This video of Mr. Longoria & accompaniment should be preserved in the archives ofUSA musical history. How can a being with an appreciation of music not love this lively song and it's roots? Part of America's historical values in music I think!
This is Straight uncut raw to the Bone of Roots Tejano Conjunto Style from what it all started from and Valario enovated It his way with Bass guitar & Drums with brought it to another level & Thank u Mr Longoria for that!
My respect for the late great legend Mr. Don Valerio Longoria which I had the honor to meet him in person w/ wife Becky, when he had his old Chevy brown van. Very down to Earth people. I regret not learning the accordion when Don Valerio Longoria tried to teach me & for free of no charge when I was young. Now I feel dumb for not learning when I had the chance in life. Glad that his kids Valerio Jr, Flavio, learn from him. God Bless this great Legends for it's music of today's Conjunto & Tex-Mex industry. Thanks for sharing this great video of this Master artist Legends.
Si senor little joe just enjoy jamming with real tejano pros like him wish I could have been there listening and watching it would have been a privilege
Conjunto came from the Texas’ German & Polish accordionist. Norteño came much later. Okay, here is the history of Tejano music. The German Americans and Polish Americans brought the accordion to Texas. They were miners along the Rio Grande and they were settlers in New Bruanfels and Karnes County area in the 1930s. (Narciso Martinez heard the German/Polish accordion in the Rio Grand Valley, Santiago Jimenez (Flaco's dad) heard it in New Bruanfels and Valerio Longoia heard it in Karnes County. Tejanos removed the bass from the accordion and used the bajo sexto as the bass. Then came the drums and thus it was call Conjunto and Norteño soon followed because the originally recorded their music Texas late 1950s (RGV & San Antonio.
Tejano came into the 1950's. Stop commenting when you don't know shit because they didn't even use the term for this type of music of tex-mex music. If you know history, Norteno was born in Texas so your logic is flawed.
Puro San Luis , that correct sir, is a matter of fact Paulino Bernal dicovered the Relampagos del norte in Reynosa, he took them to McAllen tx to record their first Hits as I believe the first recording label was Bego, they became a sensation en el Valle de texas, I'm old enough to remember that, and yes after that they became stars in mexico.greetings.
+Remberto Mondragon: the Relampagos del Norte were already playing conjunto music before they went to McAllen. And, in fact, in the 70's they were called, " El conjunto de los Relampagos del Norte. Hymay 1970: if you would hate your parents it's because you want, too. Hating your heritage is not a prerequisite or has anything to do with being an American. And, Juan Mendoza: you don't know what you're talking about--nortena music is the real "pirata" of conjunto music. And for all of you that are in error like these three misinformed guys. Check out, UA-cam, for the real history of nortena music on the video, " Los del Valle series."

In my opinion I think Tejano music sucks because it's like a pirated version of nortenos
Juan Mendoza Norteno came from Tejano...
