    I definitely need one of these. The stock bicycle brake is too weak. It works, sure, but after I get a 212 put on im gonna need more stopping power

    I used the “Mini Bike Hydraulic Brake Caliper Bracket” from Go Power Sports. Made this same brake kit bolt on on my cc100x. Only had to drill one hole in the bracket so it could bolt to the bracket that is welded on the frame.

      Awesome! Ya, for me I love the challenge of doing this stuff myself. About 50 cents worth of metal and a few washers and a drill . And a hour of fun.

    I had to cut the original mounting plate off mine and weld on a custom plate for my retrofit. It ain’t pretty but it stops my bike. Nice job!

    nice job! man
    btw i envy your dry climate.. where i live the humidity alone would rust up that plate in a few months just sitting still. It would require either
    self etch primer +spray paint, powder coat, or my current favorite of DIY black oxide followed with oil based stone sealer.

      If you look at the factory mount there are spacers welded on there. I could have welded spacers like the factory mount, but wanted to do it without welding so anyone could do it.

    now you just need to do some 30mph to 0 stopping distance tests...
    I plan on doing the same thing on my street driven MM80 with the 200cc engine (and maybe a front hydro brake too)...I don't think it would be necessary to do on my little 80cc dirt/sand cruiser
    I see GPS has a bracket to bolt these hydro brakes to the rear of an MM80 for $8.00, so I think I'll go that route

    An even easier way to get grips off is with air compressor and air duster. Couple of blasts underneath while you pull it off. Job done

    • @Black66
      @Black66  2 роки тому

      I think it would but I would recommend going with a two piston brake for the bigger bikes. The pads are small on this brake and would be used up quickly with the weight of the bigger bikes

      I think maybe we should fab a mount and install a dual piston brake. That will give us some good stopping power. The small pad single piston
      brakes just aren't designed for a lot of speed.

    I hate that it sometimes involves welding it’s like why can’t they just make one that’s universal that fits every minibike hello annoying modern day world problems wishing I knew how to weld wishing I didn’t have to pay someone mad money to do it. I might just give up on the whole minibike thing. It’s honestly a waste of money rather be dead in a grave, then spending money on a bike that’s just gonna break in a week from now.
