2007 Mercedes ML500 noisy engine sounds like a Diesel

Did you get to replace the oil pump? Did it fix it? I Have the same problem but on a ml350

I need to pull the engine out to replace the oil pump. I have not pulled the engine out yet. I cannot do that where I live. Hopefully I will be moving soon and replace it. I am sure it is the oil pump. There is no pressure at all from it.

I think that engine is gone, running with no oil pressure even if it was for just a bit. Car like that is a total loss.
