One time Mr. Longoria came to Fresno,Ca and my brother Phil presented him with a gift. A 4 row accordion he had made. Back in the 60s he stayed with his son at my parents home, what an honer.To the Longorias, THANK YOU SO MUCH.
I would like to thank the producers of this interview and the Longoria Family. Mr Longoria mentions El Mesquiton in Olmito,Tx my dad Challo Leal,Jr owned and operated it from 1947-1968. Mr Gilberto Perez recorded a guapango entitled “El Mesquiton” in which he mentions all of the conjuntos that played there including Mr Longoria. It can be found on Apple Music. Many famous conjuntos are mentioned on it.
