I dunno man. I took the title to mean '300 Brotherhood of Steel knights' not '299 knights, and one giant death robot'.
Now, granted, when you're outnumbered 100 to 1 (literally), it probably doesn't matter what the 100 is, provided it's more aggressive than a potato. I feel like this wasn't really a fight with any surprising outcomes. 30,000 can beat 300, unless you add in a giant robot that's literally unkillable. Whoda thunkit?
If it was 10 deathclaws against a single knight, my money would still be on the deathclaws. If it was 100 deathclaws vs 10 knights.... I'm not so sure. A worthy experiment. If the knights won THAT fight, then you'd start trying to find the tipping point where the odds seem roughly even, and THEN scale it up.
Then again, it could be that the greater numbers always win, in which case even them out... I'm pretty sure that in any combination of enemies, you could find a tipping ratio where the odds of either side winning would be roughly even.
You know, the more I think this through, the more I'm thinking i could make a saltybet-esque stream out of it.

First up, it'd be pretty hard without the modding tool, and possibly a script extender - to count the number of faction members left on each side to know when the fight is over, if nothing else. The first challenge would be getting fallout to run in an AI driven, streamable state. Tough, but not impossible. I've been looking into game-streaming over EC2 servers.
Next I'd need to make a script that could algorithmically set up fights. There's in-game commands to teleport from point to point and spawn NPCs, so as long as I have a large, predictable arena, that should work.
The actual in-game scripts probably wouldn't be able to store much data about setting up new fights or processing data, so i'd probably create a microservice on the same server. Now, the tough part would be getting that data into and out of the game itself. If there's a way for the game to make HTTP calls then we're sorted. otherwise I'm really not sure... I sure as hell don't have access to bethesda's source code.
All that is at least a month long project, but it could be fun! Maybe even a good test of skills.

How are you able to setup these versus battles? Is it a Mod? Is it an in-game feature? is it a dev tool?

This was amazing. I think it would be cool in the future to see the numbers of each side going down in a counter style. I have no idea how one would pull that off because obviously, it wouldn't be really viable(to say the least) to count manually.

Could you try and do this- A very large swarm about 5,000-10,000 raiders attacking the BoS on the bridge with 300-500 BoS units placed strategically with a couple of turrets about 15-20 and some mines 5-10. When the raiders are victorious, if they are, make liberty prime come out and destroy the rest of the raiders. After they are all destroyed make prime go back to the giant ship (forgot the name) and make him get ambushed when he walks into mines by about 500-1,000 raiders. Sorry if this is a big request. I expect you will never see this comment! Also I would probably give you about a year to make this you can do it like a piece by piece. Like do a tiny bit every week or something. Hopefully you see this. I also highly appreciate you content. I have been subscribed since 44k on my old account. Keep up the good work and keep being as good as you are! Question cause I'm playing fallout 4 on Xbox one with all DLC installed. Is it possible to build Deathclaw cages at the Boston airport settlement and then release them upon the brotherhood?
Not that I know of, but I have a mod on my Xbox that allows me to just spawn deathclaws

I really love your videos, now that you take a more cinematic approach it looks so sweet, syncing scenes to the music can have such a great effect. Also you included some nice one on one scenes. You don't always need mass, those small encounters you filmed added great variety to the vid.
Since you have tinkered around alot, i have a feeling that the AI kinda struggles in big fights. Is this limited by your own CPU power or do they just get stuck on the corpses?
Anyways keep it up with the videos, you already have high demand for these vids, so it would be great if you make this a regular thing and also try out new setups instead of just mass against mass.
I think we all know that new vegas and fallout 3 death claws were much more formidable then these ones.

I played on very hard and with med-x, subdermal, toughnes, 10 END and remnants power I get killed in 2 hits xD
