charming trip. I love all these little stations and the vibes of an ancient train trip. I was born in a village (in Poland) where there was a train line from our village to the nearest town, just twice a week and my mother used to take us to go shopping for clothes, toys, etc. Then it was like a big adventure. I remember to smell the air or put an ear to the rail to find out if the train was approaching. And suddenly there was this all noise it made when leaving from the forest. It was the present Kampinos National Park. The route still exists but as a tourist attraction.

Absolutely magical ..Superb filming you guy's never disappoint .. You've done Yorkshire proud ..My mum's brother's Teddy Rooke Ken Rooke,,Don Rooke ..Aunty Joan(Don's wife) and my cousin Mick Rooke their son all worked for the railway's ..I was very envious of my uncle Don living at several pretty railway cottage's over the course of his career being a rail clerk one of the job's perk's ..
Wow a real railway family, funny how in the past families followed the same careers. Not something you hear of much these days.glad you enjoyed the trip with us.
Was there on Sunday, not been for a few years,so it was nice to revisit, was a cold day,so the coal fire in the waiting room at Oakworth was most welcome, will have to go back again in the warmer weather, getting soft in my old age.
Hugely interesting and it bought back many memories of my watching the TV series of "The Railway Children." I have the book as well. Delightful and very sweet story.

You cannot beat an old steam train where it is. I don’t think the railway children made it out of the U.K. which is a shame, a classic British film that is kind of timeless.
So delightful watching this, the history and seeing the way the volunteers keep up the buildings and trains is wonderful, brought back so many memories of this area for me. Thank you 💕🇦🇺
That was delightful! I enjoyed every second of it? Lovely surprise, seeing Haworth on this line. I and can't wait for the upcoming ones in this literary series. Thank you so much! Now I have to watch the film again.

Loved it! You guys did a great job again on this video. Fantastic for non train fans and train fans like myself ❤ A great way to spend the morning here in California. We don’t have Beautiful countryside out here like you do. Just a gorgeous day to spend on a train 🚂 ❤. Thanks again for sharing. You guys take care Sir. 👍👍
I like the little German 4-wheeled Diesel railbus that they sometimes use for the first trains of the day. Interesting that the branch survived for several years after the closure, in 1955, of the branch from which it diverged, and that therefore the short section of line from Keighley station to she site of the branch Junction is in fact a small surviving part of the main line. I grow station on the branch used to be Ingrow West, and Ingrow East on the main line was a short distance away. Shortly before reaching Ingrow from the North it is still possible to see the remains of a bridge abutment which carried the main line.
The train's chuffing slowly as it gets underway reminds me of a bear huffing, or a great beast straining to carry a load. I liked seeing the countryside go by as the train was at traveling speed. I just love old steam trains!
I really loved this fantastic video! It has all what I enjoy so much! England is one of the countries that I visited many years ago and loved!!!👏👏👏👍👩🏻🇧🇷🇬🇧

