now you have made me want to buy the 4 wheel dolly. this is such a great idea
Effing Brilliant , I’ll steal the idea ! Of course , I’ll fully attribute the idea !
No worries mate. Let me know how it turns out
Looks like a good set up for installing lower cabinet hardware and door sets. All of your tools, hardware, etc. right in front of you while your at a comfortable height for the work.
Good job. I did a similar setup, but used the crate. When I need to sit lower, just the crate. A little higher I add a slim packout. Of course, this is less convenient than having your tools in drawers.
Good to see others doing something similar. Having the tools in the drawer is definitely good. It’s expensive though
To be fair, the PACKOUT dolly is very well made. Sure, for the vast majority of the time, you could get away with much cheaper components, but at the times your PACKOUT stack is super overloaded, you're gonna be very happy to have those super nice casters. Just my personal experience...
I couldn’t agree more mate. I’ve been impressed with all the packout gear so far. After using the dolly for awhile now, it’s quality which you want when you need to rely on it. Cheers for the input 👌🍻
I’ve put my dolly through hell on jobs, I once moved a pallet of commercial metal doors over a few thousand pounds with a hand truck and the dolly
Maybe it's just me but I feel like the Milwaukee packout stuff is getting overpriced. Don't get me wrong, I love Milwaukee but EVERYTHING Milwaukee has increased 10% - 40% A year ago the Milwaukee battery powered M18 fan was $99, now it's $139. Yes you can find it cheaper in other places but Milwaukee doesn't honor the warranty period if you purchase it for anyone who isn't an approved retailer... so if you pick up something from Amazon and it breaks, you won't get it fixed through Milwaukee (depending on the seller).
This dolly is $99 (USD) here locally, it used to be $69 or $79.
G'day, Looks like a great addition to your Packout 👍
Use the ‘wall mounting plates’ as your template. They are “see through”!
Great idea….on using a wall mount sometimes the simplest solution is right in front of us. I got (6) wall mounts a year ago on clearance @ HD for $7.99 each… they are like gold now…lol
Love you tape / marking system!
Cheers mike. Took a bit of time but worked out perfectly. I wouldn’t mind seeing how others do it. I believe there maybe a full packout stencil available. I could be making that up though 😂
I have the same 4 wheeler. I also made one out of plywood, casters and a packout mounting plate. It's a lot lower than the store bought. Might help with the height issue.
What a great set up man, that’s pretty cool 😎
I was on the fence about the stomp pedal too… but it’s the best thing. Keen for the Joey plates too- too expensive to get them from the states tho
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one😂
Are you in Australia also?
I got the joeys bulk ordered last time. Could do it again sometime.
Yeah, Gold Coast. I’m keen. Send out details next time you are thinking of putting an order in and I’ll see what I can do
Cool now my coworkers have a comfy seat to play on their phones all day 🤨
Nice safety shoes 😜
A sparky not leaving his rubbish behind 😝
They will kick you out of the club you know 😀
I’ll definitely be making one these 👍🏼…
Very nice 👍
I used double sided tape pulled out the piece and ggsn screwed in from bottom of stealth mounts
Sounds a little bit easier👌 cheers
I was going to comment this!
Great idea mate.
Thanks mate. 👍
Good idea ...
I use a rolling stool with a couple small drawers but if I get a good deal on a drawer unit I might do something like this. I would probably build the base plate.
Love it mate. Great vid. Cheers Robert
Nice work, I really like it
Thanks Hilton. It’s been a good little project👍
would double sided tape on the stealth mounts hold them in place to your seat, enough to slide it off and then drill them? The packing tape method seems like it could get off. Very creative idea. Thanks for the video.
If you put screws in the stealth mount and then line up the knee pad and give it a hit it will mark the plastic
You need a bucket that latches on so you can store supplies inside, and use the metal handle to hang your bibs on and put back pocket pouch on
If you expect to keep installing more of these add on cleats. Make a pattern with sheet of plexiglass(Perspex?).
