why six ate gnome when she was starving , not the sausage !??????!!!!
I'd like to ask the developers about that too.
they are both made of children so to six they were the same.
I would of liked 2 diffrent endings....where .....ONE you take the sasuage ....and keep Your ' mum '....alive....and the EVIL ending where you eat the little creature and kill mum.....
She can't eat meat. She can only drink blood
the potato was really full of blood
I am actually incredibly intrigued to find out what this story is all about...
Agreed, I'd really like to know the whole story of what happened, why their faces look like masks, why Six refuses to eat the sausage and instead eats the gnome, and what on earth would corrupt her so deeply that she would kill her own mother.
Turtle Face That lady isnt her mother
Turtle Face Maybe she eats the nome (I believe it's spelled that way in the game) because she knows what they're made of
I'd also like to know why there's a reverse mirror in the bathroom? My theory is that the woman likes to gaze upon the obese populace at their ugliest moments, perhaps to make herself feel slightly prettier. That's just my theory but no one seems to be paying any attention to the reverse mirror with the chair behind it
Elijah Criswell People are speculating that that is where a deleted character sat and observed the guests. Goes by the name of Bellboy.
I agree with this theory except for the lady fattening up the guests to steal their lightforce - I think she fattens them up to make them ugly, so she looks the most beautiful among the pigs.
I also hear that the guests eat themselves to death, and then their corpses are served up as food to feed more guests.
EDIT (April 16th, 2020) - Oh wow! 1900 Likes? Thank you all so much! :D
I like that take on this, sound right.
"They shuffle up the gangway and into the mouth of The Maw. And then they are no more.
For none of those that enter have ever returned to tell the tale. At least, not yet…
www.little-nightmares.com/en/#places/place-1
Sounds good but why should she fatten them up to make them ugly, if they'll die.
Your theory does make sense! And goes great with lias. - that's why they never leave. There's a lot with physical beauty in this short game which might be why the people also wear masks? But the lady (or mother) would prefer to keep them overweight. Just wish there was a theory to the slender hung person in the beginning. Could that be the father sent to prison for death to achieve ultimate power?
I think it's another janitor. If you think about it, there's a janitor with very long arms, and there's this person with very long legs. Maybe it was a janitor who realized the vileness of his actions, and so sought a way out of his own...Little Nightmare.
Also, another idea I have about Six. You know how the game is called Little Nightmares? Well...what if SHE is the Nightmare that these monsters fear? What if that was the reason she was cast down into the bowels of the ship? To be turned into food and fed to ravenous gluttons before she could do anything to stop the workings of the Maw?
So true, I can see a reason they would as their job is to raise children then package them for consumption. Little known fact, there's a video that shows a darker image of Six who appears whenever she eats. I'd search for the video to help develop theory. Come to think of it, if there's a darker Six, the "mother" has supernatural power, and the dolls release darkness... I'd assume breaking the dolls foreshadows the mother's fate. Or maybe it infects Six which is the cause of her change in appetite. Genetics or unrelated power?
I dont know y but this reminds me of spirited away
Yes, me too! The scene when all the guests come into the boat seens clearly inspired by the movie.
You, aren't the only one, as soon as i saw them crowding into the ship it gave a very big spirited away vibe for me
xxReznikxx also the part where the guest is eating and they look like pigs it reminds of the part where the girl from spirited away see her parents turn into pigs when they ate the food
yeah
Same.
Look into Yokai in Japanese mythology, all the monster you face all seem heavily based on them, and the whole children eating thing is also a yokai thing
noodleus99 right
this whole Theme with the guests there and an Lady as the Leader of the [Hotel ?] reminds me of spirited away (with chihiro the lil girl in a different world working for an old lady in a Hotel)
noodleus99 k
I don't exactly recall Chihiro munching on Yubaba's neck and sucking all the life out of the guests though. D:
that was in the extras ;)
Joel Mewengkang 5/7 story
I was thinking she smashed all the mirrors so she wouldn't kill herself by absorbing her own soul
a more plausible theory than this video has
Lol I doubt that though. She was clearly shown to be quite close in vision with the obese npcs, and did not absorb any souls. Meaning she has full control of her powers, so your theory does not make sense.
