So Awesome! I'm getting all kinds of ideas. I work with Alzheimer patients as their nurse, I also spend time doing crafts and games with them. I think they would love making the inside of their own bottle to put in their windows in their rooms. Love this. Thank you so much!
They are both so pretty! What possibilities for a romantic accent! I can see matching a bathroom theme with the flower choice and having this on a bathtub ledge as a romantic touch or even as beautiful "nightlights".
I love your videos. They're the reason I can successfully decoupage a number of things. This, by far, is my favorite. I can't wait to try this. Thank you so much for sharing your talent.
I don't even know how to make these astonishing creations yet I'm still just blown away.... Just watching your videos everyday puts me at ease and relaxes me..
+carmen tyson Right Carmen? I had a cat once who was always jumping in my lap as I worked with glitter so I wanted to name her glitter but thought it wasn't quite right for her. My Mother was Italian and she was the one who started me on all of the glitter-she was in love with it and made all of our holidays magic! So I looked up Glitter in Italian and it's spelled like the scouring pads Brillo, but it's pronounced Bree - Low. That's what I named her and we all called her Bree. Everyone thought I named her after the cheese. :) Patti
Thank you for that website!!!!! The prices are great!! I usually have to pay almost the same amount for shipping as the product. This is a great site, Ty.
+Vickie Murray I would love to see them in a sun room, what a great idea! The bathroom too, since most of them do have windowsills that have a lot of sunlight coming through them. Thank you Vickie! Patti
Hi Patti This has got to be one of my favorite projects so far. I am loving those glitter bottles. I am going to make some. I love them both, the larger and the smaller one. What a cool project. I do have glycerin but not that much to make a large bottle like that. When the girls were smaller we made glitter bottles with oil and water. I love your nail polish color*** and I really enjoy getting a glimpse into your yard to see your plants and flowers and birds, squirrels and dear :) Your flowers are so much farther along then mine are enjoy this gorgeous chilly day Patti deezie
+deezie Wow, thank you Deezie! It's funny how my nails were accidentally matching my image that I printed out-and thank you for saying that by the way! I think I remember something in my past about glitter in oil - I'm sure my Mom was up to something with the glitter-she started me on my love of it. It is interesting how just a little farther south from us the flowers are blooming even more. I woke up one morning and said, "I smell Lilacs!" It's been so chilly I wasn't expecting them. I loved this gorgeous chilly day! It was actually overcast and I took a friend of mine to lunch for his birthday, we sat on the water but inside, along the Delaware River. It was a really nice time! I loved being all wrapped up in my grey flannel jacket with the fleece on the inside. I would have sat outside but my friend was too chilly for that. LOL. Doing anything for the weekend Deezie?
+patioelf Sounds like a really nice time* I can't imagine that there are lilac's blooming yet its been so chilly, I can't wait for them. I have two new lilacs this year, a purple and a white. They are small though but I think I will see a few flowers from them. Nothing planned for the weekend. I think I may hit Hobby lobby, I love being home so its always okay when we don't go anywhere. We have lots of outside projects we are working on so we may tackle one of them depending on the weather :) what about you? deezie
+deezie It was a very nice time. We also have purple or lavender colored lilacs and one white shrub. The white doesn't produce as many flowers as the purple for some odd reason. I love Hobby Lobby, I can't believe they even carry stained glass supplies. I was taking courses in stained glass a few years back but talk about expensive! And unless I was going to make a living out of it, it was way too expensive to have as just a hobby. Decoupage is way more my speed. My husband has been having asthma attacks over night, and the room he works out in (with lots of heavy breathing and your pores all being open) has an ancient rug in it. Since it's a guest room that's never used we haven't paid much attention to the rug. I don't usually get to a point where I almost demand something like this but for his health, I told him we have got to get that rug out. He finally agreed since the Dr is baffled too. She said his lung capacity is great, he doesn't have asthma yet he keeps having asthma attacks. She wanted him to get this whole battery of tests but even he said, "I am not going to spend all of the money when it could just be the ancient rug. Even the Dr said it's a good possibility" . So we went out to shop for a new floor (hardwood) for that room. I love doing things like that for the house so I had a great time. Although we stopped in Starbucks and this very tall and very drunk young guy walked up to me and said, "Can I ask you for some money?" it was really odd Deezie. I didn't want any trouble and this kid was falling over he was so wasted. I knew if we said no, (my husband was with me) he wasn't going to like it, so my husband leaned in and