Yes!! I just met him after My Fair Lady and like..he seriously is so genuinely nice! Just so considerate and thoughtful and humble and down to earth. I wish I could have talked to him for hours. ~:~
You can literally tell that from all his interviews. He’s so humble and kind 🥹. I’m so glad he got to do the final show of phantom on bway before it closed! Iconic!
Julian Robbel before the final lair. as the phantom brings christine down after point of no return (but not officially in the lair yet). giry brings raoul to the bridge and leaves him, he jumps off, and then he comes out of the hole in the final lair at “wait, i think my dear we have a guest”
AGREED! But as someone mentioned above, that’s one small hole for him to land in! Did not anticipate that tight of a space! Has to be calculated each and every time...
His name sounds like a combination of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s title of Lord and Cameron Mackintosh’s last name. No wonder he’s perfect for the role. Haha
ive seen it when they cant jump. they just run off down the ramp. if they cant see the “ok jump” light signal, they just run off instead. why risk jumping if you cant see and breaking your legs?
Thank you for your great performance, Laird! And thank you for your autograph and pictures. I had a wonderful & memorable time to see the show and visit NYC. I did my video as attached. I like to hear some comments from you! Thank you again, Phantom! So glad to find out that you are from Calgary!!! ua-cam.com/video/L5ynJMEcmmU/v-deo.html
Does anyone know....? If any actor playing the Phantom already wears contact lenses, (for vision correction), are the dark-blue and white contact lenses used as part of the Phantom's make-up made to the actor's prescription? I know some actors take off their glasses/lenses when on stage, but if I took out my lenses I wouldn't be able to see what I was doing - certainly not find my way down a staircase and look for a trapdoor in the stage!! How does a short-sighted Phantom cope if they're not prescription lenses?
when he was in, he was andre regularly but was actually an understudy phantom. not very common for a featured role actor to understudy. but i saw him as phantom and he was AMAZING!
The spot where the stage ends, meeting the edge of the orchestra pit, or audience if a pit is not present. So those air pipes he mentions keep the fog from going into the eyes of the orchestra. Otherwise they’d be blinded, and would not be able to play.

Finally someone tells exactly how Raoul's jump works!
To know how SMALL it is,is even more terrifying to know how exact the jump must be
In which scene he jumps?

It doesn't happen every show. I've been a few times and sometimes they just run back down the bridge.
Does anyone have a video?

I assume they would have someone guide them backstage and have strategically placed lighting. I could be wrong though
They would most DEFINITELY have custom contacts made. Otherwise that is an absolute accident waiting to happen.
@@joshsauer4725 that makes more sense than what I said
Michael crawford is famous
Isn’t he Andre now?
Navy Gaming he covers both I think

How come you play the Phantom but didn't know Michael Crawford before?
It was a joke.
He was being sarcastic, my friend. Unless...you were also being sarcastic in your question. :)
