    Where do you buy that soffit? I have been looking everywhere and can’t find that style

    What do you do with that nasty cut up mess in the front that's facing out?
    I doubt the fascia for the front board will cover it.
    If it goes under that mess, it will still look bad and wasps will still get it and nest in your shed, of it goes over it, when it's screwed down it will crush it!

    Use aluminum braid nails instead of screws

    Nice video. Is it possible to remove a panel in the middle of a run after it’s been installed? I’d like to remove a solid panel with a vented panel. Any tips?
    Thank you

      Yes. You will probably need to remove the fascia first and any fasteners in the piece of soffit you are replacing. It should then slide out and you can replace it.

    I have a wood soffit and I want to use aluminum soffit over it like aluminum facia over wood facia board. How do I install this?

    • @RB-rf3qi
      @RB-rf3qi 2 роки тому

      You can install the j channel under the wood soffit and proceed as shown in the video. Make sure you have proper ventilation for your climate, which means you may need openings in the wood soffit.

      @@RB-rf3qi Thanks. Since, we have the wood soffits, there are roof vents for the ventilation. Are there any calculation for the roof ventilation? like 4 vents per 1000 sq ft of roof?

    • @RB-rf3qi
      @RB-rf3qi 2 роки тому

      @@orkayen Code requires 150 sq ft of clear vent for each 1000 sq ft of ceiling area if equally split between soffit and high vents. Otherwise you double it (300 sq ft) if it is all low or high vent. The goal is circulation of air.

    Why did you use aluminum instead of vinyl?

    • @ronharker1167
      @ronharker1167  8 місяців тому

      Aluminum is more rigid and it is easier to work with. I use aluminum for the fascia and drip edge also, so the material and color match better.

    Ever think of using a cutoff tool instead of the circ saw? Leaves a much nicer edge.

    Spend $20 and buy the right blade. 😂 no burrs to remove. Time is expensive in todays market. Good video.
