  • PACKOUT accessory seat. i bought the milwaukee dolly finally and created a seat for the top for fitting off at work. How did it turn out? I feel it came out great. Ive been using it for the last 2 weeks and haven’t had many problems. I do have a lot of additions I wish to add.

    Looks like a good set up for installing lower cabinet hardware and door sets. All of your tools, hardware, etc. right in front of you while your at a comfortable height for the work.

    Good job. I did a similar setup, but used the crate. When I need to sit lower, just the crate. A little higher I add a slim packout. Of course, this is less convenient than having your tools in drawers.

    • @AddictedtoTools
      @AddictedtoTools  2 роки тому

      Good to see others doing something similar. Having the tools in the drawer is definitely good. It’s expensive though

    To be fair, the PACKOUT dolly is very well made. Sure, for the vast majority of the time, you could get away with much cheaper components, but at the times your PACKOUT stack is super overloaded, you're gonna be very happy to have those super nice casters. Just my personal experience...

      I couldn’t agree more mate. I’ve been impressed with all the packout gear so far. After using the dolly for awhile now, it’s quality which you want when you need to rely on it. Cheers for the input 👌🍻

      I’ve put my dolly through hell on jobs, I once moved a pallet of commercial metal doors over a few thousand pounds with a hand truck and the dolly

      Maybe it's just me but I feel like the Milwaukee packout stuff is getting overpriced. Don't get me wrong, I love Milwaukee but EVERYTHING Milwaukee has increased 10% - 40% A year ago the Milwaukee battery powered M18 fan was $99, now it's $139. Yes you can find it cheaper in other places but Milwaukee doesn't honor the warranty period if you purchase it for anyone who isn't an approved retailer... so if you pick up something from Amazon and it breaks, you won't get it fixed through Milwaukee (depending on the seller).
      This dolly is $99 (USD) here locally, it used to be $69 or $79.

    I was on the fence about the stomp pedal too… but it’s the best thing. Keen for the Joey plates too- too expensive to get them from the states tho

      Great idea….on using a wall mount sometimes the simplest solution is right in front of us. I got (6) wall mounts a year ago on clearance @ HD for $7.99 each… they are like gold now…lol

    I have the same 4 wheeler. I also made one out of plywood, casters and a packout mounting plate. It's a lot lower than the store bought. Might help with the height issue.

    would double sided tape on the stealth mounts hold them in place to your seat, enough to slide it off and then drill them? The packing tape method seems like it could get off. Very creative idea. Thanks for the video.

    I use a rolling stool with a couple small drawers but if I get a good deal on a drawer unit I might do something like this. I would probably build the base plate.

    • @AddictedtoTools
      @AddictedtoTools  2 роки тому

      That’s definitely how I felt. After using it for a while now, it is a good extra. Especially when your paying $130 for a dolly😂

    • @joshm1636
      @joshm1636 2 роки тому

      Even though the castors are lockable, how often would you be locking them if you're using it as a mobile chair. Considering it is $130 for the base, you'd want something to keep it in place when you're fitting or taking crates off it.

    • @joshuatolodxi179
      @joshuatolodxi179 2 роки тому +2

      Do you really want to have to lock the wheels just to add/remove something from the stack just to have to unlock them again before you can go on with your day, or just step on a pedal, do the thing, and be on your merry?

    I clicked on all your links below but the main thing, that sweet pad is nowhere to be found 🤦🏻‍♂️
    Can you please let me know where you got it from?
    Also, instead of screws, maybe a better option would’ve been threaded rivets.
    A lot more work but you will never get a chance to get screwed up the ass 🤣 no pun intended 🤷🏻‍♂️