politely said, "We don't carry cash on us" The guy then said, "Can you buy me some coffee or lunch?" Again, no. He then grabbed the butt of this young girl who walked by him and stared at her like he was going to pounce! They had to call the cops on him. We got our drinks and left but that wasn't going to be pretty. I feel bad for cops these days with all of the tension going on. The area we were in was a little diverse? So it can always get dicey these days -it's a shame. Anyway, we're home now, I'm going to spend an hour or two on Pinterest to get inspiration for this weeks video ( i have no idea what it is yet) then I'm going to find a new K drama since my 50 episode one ended last night. I always miss the characters when the drama ends, it's like I think, "I wonder how they'll do now" as if the character was real..LOL/ oh well. Hope you get some gardening done! We're supposed to get a lot of rain tomorrow and it's going to be chilly. We've already decided we'll be staying in tomorrow. :) Patti
+patioelf Patti, that is so funny what happened in Starbucks* Well not funny but funny. I don't know what I would have done if that were me. You both did the right thing to just get him going and moving on. so funny. We went to Hobby lobby this morning and then went to a few tag sales and then came home. We have been outside all day. Not good for my allergies but its so nice out. Rob had to fix the top step in the back and 2 bunny cages so I hung out side and puttered around. So did taking the rug up help? maybe it had mold in it that you couldn't see and maybe he is allergic to mold. I don't have asthma either but if I am around certain things I get like that, sort of like an asthma attack. I hope the rug being gone takes care of that. He we have a workout room too** Do you have an art/craft room? or do you just craft everywhere? We have 4 bedrooms so I made one of them my art room. How is the downstairs coming along? did you get a headboard? Rob is going to look for me tonight to see if we can get those drama shows. So funny how you feel when the show ends. I would feel the same way. I didn't know it was suppose to rain tomorrow. I love staying in when it rains. enjoy your night Patti deezie
Hey Deezie, I'm working on this weeks video and while it's drying I thought I would head on over to youtube,...Love seeing messages from you. :) That thing in Starbucks had me a little scared (which is a good thing-I become fearless when I'm angered by someone and I think more clearly-normally I'm a pushover really) I was being careful because this guy was clearly really messed up, way taller than us, and he could have easily had a weapon on him. So we were careful, and luckily he moved on. I LOVE Hobby Lobby which I've probably mentioned a few times, but I haven't been there in a while. Before I forget, have you tried to find Monica the Medium on TV? She's on Monday nights. I'll watch any Medium except I didn't like that Silvia Brown woman at all. Didn't believe her, didn't like her personality and I wouldn't watch her. It's adorable that you have Bunny cages! I keep joking with my husband that I want a micro pig or goat, I think the pigs may get larger than Micro but they are supposed to be highly intelligent. I'm not sure how our dogs would react but I would think they would treat it like a new puppy. Cautious then protective as it becomes part of the pack. Have you seen any pictures of them? I'm sure Pinterest has either Micro goats or micro pigs on the site. Adorable! We selected the floor but my husband tends to drag his feet when it comes to spending money. It is the ONLY time he ever drags his feet but I understand. He has a few customers that owe him a lot of money and one in particular is paying him this week, he said once he pays him he will go and order the floor. I'm so excited. (by the way, I"m SURE it has mold in it. ) Of course you have a work out room LOL/ That room used to be my craft room but I didn't like it. It's the one room in the back corner of the house so it gets none of the sunlight during the seasons when there's shade in the yard. The room is chilly since there is no basement underneath it. I just didn't like it much. I bought a table and chairs, a pub table I think it's called? It's a tall table with bar stools, that I put in the kitchen inside of the bay window area. Natural light, TV in the kitchen and it's my own little space. The down side is that while I'm taking 3 days to work on the video, that area can get really artsy, that's a much better word than messy right? But I just tell people, that's where I make the magic. Also one of the reasons I thought it would be amazing to have an RV, fix it up and work in it. Deezie, I thought I responded to this already but I don't see my message anywhere. I remember we talked about the headboard, but maybe that was on Facebook? LOL/ who knows? We've got a lot of rain coming in this week. I went to bed with a headache (which I never get) then woke up with a throbbing head ache. I stayed in bed so as not to stand up and feel it..After 9 am I finally got out of bed, still not feeling great. I took some extra Reishi or I should say I took some Reishi today and I'll continue it until I feel better. Chicken soup for lunch too. Alrighty Deezie, I'm off! Enjoy your day... Patti
