I love his story with him calling his agent and saying that he wanted to try out for Batman. His agent was surprised and said that she thought all he wanted to play was total freaks, and Pattinson responded with "Well he is a freak, he's like a different kind of freak."

he took the batman role seriously. he got into shape. I know people were like he is too skinny no he wasn't skinny he was lean muscle there is a difference. he was 176lbs of lean muscle. to compare Christian bale was 189lbs. only a 13lbs difference. Michael Keaton was only 160lbs and no one complained. for me personally i bought the 4K UHD version. and the only negative for me was the film was a little too long. for me putting it at 2h 30mins plus credits would have made better pacing.

What some people don't get about Robert is that he's not a bad actor, Edward Cullen is a bad character, and he portrayed him marvelously. He was so good that everyone thought it was him and his acting, but he was actually living the boring cardboard character he had to play for that film. But he wanted more, he wanted to grow and learn, and he has done it in an amazing way.

Robert Pattinson played the part of Edward Cullen very well. An emotionally stunted vampire who’s stuck in a purgatory like state of being permanently 17, full of self loathing but at the same time has to exercise a lot self control to not drink his human girlfriends blood doesn’t fit the definition of boring.

As someone who read the books (I loved them as a teenager, don’t judge😂), Pattinson literally played Edward EXACTLY as he was written. His character was awkward and super corny. He wasn’t even acting badly in twilight, he was just portraying what was given to him.

Robert Pattinson really is a quintessential example of an extremely talented actor getting a tough break with a casting that would make pretty much anyone a bit of a cultural outcast. He went from starring in one of the most ridiculed film franchises of all time to what I honestly think is the best live-action portrayal of Batman yet (though I understand that is debatable). It’s a superior film in almost every way, as well as the greatest live action Batman movie ever. I think Andrew Garfield's career is evolving in a somewhat similar way to Pattinson's. Going from feeling trapped in the movie making "machine" after Amazing Spider-Man 2, using theatre as a back door in the same way Pattinson used indie films, and finally making a comeback in blockbusters with Indie sensibilities. Tik Tik Boom was his Lighthouse
Edit: I know Garfield and Pattinson have not had totally identical careers which is why I said "Somewhat similar". The biggest difference being Pattinson had a far deeper hole to dig himself out of while Garfield had a lot of success before and after TASM 2. I mainly just thought they had interesting parallels in that they both got road blocked by really bad Hollywood blockbusters and had to do substantial work to get back on track

People need to realize that just because someone may have been fitted with a less than popular role, it doesn't mean they have no talent. A lot of the time, a poor performance could be linked back to the direction they were given. You could have one of the best actors in the world playing Edward, but without good direction they wouldn't fare much better. And when it came to the announcement that he was playing Batman, I waited to reserve my judgement, and I'm glad I did.

Robert Pattinson and Daniel Radcliffe are both living the dream. Find financial success at a young age and spend the rest of your life chasing your passions. I suppose you could also say that pursuing their passion for acting is what lead them to financial success.

My mom, who had a very sharp intuition when it came to people, always said that she had a good feeling about Robert Pattinson. And this was when she'd first seen him as Edward from Twilight.
She was right. Robert's not just talented but also hard-working and disciplined enough to learn about the characters he's playing. He's not taking his unique looks, connections, and fans for granted. And he knows how to play the long game, especially in an industry where your candle could burn out as quickly as it was lit.

It was so beautiful I could have paused it at any frame and put it as a print on my wall, (maybe except for the scenes of Robert in the shed.) I honestly don't think he was bad in Twilight. Yeah the movies are dumb but I don't think Robert's acting is that bad. It's more the script's fault than his.

Robert and Stewart played these characters spot on; it’s just a cheesy, teen romance that isn’t nearly as awful or bad as people like to dogpile with their internet + Nickelback takes.
Not every performance needs to come with the baggage of 3 years of getting into character. Sometimes the story is the point, and sometimes that story is simple. Has absolutely no problem with the first 3 Twilight films. Last two weren’t great though.