Zane The Insane k
kvg 7 six does have control she used it on purpose to kill them so she can escape do you think they'd let her walk away frely
no, that's not what would happen if she looked at herself, if she looked at herself she would get unlimited soul power, kinda like plugging a power strip into its self
JK lol XD
this game is so deep and eerie and is now automatically going to be in my top 5 of this year.
I'm not sure why people think all the mirrors are broken because she can't stand to look at herself, and ignore the more obvious option: All the mirrors are broken because mirrors can kill her.
Then why keep one mirror not broken and even go so far as to lock it up? If they can kill her, just break all the mirrors and call it a day.
Well that's when you could bring up the vanity thing. She's so vain that even though she should break all the mirrors, the thought of never being able to look at her own beauty makes her keep one mirror intact, and lock it away. So in a way, her own vanity becomes her downfall. I think it still makes more sense than feeling like she's the most beautiful thing but also hating to look at herself.
I think you missed the points in this video, but the point is is that she isn't the most beautiful thing and she knows it. She keeps the mirror in hopes one day she does look beautiful because everyone around her is ugly and obese. Looking into the mirror reminds her of who she actually is and how ugly she still is. And that her daughter is more beautiful than she is. No, she doesn't feel like she's the most beautiful thing, that's why she wants to make everyone else ugly so she can be. The supernatural powers I don't think fit in this story at all and I have no idea why they were added, but hopefully, it's all explained in the comic.
Exactly mirrors kill because she can't stand to look at herself
secretagentlucario no it blinds her when you rip her throat is what kills her didn't you see the flash of light? It dazed her and after awhile it knocked her out like a flashbang. If I had a mirror and kept flashing it into your eyes while were in a dark room after awhile you'll be dazed and confused. Sure she doesn't want to see herself but mirrors don't kill your little sharp teeth and soul sucking power does.
I believe this game is an allegory of society's obsession with excess and how greed leads to succumb one's self towards perdition. The starvation represents the desperate need to constantly attain things. When Six ends up eating the gnome, it shows how one tends to lose sight to our surroundings and act on our own selfishness to feel "satisfied".
Alora Lee disappeared.
admit that u love fried chicken
Jay F Have you taken the time to look when was that I had posted this comment? 2 weeks ago. Furthermore, where's the fun with the unknown if it's not open for interpretation? It could've been the first idea the creators had before even making the game. That in its own way is art.
@@Basicuseriguess Take a chill pill buddy 😐
You maybe right 4 years later
As soon as Six ate the little gnome instead of the sausage, I said oh hell nawwww.
What about the eye? It has a big role in the game too
I always figured that it meant The Lady was watching you.
there's a secret room in which you noticed that the eye is monitoring the chef, the janitor, the lady, the babies, and the prison.
The thin man is behind the eye who is mono in little nightmares 2
It can either mean THE MAW is fake due to THE LN2 ending with the tower being fake which leaves alot of room for speculations because why is the Maw fake if mono is at the tower which is fake or it means SOMEONE is always watching (presumably six because she turns out to be the nightmare or something bigger) it's couldn't be mono either
This would make a great Tim Burton film
I seriously want that now
Yes omg, or a stop motion film by Laika studios (people who made coraline, boxtrolls, kubo and the two strings, paranorman etc)
Whatever story may come out of this, at the very least the girl has successfully conquered her "little nightmares," quite literally though.
Unless she is the little nightmare and she had been locked up for a reason :P
Adrian Matthew Poblete
She *IS* the little nightmare
The lady is her mother.
Six is the "Little Nightmare"
Meaning that she was locked for a reason.
i think that 6 is the little nightmare and was locked up for a reason
Yeah this is an interesting idea
shinji sami Makes sense.
Also, it shows what happens when you try to defy fate.
It only happened quicker.
Who knows, maybe if The Lady didn't do this to her daughter Six may have never become what she ended up becoming.
To be honest though, I personally think that was the greatest and most satisfying ending!
Those greedy pigs became dinner for her.
Irony.
However, there is no true guarantee that she is evil.
Six may have done that to the guests to put them out of their misery.
Make it quick she decided.
However, this is all just theory.
The music makes six looks like a total badass
At least the ending is better than Outlast 2
Will Glow ikr
I enjoyed the ending more...at least its ending was hinted at by documents and recordings, and themes. This one just seemed to go WTF at too quick a pace imo. I love both games though.
