Bandit O'Bandit, oh how you go, flying down the river, you'll never go slow. Now I feel the memories of, your River Bro. We'll always miss our fishing buddy, Bo.
I appreciate Ariel’s concern for the welfare of the fish. It’s so admirable that you guys farm, catch and hunt for your own meat for food but maintain a sense of responsibility for being humane.
The sound of the boat hitting the waves brought back memories of fishing with my grandfather when I was a child. I would laugh so much I couldn’t breathe. I think he got as much of a kick out of my laughter as I did bouncing around.
Awesomeness that finished way too fast !! That river was super gnarly, in and out !!! What an incredible days fishing and what a haul. Can't ever get enough of you two, much love Eric and Arielle from Down Under 🇦🇺🤗🙏🇺🇸👍👌✌️👏✝️🇺🇸
Opening montage is chef's kiss; stunningly beautiful ... visual, sound, music, aerial, slow-mo, closeups.. what's not to love!? As a NorCal trout fisher (brook to trophy lake) every fish you tossed back hurt my soul, lol! Trout are a difficult catch, finicky feeders, so many rules, and strict limits. When you finally land one and have to throw back due to size, it's painful to part with them. When they are of size and in limit, we almost always keep ... cuz it may be the last (or only!) one you catch not just for the day, but for your outing or even an entire season. Thank you for an afternoon on the water; envious!
Is the size the reason why they put the fishes back to the river? For me the Pikes seem big. I'm a little consternd when I see this. Here in Germany 'catch an release' (for Fun) is vorbidden because of the injuries of the fishmouth. But of course too little fishes can be released.
@@dragonflyshomeandgarden1605 yes; trout have very delicate mouths and hooking them when they're young and/or small to begin with often destroys the jaw and ability to feed properly. When we fish in streams, the hooks are tiny and barbless ... less to tear them up with. On lakes with trophy they are 20+ inches. Many lakes now have a toss-back of anything shorter than 18" and streams, less than 8". The California Fish/Game department rules change every year; are different for different areas, even by stream/river. Confusing as heck! The pike they're Eric and Arielle are pulling out are a much more resilient fish with an actual 'bite.' They're invasive, non-native pretty much everywhere in North America/USA, and they EAT TROUT! So I'm all for bagging as many as possible to get them outta the ecosystem ... Have done lots of things in Germany, but never had a chance to go fishing there!!
omg! wow beautiful intro! The best music choice, adventures, cinematics with the dangerous bit YET very emotional!!! with beautiful video clips woow AWESOME VERY PROFESIONAL. Thank you for taking extra time in editing :)
That creek ride back out with the sparkling raindrops to a double rainbow….breathtaking! Loved the underwater shot too. Always a real treat to see your vids, and I’m glad you noted why you were tossing the pike back, since they are invasive salmon-killers in most places up here. What a fun fishing trip! Thank you for letting us in on it ;)
The cinematography was absolutely stunning in this video. You folks seem so relaxed and laid back in this video. I am glad you got to go out on the lake for fishing.
Gorgeous photography Arielle and Eric, don't you wish SUMMER in the WILD ALASKA would last forever. Fishing, planting, hunting, swimming, canoeing, harvesting on and on. ❤🙏🥰🇨🇦🌏🌎🌍
For 2 people who work so hard it's great to see you having fun while surviving in the off grid life. And thank you for sharing.. Great to see Bandit having fun too
So nice to see the two of you out & having some fun after working so hard on the projects around your property. Those fish were BITING! Had to laugh at Eric's face when the fish he was holding pooped 😂 "Oh... is she pooping? Ugh" 🤣
This is an amazing looking lake and the most beautiful scenery with a lot great fishing areas, also a lot of awesome wildlife out there and I really like seeing the beautiful lakes of Alaska they are awesome take care and Thank You.🇺🇲🏔🏔🇺🇲
Gosh, look at all of the trees surrounding that beautiful lake! You two are so lucky to live there. I cannot thank you enough for sharing the gorgeous videos of the scenery of Alaska❣️
I was so happy to see you have a day off, fishing, at such a glorious location. Much deserved after so much work on your property. Your videos are stunning with the story, sights, sounds, and animal (and birds and fish) life. Very entertaining. Much better than TV and most of Netflix. Thank you for the enjoyment you bring to your almost 800,000 subscribers. PS Please do an end-of season review of house, chickens, shop (quonset hut), solar, equipment, and landscaping. Cannot wait for all the gardening, harvesting, recipes, and eating to come. Know your first year with new garden will be a huge success. Bless you
Whew, that boat ride back sure brought back some hair raising memories....but I'd do it again😃!! What a lovely place to spend the day .... quiet, serene, beautiful scenery!! Then the ride back sure wakes you up - yahoo!!! Hope you enjoyed the fish! Stay safe, be happy!!