The stop lever does seem like overkill when the castors look like they are lockable
That’s definitely how I felt. After using it for a while now, it is a good extra. Especially when your paying $130 for a dolly😂
Even though the castors are lockable, how often would you be locking them if you're using it as a mobile chair. Considering it is $130 for the base, you'd want something to keep it in place when you're fitting or taking crates off it.
Do you really want to have to lock the wheels just to add/remove something from the stack just to have to unlock them again before you can go on with your day, or just step on a pedal, do the thing, and be on your merry?
You can also use carpet tape, super glue or hot glue to stick the mounts on
How tall are you? I'm wondering what height person it would work better for?
Personal I would have put a frame between the base and your seat with a " tray " or storage area protruding we're you could put items
Great videos mate. Let me know if you want a aircon done in our shed? Thanks. G. Boss Air Cons Brisbane
Brilliant!
I just use double-sided tape when adding stealth mounts to things
When’s the next shed video?
Seems a little high. Perhaps you could devise a way to install the wheels directly to the packout
Very nice set up sir am l right in saying you are Australian l see you chaps have red Milwaukee packouts sorry mate but that makes me angry 😡 l am from the uk 🇬🇧 and we have to have the black gear 😡 but like I said I like your seat l am a big Milwaukee man love the gear stay safe sir 👍
Yeah I’m Australian. I’ve wanted to get some black packout.
Good to see another Milwaukee fan. Cheers👍
A sparky that cleans up? 😋 I had a unit like this from supercheap auto (or one of those places) years ago. Definetly better than throwing knee pads on
😂 a few people on site have made that comment. I used knee pad mats for a week on site but we have 280 rooms to do. I wasn’t dealing with that. This is a definite upgrade 👌
setting up milwaukee packout feet is best done like "Jake of all" does it check it out...
Where did you get the knee pad from ?
Total tools. But most tool stores stock them in differing varieties
Can't be a real tradesman until you've experienced having your tools stolen at least once.
Makita fan own Milwaukee packout😂
The tape idea is interesting…. I used a glue gun, but you gotta be fast and get it right the first time
Double side tape would speed this up
Double sided tape on those Mounts would have done the trick
Should have put it together on company time 😂
😂 probably not the best practice.
10 years from now: Hospital Trip from Screw into KneeCap.
Yeap, thought exactly the same thing
No Brasil isso custaria $600😮😮😮😮
Should of just used 4 little pieces of double sided tape mate
Not to be an ass, honestly. #1 Use double-backed tape to do an alignment. #2 Now you have small screws poking your butt?
All good mate. I’ll be trying the tape next time for sure. There’s no screws poking out, they are a lot smaller than the padding.
Cheers👍
@@AddictedtoTools I apologize brother. Everyone has opinions and buttholes and they both stink at times. I did sound like an ass after all. lol
This guy needs some English subtitles.
$136 for that??? Also, if you were smart, you would have put dble side tape on the clips, layed down your pad and slid it out.
Yeah mate. I guess I’m just not smart. Cheers for the input mate👍
Dude! One of the best mods I’ve seen. Specially due to that knee pad, I’ve never seen that type with hard bottom and handles. That’s bananas!
I clicked on all your links below but the main thing, that sweet pad is nowhere to be found 🤦🏻♂️
Can you please let me know where you got it from?
Also, instead of screws, maybe a better option would’ve been threaded rivets.
A lot more work but you will never get a chance to get screwed up the ass 🤣 no pun intended 🤷🏻♂️
Cheers mate. Definitely worked well on site.
They are called a kneeling board. I’ll put this in the description(thanks for the heads up).
I can’t remember which store I got it from, but here is a similar one.

@@AddictedtoTools ah you the man! Thanks for the link.
Unfortunately it’s not currently available but now I have a name, and model number to search out.
Much appreciate your reply 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