Will Glow Atleast Outlast was not hard to understand like this , no fucking documents or anything we dont know shit.
Ikr while in Outlast 2 you just run and run and run
Just like little nightmares dude
At first, I thought the game is like or a bit similar with the Japanese animated movie Spirited Away. Because the setting looks like a Japanese bath house or hotel to me and the monsters can smell humans just like in the movie. And when I saw the monsters coming off from a boat, kinda like in the movie too. But the ending of the game got me like, 'Oh. Nope. Too far.'
yeeess i was looking for this coment! Spirited Away FTW! :3
Marielle Reyes That's what I was just thinking about when the guest were eating and trying to get to Six.
Has anyone seen that the chefs are actually wearing masks, and every time Six eats you can see a doppelgänger of her somewhere in the scenery
There's defiantly some deeper lore behind this game
Ye o noticed that about the chefs and I didn’t understand wh y they were masks, and also I only noticed the doppelgänger when she are the nome and that doesn’t make sense to me either. Also just noticed this comment is from 3years ago oof
Or Six never hugs the gnomes but bites them, making them her minions.
The island at the end, you actually can see a similar one on top of the
"boat"/"Island" the Geisha (her mother) has, making Six the new queen on this island. The
history repeat itself?
Ok. Maybe "The MAW" only floats up to the surface to embark all
the people and the glimpse of Six at the end is just after she walked
the stairs. I do think Six and her mother are vampires though. That
would sort of explain her mother's broken mirrors and why she can't
withstand them. Six face is also mysteriously hidden throughout the whole game.
jboy dafga The comic is already out AND BEEN OUT the last 4 days!!! Go and buy it already it's only $8 and stop with the stupid fucking theories and speculations when the truth is already out there!!!!
Jay F $8 is more than a lot of people can afford to spend, and what's the harm in speculating? i enjoyed reading this, and it's interesting to see how different people's imaginations work and therefore give different views in what they think happened.
good theory
*When you realize that the game is actually 3 years old*
The Maw is very reminiscent of Miasaki's Spirited Away, and Little Nightmares does something with the ending sequence I wish more games did. The kind of power you wield is devastating and terrifying, and you can FEEL it when you play. Its tunnled progression of the slow walk through the dining hall as you kill everyone around you fills me with awe and dread, emboldened by the ominous music, and the spreading darkness as I pass. Never before have I felt so overpowering... yet at the same time, so evil, in a haunting way; mostly because you are assumed to be the victim until now.
I was going to say the same thing about Spirited Away. It's Miyazaki btw.
its just me theory but I believe Six used the powers of her mother to put the guests out of their misery because she felt bad for all the people who had to suffer that kind of torture and once she's out on the top, she uses the ship to escape to the main land where's she offically free. and for the gnomes apparently if you hug a lot of em at the end when she walks to the top they'll follow her. so maybe, the gnomes follow Six because they consider her a trustworthy friend and want to be free too so they go along with her.
and then the ship arrives. just a theory idk how true it could be
Gnome(s) : Hey look, that girl just ate one of our kind but she HUGGED us, so she is still a good person!
Hug for the win!
SuperSaiyanBlue Takeda I think she killed the guests out of revenge because of the kids
Hmm..ya know adding the janitor wrapping the kids up, the chefs cutting up meat etc. So replace the guest's misery part of my comment with yours and it makes more sense. I like that theory. It would make more sense since Six is a child.
SuperSaiyanBlue Takeda yeah I'm sure she felt bad for that gnome too after killing it instead of eating the food it was trying to hand her....six is not the good guy here
SuperSaiyanBlue Takeda or she killed them because she didn't like them
Anyone here after the 2nd game?
Yup
Indeed.. Watched the whole gameplay from start to finish and theory about the ending. Then I came here haha
So what bothers me is that I haven't seen anyone attempt to open the wardrobe in the geisha's room. I mean it is technically lit up and there is a chair you can move all the way to there to create a platform to jump onto the knobs. I'd like to know if it is even possible
Nitrorad tried... it won't open
aw... okay. I was hoping for something more interesting though
Thank you that was driving me crazy, it looked like you could open it.
Sum Won RIGHT!
When is the comic book coming out?
The first issue is out May 3.