Awesome show! I love that film and I have the book as well, mine is combined with Swallows and Amazons. Thanks again 😍
Ah Swallow and Amazon’s another childhood classic!
Thank you another lovely trip.
Your videos are delightful. I look forward to all of them.
So kind thank you for watching 😊
Superbly filmed and narrated.
Thank you so much!
I am sure it was cosy and warm in the waiting room. What a nice surprise to have it lit.
Just wonderful I could almost feel the breeze and smell the charcoal from the Train
Another brilliant video. Well done! Now if I can only find where I can watch the film my day will be complete.
I think at the moment you can get it for rent on Apple movies.
@@MemorySeekers Thanks for the tip, I'll chase that up.
Hugely interesting and it bought back many memories of my watching the TV series of "The Railway Children." I have the book as well. Delightful and very sweet story.
It was so nice to see the place for real, it looks just the same as the movie! It was great fun.
It was so interesting. On our visit to England in 2013, we visited Haworth. I liked seeing the village again.
We have a more in depth tour of the Haworth coming in a few weeks so you can see more of the streets then.😊
@@MemorySeekers I'll be waiting 😊
Love this!
Thank you!
beautifully produced video - one of the best on youtube - and you didnt talk over the sound of the steam train battling uphill out of keighly - thankyou !
Beautiful video of a classic train journey ! Really fantastic !
Thank you so much 😀
Excellent video. Definitely worth subscribing to this channel. Best wishes to the gents at Memory Seekers 🙂
Thank you very kind.
Thank you so so much for this. Steam trains have such a majestic look and feeling about them and the stations have character. What we have lost in new building styles. Oh for the good old days.Thank you again =-) PS this episode is going to be shared with my 2 year old grandson who is a train fanatic already. =-)
How lovely, I am sure he will enjoy it, especially the sounds of the train. 😊
Gr8 as usual luv steam trains beautiful country
Thank you 😊
hi. great video.loved the first railway children film in 1970. sad about Mr Perks passing on, fab loco.looks well maintained as is Oakworh station, bet Mr Perks is looking down from above,
Yes it was sad about Bernard Cribbins a superb actor and story teller. I am sure he is looking down!
Very lovely! We took a train tour ride here in Van Buren, Arkansas & it was totally delightful! Never seen the Railway Children but it sounds like it would be a good story. Thank you! Can't wait until next time!
You cannot beat an old steam train where it is. I don’t think the railway children made it out of the U.K. which is a shame, a classic British film that is kind of timeless.
Loving this series, thank you for keeping me entertained!
So pleased you like it.
So delightful watching this, the history and seeing the way the volunteers keep up the buildings and trains is wonderful, brought back so many memories of this area for me. Thank you 💕🇦🇺
Thanks Liz so pleased you enjoyed it. A wonderful railway line!
That was delightful! I enjoyed every second of it? Lovely surprise, seeing Haworth on this line. I and can't wait for the upcoming ones in this literary series. Thank you so much! Now I have to watch the film again.
A lot of history on this line, they are lucky to have Haworth as part of it. Draws in the crowds. More from Haworth coming soon.
What a beautiful train. Much respect to those that rallied to keep it running. It is just magnificent. Thank you for sharing. I will check out the book. 🌻💛🌻
Thank you very much. The book is a wonderful charming read. The film is very heart warming on a cold winters night.
Lovely and very well done this is one trip thats on my list when I am back in the UK also your Bronte walk fabulous thanks for those.
Hope you do them. Very easy to do both just give yourself 2 days.

Thank you so much, very kind.
Thanks for the ride, throughly enjoyed the trip. 🙏
You are so welcome, thank you for watching!
Thanks guys for your excellent videos, always informative and interesting, thank you👏👏💜
Thanks Di!
Loved the movie
Absolutely loved this video. What fun. I will definitely be going there when I'm back in the UK. Thanks for uploading.
Thank you for watching, hope you do visit well worth it. Oakworth or Haworth are great bases for the area.
Daddy, my Daddy! (Jenny Agutter's character Roberta in The Railway Children).
The train's chuffing slowly as it gets underway reminds me of a bear huffing, or a great beast straining to carry a load. I liked seeing the countryside go by as the train was at traveling speed. I just love old steam trains!
Lovely video, the county side is so beautiful. Looking forward to seeing what's next
It certainly is a stunning part!
Absolutely wonderful I have so much admiration for these fantastic people that keep these heritage railways going.
Love the video.

What a wonderful to welcome in the month of October. Loved this story and the train.
Glad you liked it.
Lived very near there until last year, it’s a lovely place and similar to lots of other places round there. Lots of attractions in that part of the world, go see Saltaire and the Shipley Glen Tramway plus the nearby Salts Mill.
Thank you for the recommendations for next time we head that way!
Thank you so much for another beautiful and informative video. I appreciate all your hard work in order to share with us. Can’t wait for Yorkshire Dales next. Loved All Creatures Great and Small. Appreciate you Will and Simon. Stay safe! ❤️🇨🇦
