Best pictures I've seen yet of the operation but accompanied by ill-researched captions.
Even the title is wrong. The bridge didn't explode! It collapsed after the MV Dali impacted one of the primary piers. There was no explosion until the shaped charges were used to cut up the larger bridge sections.
Exactly!!
WTF??? At 1:05, you state in the scrolling text that an investigation will begin to determine the cause of the "explosion" and the accident. First of all, the investigation *started* the day of the disaster and the preliminary investigative report was released a couple days ago. 2nd, there was no "explosion". There was a failure of the generator engines and circuit breakers were tripped resulting in loss of control over the ship. They ruled out bad or contaminated diesel fuel but only that. In addition, they released a complete timeline of the actions of the senior pilot, junior pilot and the crew.
The explosion was to demolish the bridge.
@@stephentresca3536 You don't "investigate" a controlled series of explosions. The explosion he says happened is just made up shit.
I've heard that there were 4 power failures, 2 in port and 2 under way. This is the first I've heard of an explosion other than the controlled detonation to remove the span that fell on the bow of the ship. I think I want some of whatever you're smoking.
I don't want to smoke anything that makes me that stupid....
From the report, the issues in port were mechanical (generator servicing), whereas those under way were electrical (transformer circuit breaker trip, and later transformer and generator trip).
Hats off to the men and women that are working in Baltimore. They’re doing a fantastic job. Also, how could I be able to watch this page because it’s more detailed and thank you for the the men and women working at the dollies site. They’re doing a fantastic job hats off to them.
Good video content spoiled by inaccurate and incorrect comments and subtitles.
Don’t read them
Wow. A great job by all the crews!
Thanks for these informations via this clip! Best regards from Germany!
Okay ❤
I would have expected that with the resources available in the United States that faster progress would have been achieved!
CORRUPTION ON GOVERNMENT JOBS
Ship's owner footing some of the bill, they can afford to take their time.
God bless. All of you!!!!!!
Thanks
Great footage of the Riggers at work. Thanks.
I was fascinated by the place.
wow....what the heck was on that BIG spool of BIG somethin'???? Didn't look like any line I've ever seen, or wire rope!! tanx, anyone :-)))
Love the videos ....please post more ..thank you
Towards the end of the large debris an underwater electro magnet could be very useful for the smaller stuff.
the bridge didnt explode genius
Actually, it did. You were just not paying any attention to what has been going on since the original collision.

I would very respectfully ask if the proper phrasing of the English Language could be used here ? specifically where the name of the vessel is used. The vessel's correct name is the "Dali" that's all. Referring to the "Dali Ship" is incorrect and should not be used. Thank You.
This is a dangerous job.
There were not "Explosions" The Main propulsion Diesel is direct reversing without any kind of reversing gear. To back up the Main Engine must be stopped then the engine is started in reverse direction. The problems were the switching gear and electrical buss transfer bar. I'm a former AE Engineer, USMM.
For a supposedly important port there seems to me to be such a lack of urgency , nearly two months in and the ship is still there .
The Chinese would have had the wreckage cleared and bridge rebuilt in a fortnight ..
But for red tape would've had it all done in a couple of weeks 😮,
That red tape that you refer to saves peoples' lives! Safety is paramount. The planning alone would take several weeks for SAFETY PURPOSES.
@@scotbeve591 didn't save the 6 on the bridge 🌉
Even with specialised equipment this is going to take quite a while to clear up this mess!
Excellent video 👍😎✊
Thank u brodhers
Julius Caesar built a 1300 foot bridge across the Rhine river in 10 days, his army of 40,000 men crossed it, engaged the enemy and then retreated and disassembled the bridge 18 days later to prevent the Germanic tribes from using it.
Julius Caesar didn’t need to file an environmental impact statement, send out for at least three bids and have government inspectors from different agencies with different agendas to deal with,

When will they begin to move the ship dolly
The cause of the EXPLOSION!??? Lmao 🤣🤣
I dont see how a wrecking ball can be of much use in water.
I did not know the bridge EXPLODED!
They blew up the wreckage of the bridge with a controlled explosion.
@@derekn5632 YOU DIM WIT.......WAKE UP..........
Blew up apportion on the bridge that was laying on the ship I know it sounds strange but that's what they did
Most of the news about this are about the accident, the removal of the bridge pieces, the cause of the engine failure and the ship. What's going on with the design process to rebuild the bridge? Who is charge of that? Have they released an RFP for bids? Is there a timeline on its re-construction?
I think it was a ship that identified as a ship too
There will not be anymore "environmental impact' later , then there is now. Come on.
What explosion? When? before the crash?
The bridge that fell on Dali's ship a few days ago was destroyed by explosion. Now continue cleaning up the scattered debris
There was a controlled demolition blast set off yesterday (5/15/24) to sever the main section of bridge still resting on the Dali. There are tons of videos of it.

@@militarysoldier85 No need to investigate a Controlled detonation.....
I can't imagine the cost $.
Think of the lost costs that the port is losing because of no traffic in and out and employees not being able to work. This is peanuts.
What "explosion"?
Look in the description of this video there is a link to the video of the bridge explosion on the Dali ship
Ok I am done an out of this. All money of mine is now as of now stopped .."."
Why do they drop this weight in the water?
Probably a big magnet to pick up debris 🤔
Could be to bust up road deck underwater?
So sad to see and hear about the loss of life all because of mistake or was it RIP
Yeah

The thing running at the bottom of the screen is totally annoying. Ottherwise good video
next time the text given doesn't run that way again
Scrolling text isn’t that bad ab issue. Adds to video
Great shots. Actual work happening. 👍
No problem with text rolling at bottom, at least it explain what happening
Rare that actual work getting done.
what explosion are you talking about? The damage was done by the collision.
DARRRRRRRRRRRRRR
They used explosives to break up the bridge over the ship. There’s video of it.

Hire more DEI employees, and more bridges will fall..! (However this bridge was intentionally destroyed, because of it's name!)
FACT BOMB. Francis Scott Key was a powerful Maryland attorney and District Attorney in Washington D.C. He suppressed abolitionists and fought for the rights of slave owners to recapture their runaway slaves. At his death in 1843, Scott still owned 8 slaves.
Sorry so many troll replies to your video seems they don’t grasp what is going on there, some of the best close up footage shown thanks 👍🏼
Then bridge DID NOT EXPLODE, they used demolition charges to break it up into pieces... BASIC EFFING ENGLISH....

Who writes this crap??!?
Slowest cleanup ever....
@js-wq6zy This is a very difficult job, for many reasons. Just the fact that this is a marine operation, increases the hazards and difficulty. Are you noticing all the heavy, bent or mangled pieces of steel? Also a huge amount of the wreckage is underwater. Some of the equipment being deployed is not ideal for this job ( that’s my opinion). The Chesapeake 1000 has done an excellent job ( before it was attached to the huge grapple). The problem is it can’t revolve ( slewing ability). So every pick it makes requires repositioning, in order to offload onto a barge. This kind of operation would go along much faster in a 3rd world country. But guess what? A whole bunch of workers would be injured or killed for the sake of speed. We don’t work that way anymore in the USA. Workers expect to go home to their families at the end of the day. Bottom Line is: This Is NOT the type of job where the emphasis should be speed.
Scrolling text is jerky and headache inducing.