OH MY GOD IT IS
Link to the first issue of the comic. There are three more issues coming - titan-comics.com/c/949-little-nightmares-1-little-nightmares/
DrDogg thanks
only 3 pages? damn
Hey you! Yes you! Notice me! If you have played or have watched someone play the game remember the hunger scenes? Well if pay close attention to the background you can find someone watching you I don't really know who's watching but if you've seen it, it looks like a more evil looking Six the idk it kind of resembles the protagonist's features.
Where is the person at?
That explains a lot thank you so much love the channel
it should be a little longer game if you ask me :D
...Pause?
Well theres dlcs so i guees it is longer
ok, i have another theory
What if six is the lady herself?
I mean, after LNM2, she was teleported back by a transmission, but it can be any timeline right? (As we know, mono transmitted to future to unlock the door for thin mono & thin mono travelled back in time to stop mono by transmission)
That's why she had nightmare of her evil future self after what she had done to mono, and to satisfy her new hunger, she had to kill & eat childens or even the guests who she invited, so she started this prison-motel. & the reason she wears a mask, bcz if she looks at herself at the mirror, it reminds her of her pastself, what horrible things she has done at the past,
It could be another time loop paradox
Just a theory
How did past mono know to unlock the door for future thin mono? And also get scared when he saw him
@@itsyaboiskeletor3983
Future thin mono might have manipulated young mono to do so through the transmission
@@dr.zishan5822 ok and how did present six know about the lady (her future self) and her ability to absorb living things.
@@itsyaboiskeletor3983
just like mono had a vision /nightmare about future self thin mono
Six might also had a vision / nightmare about future self thr lady
Maybe because the paradox have been going on for so many times it caused this memory/nightmare to it’s younger selves
And about the ability to absorb living energy, i think she already got that after she was kidnapped by thin mono, while her soul was separated, or she was terned into the monster or after she escaped the tower through the transmission to meet her shadow, maybe that's why she was able to absorb the energy from the nome who offered her sausage rather than eating the sausage even before she defeated the lady.. Her power was further amplified after she eaten the lady (her future self) & got her power.. That's why it would be another paradox
why is six so small like if she's 9 she should at least be as tall as the her mom's mirror
Austin Stodghill I believe the game is from the view point of a child, where everything seems bigger than us.
+SuperSaiyanBlue Takeda o thx
Winters Strom When extremely young children are starved a lot, they become malnourished. Their minds and brains expand but their bodies hardly grow. I might be wrong but that's why I think Six is so small. She is always straving. She even eats a Keemstar!
This is the first actual explanation I got! Thanks
I got some Spirited Away vibes while trying to not get eaten by the guests
6 looks awsome at the ending scene
Mirrors are not just about reflection or obsession with personal beauty...they are considered windows into the spirit world. It could be the mirrors are also important to the Lady's survival in some way, like perhaps a Horcrux.
Cried at the end of the DLC. outstanding art
Really appreciate work like this. Totally caught me off guard man. I was like “noooo”.
10/10
I finally understand now! Thank you!
I loved the game and the atmosphere of this game and the theories of the story only make it even better! My own interpretation after having heard several theories, I have drawn as a conclusion the "moral of the story" or "the critic about reality" that the history of the game passes according to the possibly true theories. That the game shows how much children can be consumed by adults. Both in beauty (the lady does not want to see anyone be more beautiful than her and tries to destroy it and "feed" to herself seeing obese guests destroying their bodies feeding themselves with any kind of food). What about the insatiable greed for food (that it would be a reflection of how you can lose control with food and do not feel pretty and that hits your physical health that made you insecure and destroy the health of your body in food, or, as the lady (possible mother of six) got lost with the inflated ego in beauty. so I interpreted as if these issues of beauty and obesity, gluttony for power, end up being something that can CONSUMING KIDS (Eat children, Devour children, understood the reference? Haha!) and then the adults end up making children grow up with this issues and consume it too, ending up becoming something bad (equal to six became the final). And about the little gnomes would be something like a materialization of what is left of these children who are in the Maw. This would be the representation of innocence and fear of any child (because the gnomes are harmless and fearful right? And as soon as they get some act of affection (the fact of six hug them) they decide to follow you like any scared child would!) And that's all folks! This is my own conclusion leading with reality about this awesome game. If you've read this far, please let me know and tell me what you think about it or just to say about the fact that I'm crazy for seeing this things in the game! Thanks! And sorry for my inglesh. I'm a Brazillian
Wow you really thought a lot about it, that makes a lot of sense especially about the gnomes.
