@computerkid108 After the third Ge - Ge you must wait one beat, then go into the tihai. The last Jha of the tihai takes the place of the first Ta of the mantra Ta Khe Ta Ge Ge.
dear abhijit, thanx a lot for this basic classes, I can improve from thevery few things I learned in Vrindavan where I purchased my khol. It helps a lot for kirtan evening we give with my husband, here in France. this is a beautiful offering.
Suppose you are playing the kaherva mantra as follows: Ta Khe -- Khe Ta Ge Ge After the tihai (in the video description) you would then play the following: Jha Khe -- Khe Ta Ge Ge There is no change to the tihai itself. It is the first beat of the kaherva mantra AFTERWARDS that is modified.
@FrankMustaine I definitely would NOT recommend putting any greasy substance on the drum. I doubt it would have any beneficial effects, and it will probably damage the drum.
Haribol, I am learning your course from a long time and getting benefited. I am trying to learn more if there be any advance course. If there any online classes for admission, I can do that. Thank you sir
Make sure you aim properly so that the base of the finger is the part that contacts the rim of the drum. Watch yourself (in a mirror if necessary) to get the aim right.
haribol prahbu! I have seen another video on google where visvimbha prabhu play. he mentioned. khe ta khe ta jha is it the same? thank you so much. it would be nice if u can demonstrate of teach from slow to fast beat kirtan on mrdanga, the transition i mean. Haribol!
HAri bol! WOnderful videos thank you so much for sharing. I'm trying to get the transition between the Ta - Khe -- Khe - Ta - Ge - Ge and the tihai however it's quite hard. After the third Ge - Ge do you immediately start the Ta-- Khe - Ta Jha? does the last ta of the tihai also represent the first ta of the orignal mantra? or after the last ta do you play another ta to start the mantra over again? Hare krsna,