Its so beautiful. Im going to make it as soon,as ive everything standby. An image of myself, glue, glass crystals, glitters, led, bottle. Will decoupage floral paper napkin for both sides. Think sheer metallic paint and Elmer Glue are not sold here. I made my own glue. Can i use argylic paint or nail polish? With much thanks.
Hi Monique and thank you! I am putting a new website together (no easy task) and I'll be adding a section just for pictures where I'll post some of the ways I have reused the bottles. I have used them for mouth wash, for oil and vinegar, for toner (I like a pretty bottle on my make up vanity) and I'll even pour my husbands Witch Hazel into a prettier bottle. For the jars, I store foods inside of them, in the pantry and the fridge, I also use them for cotton balls, make up brushes, change jars and sometimes I'll use one as a container for leftovers for a dinner guest. They love when I do that! Patti
Omg!!!! Thank you soooo much Pati. Can you cover more decorative corks and tops for them too. I love this channel and I think its awesome to be able to find everything I need in one place. Your site. Thank you again
you're so sweet Monique. I will do some more decorative corks...I can't say when-I have a few other videos set up to do over the next few weeks. But I would love to make some more-and of course I'll record it. :) Patti
Thank you Barbieivy.. Yes, I do have a video for that-here is that video...one thing before you watch it though, I have learned that it is best to cover the bottles with a good quality high gloss clear spray once they dry. ua-cam.com/video/VN1VAFHnBo0/v-deo.html Patti
HELP! I tried finding the LED circular lights for bottles on your website, but could not find them! Would really like at least 1! Thanks! Love your creations! ❤️
I love the idea and I've fallen in love with using rice paper.....Patti I have a question about top coats. I use both triple thick and Mod Podge super glossy. Have either of these top coat change to an orangey color?! I make the Christmas village house like you and several of them have an 'orange tinges" once they have dried. Initially I thought it was the pink glitter, but I eliminated that, could it be I've put too much on?!I would appreciate any thoughts you may have. I have also experienced color changes with some napkins after using the top coats.....Many Thanks Marcia
+Marcia Jones Hi Marcia ! I am sorry that happened with your work! I have had trouble ONLY when using red or deep burgundy colored napkins but it's not all the time. I did a lovely Christmas project and it turned all orange, yuck! From then on I tested any napkin that had red on it. Turns out some of them turned orange and some did not! Must be two different types of ink they are using for reds? I can't figure it out. But you're not alone. I haven't had trouble with any other colors. Did you use any red in your Christmas houses? I don't know if you put any of your work in the oven but I've found that top coats can change color if they go in the oven so I never do that anymore... I also suspect that Triple Thick may have something to do with it. I love Triple Thick but for some reason I seem to recall a problem in the past but it wasn't consistent enough for me to stop using it. Maybe if it dries near heat? Too much heat? Do you use the Mod Podge super Glossy spray on top coat? You've got me curious now. :) please let me know if any of this makes sense to you ok? Thanks Marica! Patti
I have used both triple thick and Mod Podge Glossy brush on type. I don't put top coat in the oven, and the houses dry in in average house temperature. Maybe I've put too much on; I also have a heavy hand. Now I am afraid to use either!!!!!.....I'd rather not go back to polyurethane, but you need a top coat! Thanks for input it all made sense!!! Thx again Patti, Marcia
Why do u need a top coat on everything? Isn't it sealed by the glue. Sorry so new to this I've painted my first item with the white chalk board paint and hope to decoupage it tomorrow. Thanks Kristie
hai pati, can you give us tips how too make glue for decoupage because it will be more cheap than we buy it from on line shop. thank you i hope you can give me solution
Hello Henny, some people use white craft glue mixed with a little water. (Like Elmers Glue) You can also google "how to make your own decoupage glue" There are a lot of good recipes out there! Hope this helps Henny! Patti
+Lorraine Hoffman The decoupage glue will say napkin or serviette decoupage glue on the jar. Viva Decor makes an excellent one and you can find another good one here on my website. upcyclewithdecoupage.vpweb.com/blog/2016/04/28/DIY-Decoupaged-Hydrangea-Glitter-Liquor-Bottle-.aspx :) Patti
Hello Tahira...for some reason this message went into a spam folder, sorry I'm so late. Are you in the US? You can buy napkins here: If these are not the ones you want, please search for the specific items. Like Hydrangea napkins, French themed napkins etc. Heres a link to buy ...amzn.to/2hOMVa2 Patti
Omgosh there is not enought glitter in the world!!!! Glitter makes everything better! I can't help but smile and say oooooo thats so pretty!
So Awesome! I'm getting all kinds of ideas. I work with Alzheimer patients as their nurse, I also spend time doing crafts and games with them. I think they would love making the inside of their own bottle to put in their windows in their rooms. Love this. Thank you so much!