Twotermzz Thanksss
What about the little statues you can find in the second half of the game, where if you break them that wispy dark stuff comes out?
Interestingly enough, there's some apparent foreshadowing early on in the game where you encounter the very first statue (voodoo doll?) of The Lady. Right opposite the statue there's a beam of light shining down in the centre of the room; at the end of the game The Lady's ultimate demise is LIGHT. I wonder if anything happens if you place/throw the statue at the beginning into the beam of light.
Thanks for the explaination
Never get tired of that ending sequence. So powerful and ominous. I wish more games ended that way.
I love this story. Yet I just found out about this gammeee
this game was actually such an amazing game. I just finally got Outlast trilogy not too long ago and have started playing horror games and this game beats Resident Evil 7 and Outlast, all of them. and for the price of $20 so worth it. definitely gonna play through it again this coming weekend. This game had me hooked. and reminds me SO much of the movie spirited away, and the music was fantastic. Might have to download the Album. The ending was SICK too. Just wish I knew you could hug the gnomes when you saw them. I didn't know that til the second to last one. next playthrough I'm definitely gonna look for all of the collectibles as well. Favorite part was definitely the kitchen. The twins kill me, haha. Can't wait for a part 2 or DLC.
finally a four minute video describing the lore instead of a 13-20 minute video
Thanks for explaining
You can see an evil ghostly six watch you each time you eat!
Six is the lady
Hope I wasn't the only one to jump in my chair when that spooky lady's face suddenly appeared to chase you in the dark room.
In all the sequence starving you can see Evil Six as an E
easter egg. Moving your camera when Six is eating you can see the Evil in the corner or the top of some places
I think we are all looking into this very incorrectly. I feel it has to do with the seven deadly sins. The Geisha women is Envy because she discards six since six is beautiful and despises anyone else who is more beautiful than her. The guests are gluttony who over indulge on the fine life on this ship. one brother is sloth (the one that was sleeping) the other brother may be pride since he is diligently focused on his cooking which allows you to slip away. Six herself is wrath, the shadow six is lust since they constantly watch six. And the only thing that leaves left is the janitor which is most likely greed since he tries so hard to get you in the end and ends up losing his arms(not to mention the comic says he collects things)
Here's the theory from IndieObscura:
*Because of the experience Six has suffered through aboard The Maw, her resulting violence and insatiable hunger transforms her into (as the game’s title states) a “Little Nightmare.”*
+MICHAEL JACKSON That's interesting.
great explanation
This is so nice
The ending is really inspirational because Six had to go through all those monsters, hardships and obstacles to finally become powerful and invincible.
Me knowing about the hideaway dlc: hehehe. You fool. The gnomes are children cursed by the lady
This was a pretty good game. Should be a part two
In the music at the end you can hear a faint humming which i think sounds like the lady when she hums but I have no idea if it means anything.
I think six got locked up in maw for a reason.Little nightmares, the only little thing in game was six.Maybe she's the nightmare??
Oh
Except "Little Nightmares" is in plural form.
Pepe Walnuts In the comic book photos that were released, it shows 5 other girls who look just like 6, so that might explain that. curiouser and curiouser as Alice might say - i bloody love this game and the way it's showing us how everyone's minds work
What I am still wondering is why do the chef's wear masks? When they are searching for you, you can see under their masks a bit.
I think the game is based heavily on Japanese culture, perhaps the beings who sport masks are a representation of the Yokai, not to mention The Lady is reminiscent of a Geisha, oh, and the whole guest area resembles a Japanese style hotel or a bath house.
thx I need an explain you guys are great I need to know all that information
Interesting I'm subed.
what if the she isn't upset about beauty its just she is sensitive to light when it is reflected by a mirror by breaking the mirror she can stop the light reflecting from it but still see fragments of her own refection
Beyond Cody that's not as interesting though
mirrors reflets her spells back. its easy
Ed Rix its not really that easy, through the last battle you hear her getting hurt so the mirrors do effect her and if she didn't like how she looks why keep mirrors in the first place, why hasn't she removed them, if she can't bare how ugly she looks why keep a reminder plus she has a photo of herself, if I don't like how I look I wouldn't want a photo to remind me unless she Isnt not ugly
Justin Field just say I'm right about the mirror thing I think people could figure out a more interesting theory, like six ran away because she discovered what is really going to happen to her and has been planing an escape for a while but if you want another snow white copycat then it's okay
hopefully this really is what happen
6 seems to be humming the same song as the Gashie (no idea how to spell it) lady at the end when she took her powers, I wonder if the song has anything to do with her power?