now that was one of those trips that really requires a couple of days of just cast and relax ... but hey just one day on the water is better than none ... such beautiful scenery
Your videos are always so educational, inspiring, and entertaining! I eagerly look forward to each new release-it's a highlight of my week. Thank you for sharing your journey and knowledge with us all!
Ever try the 5 of Diamonds. I grew up going to the trapline by boat on the river every summer. Lots of boating, fishing, swimming, berry picking and fixing stuff around the cabin. Takes me back to summer breaks as a kid. Lol. Thank you for taking us along, so wonderful.
The "Infamous Red Devil"... Wish I could relive the numerous Pike and Musky I caught with that lure from my youth in the early 70's boundary waters of Minnesota. Thanks for the video 🤙
Hi both of you !! I ve never fished in my life but guys I ve learned so much watching you . The most amazing couple !! God bless you and keep up with your videos!!!
I just recently subscribed to this channel and am a dog lover myself, im so sad you lost Bo, have lost many throughout my life, but i love this channel and you two are amazing, thank you for many hours of enjoyment !
Always love your fishing trips brings back many fond memories of fishing at my grandparents cabin and yes for pike. You both deserve a nice day on the lake after all the work getting the garden done which is awesome and can't wait too see how it grew. The rainbow at the end awesome not to mention the rough waters 😅. Blessings to you both. 😊🇺🇲
It is like mother nature knows when you guys are coming and puts on a show just for you. Your videography just gets better and better - of all the channels I consume you guys are my favourite - thank you for all your efforts in sharing you blessed life with us. ❤😊
I absolutely love your fishing videos, I enjoy watching them so much. Hope there will be many more to come. Stay safe sending lots of love Lisa from England xxx
This video was awesome and it brought back memories of the time my family would take a week off and go camping in northern Michigan close to Roscommon with my parents, brother, sister and me. I was knee high then, when we fish for pike when we were camping at a state forest camp ground we went to the boat launch and fish for small perch then went back near our camper and fished offshore using the perch as bait. When fishing like that it takes hours two hook a Pike.
I absolutely love to fish for Northern Pike! My favorite lure is the classic Eppinger Silver Red Eye Wiggler. It will literally catch pike anywhere. But we have always found that to catch the big fish, you just about have to trawl for them. Not as fun as casting.
Fantastic way to spend an afternoon. Watching our favourite couple from Alaska catching fish. Thanks for the treat
Thank you for watching ❤
A beautiful day on the Alaskan water!
Went to Canada once the natives seemed to prefer smoked/ dried whitefish over everything. @@SimpleLivingAlaska
❤❤❤
Any smallmouth in Alaska?
Your cinematography just keeps getting better and better. What a superb opening sequence of video.
I agree 100%. I love this channel
Agreed
Bandit O'Bandit, oh how you go, flying down the river, you'll never go slow. Now I feel the memories of, your River Bro. We'll always miss our fishing buddy, Bo.

Agreed. Bo is missed. Bandit is, indeed, the captain of the boat!!
spot on my friend SPOT ON
That's beautiful ❤
I appreciate Ariel’s concern for the welfare of the fish. It’s so admirable that you guys farm, catch and hunt for your own meat for food but maintain a sense of responsibility for being humane.
love how Bandit is absolutely loving his day -- what a legend!
The sound of the boat hitting the waves brought back memories of fishing with my grandfather when I was a child. I would laugh so much I couldn’t breathe. I think he got as much of a kick out of my laughter as I did bouncing around.
My favorite outdoor couple!! Live life to the fullest!!

Waking up at 4.30 in the morning in the Philippines and seeing that a new video is up is a great way to start my day.
One of the best fish meals I've ever had was a pan-fried whole Northern, at a diner in Wisconsin. AMAZING dinner, even 50+ years later.