Hi Patti, this is a beautiful project, and I agree you can never have too much glitter!

This would look amazing with a galaxy design! I love your bottles!
GORGEOUS! Love the bottle LED lights! ❤️
Absolutely stunning! Keep those videos coming. Can't wait for the next!
Beautiful! It looks like fairies flying around.
Thank you for that website!!!!! The prices are great!! I usually have to pay almost the same amount for shipping as the product. This is a great site, Ty.

I will keep watching so I may learn how to do this it's beautiful very talent lady thanks for sharing.
I love this and I'm not a decoupage person but I'm really into this bottle thing.

I recently started to Decoupage and funny thing is my projects just don’t seem complete without glitter 🤗💕
im going to make a million of these!!!! love it love it.....
Hi Patti
This has got to be one of my favorite projects so far. I am loving those glitter bottles. I am going to make some. I love them both, the larger and the smaller one. What a cool project. I do have glycerin but not that much to make a large bottle like that. When the girls were smaller we made glitter bottles with oil and water. I love your nail polish color*** and I really enjoy getting a glimpse into your yard to see your plants and flowers and birds, squirrels and dear :) Your flowers are so much farther along then mine are

+deezie It was a very nice time. We also have purple or lavender colored lilacs and one white shrub. The white doesn't produce as many flowers as the purple for some odd reason. I love Hobby Lobby, I can't believe they even carry stained glass supplies. I was taking courses in stained glass a few years back but talk about expensive! And unless I was going to make a living out of it, it was way too expensive to have as just a hobby. Decoupage is way more my speed. To print my own designs do I need an ink jet printer? What kind of printer is best?
Where do you get Rice Paper? Also, if you can't get rice paper or napkins, What Else can you use?
I am a huge fan of your bottles keep them coming!!! can you show how you reuse them!!

Thanks
Kristie

Hello Henny, some people use white craft glue mixed with a little water. (Like Elmers Glue) You can also google "how to make your own decoupage glue" There are a lot of good recipes out there! Hope this helps Henny!

The reason for the distilled water is that it is less prompt to mold than tap water is.

What is napkin decoupage glue?
+Lorraine Hoffman The decoupage glue will say napkin or serviette decoupage glue on the jar. Viva Decor makes an excellent one and you can find another good one here on my website. upcyclewithdecoupage.vpweb.com/blog/2016/04/28/DIY-Decoupaged-Hydrangea-Glitter-Liquor-Bottle-.aspx