I think the reason why the mirrors are actually broken is because (if Six is the Lady's daughter) is so Six doesn't find out that she's prettier than her mom. I mean, look, when you're in the Lady's room, every mirror is broken except the one she's looking at. Another 2 reasons to back this up is that we don't know how long she's been in the suitcase bed and there's no mirrors there too.
Just a thought
Who was that hanged man at the beginning?
The dad? He looks to be the same general size as the lady.
I think its just there for creepy effect and were over thinking it :D
@@0hnutty455 but this is the only normal men on the ship
I didn't know they were eating children 😳
Just a theory, it might not be true.
i love the fact that a lot of explanation vids of this game use Markipliers gameplay
This is just a theory but the beginning cutscene might be the lady gaining her powers, since it's incredibly similar to when Six gains them from her, and Six was having a nightmare about it.
I know that no one will probably read this but here is my take away from all the story; you need to clearly apply Japanese fables to it. I do not think it is the allegory to something, it is simply story based on Japan culture. The lady is clearly obsessed with a look and either try to make everyone fat and ugly so she would be pretty or she wants them all to die so she could feed on their life force to be more pretty. Guests themselves might be sinful of sloth and gluttony as a place could be some sort of "hell realm" for ones who are wrong of gluttony and sloth. That is very simple. Now, onto the main character (I believe that it is the girl so I will refer to her as she) and who she might be. First of all, I do not think she is evil; she might be Soul Eater or something along those lines. First of all, it ties in; Banshee and related life sucking create in Japanese culture are mostly females. It would also make sense with how she 'eats'; she never devours that rat, gnome or either the lady. Instead, she sucks their blood/life force. Sure, I still can't explain potato/bread at beginning, but I still have 3 occasions out of 4 to support me. Short story long, our character is equivalent of death spirit. It could be that lady was never her mother, but instead caught her and locked her to use her powers to then suck life energy and always be young. And you try to get to her to kill her and get your own powers back. This is all rather unstable and I still have no idea about who gnomes are (they could be children but why would they be there?) so feel free to comment if you even will see this comment. Ye. ヽ( ・∀・)ノ
Ram Kitten I'm not saying your wrong to draw that conclusion (I actually like that connection). But, the story can stand fine on its own for people who don't want to look into japanese mythology.
When it comes to writing, the audience should be able to draw their own connections and conclusions when it comes to meanings.
I mean, people surely can tell what they think that is. I am just sharing my own opinion :^)
I know this might be too late, but please split the texts, I know it would be exactly the same content, but right now it might be somewhat hard to digest when you are trying to read as many theories as you can :P
I feel like this would make a great movie
It would but like imgine it i would watch it also the ending would look good in a movie thethor
I had a weird ending where all those guys you save follow you outside and I don't know what the hell the dolls do.
this was helpful to know this ending being explained because when I saw the ending myself the first time it made no sense to me
repeat six three times.
Alicia is an Otaku 😂😂😂😂
Alicia is an Otaku well you got 6 likes
fuck off satan
I won't like this comment just so it can say 6 forever.
