@@blag6666 this is why the future of Jiu Jitsu is to just become grappling. If it works it works. Whether they're techniques from wrestling, Sambo, Judo, etc. This is why I don't do "jiu jitsu", I do grappling. My gym is a grappling gym.
In my utmost humble opinion. “ Poetry in motion” “ Perfect practice that assures flawless timing is the essence of everything” Astonishing to see your students in action, Anton’s ability to level change at his size with such skilled timing/ speed is an testament to the dedication that he has given to obtain said skills. I had wrestling sparring with some guys few months ago, with no wrestling experience whatsoever I got humbled. Now I just wish I knew about your channel back then.
I absolutely love the arm drag, and seeing how beautiful this takedown series flows together off the various reactions provides me much happiness haha.
this is sooooo good. im a bjj guy and my takedowns compared to wrestlers are absolute shit. i watch high level bjj guys show their best takedowns and they are never as smooth, practical or successful as a wrestlers. normally i have to search around for something thats functional for bjj though. this is absolute gold. i watched your video on beating the underhook and overhook and it literally changes everything. ive always been a fan of Brians for all things jiujitsu, now Anton is my number one wrestling coach. Well done you guys, you just keep helping me and so many others get better and better
I love this. I'm an old guy who never wrestled, but I try to incorporate as much wrestling as I can in my jiu-jitsu. This gives me so much to work on. THANK YOU!
The " Russian Panda" for some reason reminds me of Inigo Montoya from the movie " The Princess Bride." The great and masterful grappling content here makes me feel like a novice, and this channel is quickly becoming my favorite for grappling instruction. I'll have to mention this channel to all my friends. Thanks for putting forth such helpful content.
These are very good because I've found the arm drag can be defended by the opponent spinning out of it as Trent does, but then he is set up for the takedown.
"The old banana in the tailpipe trick" LOL! These kids have no idea you referenced a movie from before they were born! (Beverly Hills Cop). Good stuff as usual Coach! 🙏👊
you guys are hitting on some things I love, coming from a more experience in judo then wrestling, movement and momentum is king. This makes me happy. I have gotten the better of people better then me by just rag dolling them for an opening and you guys showed it not brute force to do it.
@@TeachMeGrappling I have to agree, judo leg trips ( osoto gari )and leg throws ( ouchi-gari )are making inroads in wrestling. Would be nice if you can break it down.
DROPPING KNOWLEDGE BOMBS. THIS IS WHAT I’M HERE FOR!!! Best channel on UA-cam is TeachMeGrappling. Coach Brian is the man but everything Anton teaches is such smooth work both technically and strategically.
My jiujitsu journey has made me realize how important takedowns and wrestling are to my game and it’s an area I’m severely lacking in so I’m quickly falling in love with all things wrestling
Great content ! If at all possible could you cover some hand fighting concepts, ie Greco techniques ? I feel many beginner and novice grapplers like myself lack in this facet the most.
I didn’t even know I loved wrestling this much until I started watching your channel. Honestly. Took the words right out of my mouth, Coach Brian. Beautiful stuff, these moves are sweet and when they are done correctly, wow-what a thing of beauty! Awesome stuff 👍
Nice! Wondering if more detailed videos on these are on your channel somewhere. I don't expect to be able to do the fireman's carry because I am small and usually rolling with heavier people but I'm keen to try the others.
This was phenomenal! I have wrestling tomorrow. Two questions for you coach. *(1.)* Are there other takedowns or submissions I can chain with the arm drag? *(2.)* What setups are available for wrestlers who spin with me when I arm drag? That's a common response but I don't feel what I'm doing is working well. Thanks for everything you guys do. You made me a better wrestler!
For grappling arm drag and russian ties are best because you can take their back easier. Look up marcelo garcia's armdrag it's wrestling armdrag mixed with bjj to take your back better. And in wrestling if your opponent keeps spinning with you he's trying to play catch up with you. If you have an arm drag or a Russian tie and you circle you'll have 0.5-1 second of time while he tries to spin it off and face you. During this 1 second you should explode into a low single or high crotch or whatever you find most available.
Don't forget we have a full playlist of takedowns at the link below! Hope Everyone enjoyed the video!

Coach Anton
Best wrestling videos on youtube
Raw skill! Seriously inspiring my fat ass to get back on the mat!
Love your guys stuff!
You're a loving caring grappler, thanks for the techniques.
So smooth! I need to drill this to compliment the Jiu-jitsu. My takedown's are telegraphed and clunky.
Mines the same, we just don't train enough stand game. To much mat rolling.

Going back and forth with the drag and the high crotch entry looks gold. Great stuff.
Coach Brian’s enthusiasm is bloody beautiful man. You just hear how excited he is just seeing a cool move! Love it
