It’s just Kyrptonian Armor. He’s not dying, but his powers may be under developed.

I want to add, in All Star Superman, Superman needs help from his robots to combat Solaris:
1. Well in the image James release you see a green light beam striking top of Solaris.
2. Instead of the robot, this is why you need all the other heroes; they replace his robots and are an integral part of the overall story. (Gunn said this)
3. Lex will probably trick the Engineer in finding the fortress. (Remember, there we report during the time of the Crest reveal, the Engineer was in the snow with Superman. She probably found the fortress of solitude and something to give Lex powers; and Lex some way made a deal with Solaris.
4. Gunn is taking inspiration from the New 52, All Star Superman and Superman All Seasons.
5. 🚨 Gunn should had waited and run the photo through post production before releasing to the public. (I think he released the photo without post because the media may get a bad picture.
Regardless if James Gunn ran it thru post production or not... that particular photo is a terrible choice to use as a 'first look'. If David Corenswet has been in the gym for MONTHS to get ready for this role... that picture/pose does nothing to show off his gains/physique... because he doesn't even look like he's muscular enough to fill out the suit properly. That photo doesn't SELL the movie, at all... which is what a 'first look' is supposed to do. If he's smart, James Gunn will release a few additional photos soon, to help market the movie properly. No need to release a ton of pics, just like 2 or 3 new pics so do the trick.
@@RogerBliddack I 100% agree, this should not have been the first look photo, I think Gunn realized it now. I also believe the paparazzi may had a chance to take picture of the suit and Gunn rushed and included a hint for the movie plot as a bonus to get an official image (this an in camera, no post image) release before the paparazzi.

@@MrLeAnthony - True, but also don't forget... the movie is halfway finished with filming... so if it was an in-camera image... it means it was taken during an orchestrated photo shoot... and if it was taken during a photo shoot, then a movie production would literally have at least 200-300 images from that photoshoot (in various poses) to choose from.
They wouldn't take 200+ photos of the actor sitting down in the very same chair, only putting his boots on.
So James Guunn had waay more images / poses to choose from that the paparazzi would never have access to... but he chose THIS one.
Yeah, he has PLENTY of in-camera images of Superman standing up, (or in an action shot) but he was being real snarky by dropping this photo & it backfired on him.
@@RogerBliddack I understand now the photo Gunn release was a quick release again to beat the release of any possible photo from the paparazzi. Just because a film is 1/2 way finish doesn’t mean all or any shot has entered post when the release of the movie is a year away.
I also believe the background was a bonus for the plot.

@@FatalJay Thats not an issue with my sound level here. If I play any other videos from youtube pretty much all of them are fine. Just for your video the pitch voice level pick too high

No one is attacking the casting. This was just a very poor choice of a reveal for a rebooted and reintroduction of Superman. A picture like this probably would have been better received much later on in the marketing closer to the release of the movie when everyone will have better idea of the plot. I’m not a fan of Gunn so I have no expectations. I will give it a chance.

Right. This type of picture should have been revealed way down the road but not as the first picture to introduce this new version of the character. Very lame.
@@felipehernandez-pedroza8288 I totally agree with you. Gunn jumped the gun. He was probably concern with the Paparazzi, so he released a first look photo and added a movie plot hint to the background thinking all would be well.
@MrLeAnthony it's weird because he is very active on social media, especially on X (formally known as Twitter), and he has been suspiciously quiet for the last few days since the reveal of this picture.
@@felipehernandez-pedroza8288 In my opinion, Gunn thought showing an in camera photo would not had cause what it did (especially with the backdrop Movie Plot Hint).
I think this photo should had release after the a different more clean bright and total caption of the suit.
Then more fans would be focusing on why he looks the way he looks and what’s going on in the backdrop.

I believe the pink sphere in the picture is Solaris. Gunn is inspired by All Star Superman: I believe Solaris was one of the villains in All Star Superman. Solaris has injured Superman and have blocked the yellow sun while fighting Superman; this is wear the damage on suit came from. I see a green light striking Solaris in the picture as well. Superman may be injured and weaken from the first fight. Green Lantern and others are distracting Solaris while Superman recovers. Solaris is overcoming the other heroes and weakened, Clark Kent witnesses they need his help. They need Superman.
⭐️ In this picture, a weakened Superman is putting on his boots for round 2, he beaten and injured but he is preparing suit back up to fight Solaris, who is blocking the sun, all odds are against Clark but he is the beacon of hope; he is Superman. Now in this photo Superman is preparing to give his all to save the other heroes and the world.
⭐️ I recently rewatched All Star Superman. Solaris and Lex plays a big part; and, I believe the other in heroes are replacing the fortress of solitude robots to fight Solaris.