I went with a more realistic approach and there isint actually a ship in this Theory because it's a figment of imagination but here it is My take on this is your a child who instead of this demonic place that you see is actually in the real world and what you see and what happens is the child's over exaggeration of all the messed up things that's happening in the beginning the setting is the street you see the child wander around and the child gets hungry and you see a man throw a piece of bread and not help in any other way then you get hungry agin and you are captured by the child predator(monster with long arms) but you escape throughout all this you have a friend who helps you along the way (the small creature) then you go into the kitchen this is where it gets harder to understand but my best guess is you are trying to steal food from a restaurant and attacked when you try to do so then you see your friend who is just trying to help you but you turn on it and hurt it this can be related to real life because often with orphans or the abused they develop mental disorders and end up physically hurting the ones they care for. Then you go to where i assume home is and that monster that everyone call the mother is probably either the child's real mom or foster mom either way it is a abusive mom and you definitely get that kind of feel with the mom being happy when your unnoticed but when recognized you are attacked if you look around you see broken mirrors probably because the mom has mental disorders of its own and it doesn't like to look at itself maybe dealing with self esteem I also feel that the mom wasn't always bad but something happened with the father dying of divorcing her causing her to lose confidence and turn her evil then you shine the mirror at the mom exposing to her what she really is and defeats her when you see the child eat the mom and gain its powers it shows the child becoming more hateful and messed up when the child walks through and kills all the monsters it means the child has become stronger from all of the life lessons and experiences but in the process of gaining power it became a monster worse than all of its villains combined
Rylan Herring would of actually read if there was some sort of punctuation.
agreed
Rylan Herring 😳
let me stop you there, "More realistic approach"
What is that instrument called that is playing when sasha was walking past the guests? It starts at 3:17 and it gets louder and it stops at 3:42. SOMEONE please tell me what that it i really wanna know
dang, now i have to play the kid's story and then little nightmares 2
What a vain mother! Why would she want to imprison her daughter coz she's prettier than her? I thought she would be happy to spread a beautiful genes to her daughter, her own flesh and blood who will carry her family name! Maybe even grant her her own powers! Weird woman!
it's a theory, it could be false
still a weird theory though...
didn't know til now that there was a prequel comic book comin out. thats pretty cool!!
Interesting can’t wait to play part 2
Haven't played this game, but the maw looks eerily similar to rapture when above sea level
Anyone else notice when you walk down the hallway, you not only hum the same tune your mother did, but the tune is sped up. if you were to slow down the humming in the hallway to the same speed as the humming your mother did, its the same three notes being put down. Its because Six is younger, i believe, that her tune is able to change so easily.
This actually makes a lot of sense! Definately a surprising and interesting ending to this game, and I kinda like how Six became sort of an antihero, taking revenge on everyone!
Little Nightmares II , the game that we need the most
best explanation so far yoou forgot to mention the hanging body from one room i think that couldve been the ladys husband who killed himself maybbe not sure
I don't know if this is an oversight by the developer but when the janitor's arms are cut off, you can see that the arms actually hollow
maybe that means something?
Reminds me of the song that plays on the easter egg ending of silent hill downpour, Here be monsters
no one notices the shadow sixes. you can see a shadow six everytime you eat. it's specially apparent when you eat the nome as the camera even zooms out a bit to make sure you catch one glimpse of it
My theory now after Little Nightmares 2 is that six was captured by the hunter in the forest, Mono saw it and came to rescue her. And so the story plays on and in the end, Six leaves Mono for dead because she feared him, and when she returns her soul belongs to the radio tower, and her hunger in the first game represents it, so the reason why she ate the lady and the gnome was because she needed life force and a '' soul ''.
the ending is bad ass and the song fits the mood just right
also every time six eats for example the first time, on the top right on the object you see a evil dark version of her and this happens every time just keep a look out next time you see or play the game!!
A very interesting theory! I like it.
I love the way little 6 laid waste to everyone in her path on her way up the stairs to fulfill her destiny...being the controller of another vessel perhaps?
Got it on sale on switch recently for $10!
What a game
What a game..... 👊🏼✔️
the ending made me hungry
I just noticed that when six is stealing the life force of the other passengers she is humming. Like the lady does. The same melody but in a different pitch and tempo. If you think about it it's kinda creepy. You know with the rumor going around saying that the lady is six's mother.
This is one of favorite games of all time and I cant explain it though I know I like it for some of the reasons I like games like sally face
Wow this whole The Lady and Six being her daughter thing was a theory out of nowhere, but I really like it. Not sure about the daughter part because I think the gnomes are not people, but still awesome theory, and what is this about a comic?
There's a drawing of Six in the dining hall part. It's on a crate before you have to run on the table to get past the guests.
Hello! Can you make an update on this when the comic comes out? Please and give link
you know maybe that one small mirror in the loft is six's mirror and the geisha just keeps it as a reminder of her daughter.
