So true we were at my parents home and they had an open house early in the day but it was over we all came back home and a couple showed up and just opened the door our dog jumped up and barked before they barely got the door open. Luckily it was all OK the couple there to look at the house was very nice and friendly But loved how our baby protected us regardless

Anything gets close and they left me know. The most importing thing is they need to be able to do their job. Marie Antoinette Moore’s book on them is a must read. Even if you never get chance to be owned by a Mastiff. A life forever changed by having mine over the years. The Old English Mastiff is unique in many many things about them. I have studied the breed for 52 years. All I could find to read on them and them owning us over the years. You will find out things about your Mastiff that is not written in books. Truly amazing things.

There is something so special about this breed. I can’t wait to hear you put your experience in words. Don’t expect her to be like any breed you’ve had before. They are such a pleasure to be around. Mine just turned 6 months. It’s all about a routine. First 2 months are tough. After that? I laugh every day. He’s my best friend. Poops like a bear, hair everywhere, slobber rags at every corner in house. Never been more happy😂😂😂
I am so jealous! We have a Neapolitan mastiff and I’m desperate to add an English to my family. But our boy is not fussed on other dogs 😭 Eileen is absolutely divine

We brought our 8 week old (27lb) EM puppy home last Monday. We called him Oxford and he's an eating machine. We've had numerous dogs before and I can definitely see why these would be difficult for first time dog owners. He's very chill but very dominant. 🇦🇺
It's great to see things are going to well with Eileen. My English Mastiff was much the same when we got her, sleeping the ride home, sleeping through the night and quick learner (we had to house train ours ourselves but she leaved so quickly). Can't wait to continue watching Eileen grow up.
We also have a new puppy, keen to follow along with your puppy journey! Our little guy has taken to his crate wonderfully and has slept through almost every night since we got him a week ago... proud puppy Mum here.

When I first got my puppy he slept from 11 after doing a poo on a puppy pad till 5 the next morning without go for a walk as it was great english weather at the time and was still at the end of my bed in the same position. Ps the puppy pads were removed and the after n was toilet trained at 14 wks but did have 4 accidents from 14 wks to 7 months
Yeah dogs of some smarter breeds will figure out that by themselves because they can pick up on urine smell in the restroom/bathroom. I have one of those fake grass cat litter things but for dogs, right next to the toilet and my dog learned to pee there when I'm at work.

I have had a lot of very good dogs in my life but he’s the best. Potty trained in 2 days. Never chewed anything he shouldn’t. Awesome dog but he sheds a lot.

Bro I’m getting a 98% content wolfdog in 2 months. Litter Dad is 33 1/2inch at the withers and 150lbs, the mom is 32inch and 125lbs. Super big and beautiful. Already got first pick for a male pup reserved I’m super excited.
