I was almost moving my hand in front me trying to move the tall grass away as you were trekking to your camp site. Snap your fingers again and make the rain go away. But after that hike in it would be real nice to chill in the hammock and listen to the rain. Nice camera work over the pond and trees. Thanks for great video. I like your water retrieval system , a spark of genius or was it necessity , probably both. I always answer my questions. The Fat Wood , I get it and cut a chunk about the same length as wooden matches , then split the piece into match size pieces. They are packed in a pill bottle and put with my cooking gear. One of them lights a fire every time in my Firebox , Nano gen 2 titanium stove. It always rains when I go on trip and I beat the rain at it's game. Tom Hennessy ( Hennessy Hammocks ) has an item for filling water bottles when attached to your rain fly. It's ideal when you are away from a water source and it's raining. You can't beat hammock camping , been doing it for over 60 years. Here in Florida it's the only way to comfortably camp and you have to love the Ocala area for camping.
I have a small fire kit that always goes with me. It has little sticks of lighter in it for my just in case scenarios! I'm a hanger myself, it's tough for me to get comfortable on the ground. The dipper was my buddy Robert's design! It was a design of convenience! Lol
Health issues sigh.... Me too. My back os trash. My pack is down to 26 pounds with water and food. Diabeties and high blood/heart issues dont help. Not so worried baout keeling over in the bush. More worried about locking up and not being able to walk due to my back. So if yall hear i died while out camping be happy for me. Dont thing going under a beautiful woman is an option. Ugly one either ...
