Wow! Great video! I got a 2021 Durango RT, Tow N Go with mods. Next will be Whipple 3.0! Just for fun I bought an AFE Scorcher GT module and I've posted a couple of videos. I need to post the results - spoiler alert it didn't do a whole lot, it did some but not much.
Great gains. What was the cost of the whole thing? Can you recommend a setup for my 2013 5.7 - long headers + Air Filter intake? What is your take on the 65RFE gearbox, can it be programmed to be more adequate after the engine remap? Cheers!
Good gains. I didn’t hear you say if you ran it in 6th gear this time or not. Also, you didn’t mention it when talking mods, but the change of diff gear does make a difference in how much power goes to the ground. Good video.
Thanks man, I probably wont ever do runs in 6th. No one else does so its not worth doing because there’s nothing to compare to. Also you can’t get any worth while data off a stock durango 6th gear pull for a baseline. The dyno sheet would be worthless with the speed limiter still on. I Did these in runs 5th gear because I did get a 5th gear bone stock run as you can hit peak power in 5th stock before the speed limiter so there’s a little something to go off of for a baseline on that. The 345 gears probably caused a loss in power but not by enough to make it mentionable I don't think. If I was running a 3.70 (or if even possible a higher ratio) I’d probably make mention of it
I just ordered headers, 6.4 intake manifold swap kit , ported TB, tuner , and a few other items Saturday and tiday Sunday sent emails to cancel those orders in hopes they dont ship since all were closrd yesterday. The reason being is I had $4k soent for what will only be about 40hp in Colorado at 5k plus elevation and for about another $1600 I can simply ripp charge my r/t and gain 120-150 wheel hp then add other stuff like headers later on .I put on a awe cat back I meed more than 30-40hp gain to match the sound now😅. Not knocking the mods done hete just seems like its alot of money for the hp vs the blower ? If modern muscle doesn't cancel the order B4 shipping ill sell the 6.4 swap kit to a denver area resident for $800 since thats all I'd get back from the $1100 ...its a nice kit all wiring and srv switch but useless with a charger kit .
That last video I just mentioned was just the ported intake. Before the tune and everything I was only running a 6.1 0-60 and a 14.38 1/4 mile. Now I’m 13.7 1/4 mile and 5.5 0-60
About 15 degrees cooler on this dyno than the last but that doesn’t effect anything because the numbers are SAE corrected. SAE correction factor standardizes temperature to 77-degrees F, 29.23inHg and dry, 0-percent humid air
Currently running the diablo tune on my 14 rt along with borla catback and afe intake. Gonna be awhile before i do longtubes. U think it would be worth ditching the diablo tune amd getting the jay greene tune and trans tune? Would it make a big difference? Or just save my money
Yeah r/t already had the hd brakes the calipers bolt right on unlike the solid non vented rotor light duty crap ...the tow and go package already has a lot of srt stuff like exhaust and brakes plus the hood .
Thought these used plastic manifolds would be more like $250 not $1000+ . I live at elevation in Colorado so not sure what gains the bolt on n/a mods are really worth here . When I was thinking $250 ish for a used plastic box I was thinking long tube headers, manifold, intake runner control , full awe track exhaust and a good tune and maybe see 45-60 HP at the wheels and 40-50 torque but that plastic box runs $1000+ most places so the parts list totaling$3500+ for horsepower I may not see at elevation seems better spent on the procharger rather than an intermediate mod. I don't need headers to make 420-450 wheel horsepower with a procharger so I can skip the $2000 on headers until I want to upgrade later I already have the awe track exhaust...LoL...just thinking that if all these mods this guy did plus long tubes only end up giving me 25hp I could have put that nearly $4k towards the super charger for 3x the wheel power gains ??? But it's hard to find enough of these Dyno proven mods to eagerly open my wallet .
How come the durango dynos stock at so much less than the chargers and challengers? Stock 5.7 chargers and challengers from 2011+ typically dyno 320rwhp and up
@@Sm0kingp0wer9360/390 at the crank just like all the stock SUV 5.7 vvt hemi platform be it a Grand Cherokee or Durango. The trim level seems to get you some higher top speeds since they offer upgrades like suspension and brakes such as with the tow and go package which has a lot of srt upgrades just no 6.4 .
What elevation are you at as this can be different as I know a stock awd durango 5.7 hemi is 325 whp stock by ripped before they added the supercharger for testing.
They shouldn't be making the same whp as a charger when these are AWD. Example hellcat make and TH make 707 crank hellcat dynos around 620 wheel and Dyno at 550 wheel
You should have even mentioned about how the tune was still rich and you have more left on the table even in your current setup... I'll be willing to bet that you have 5-10 hp and tq still left based off of AFR readings... I could tell by your face in the very beginning that you were a kid at the candy store... hope you dont play poker with that face hahahaha!
Nice gains. Was really thinking going this route with my Ram. Thank you for the great video!

Appreciate the video. Im contemplating this route. Reasearch and more research at this point. Nice job.
I like how you broke the chart down I'mma get my vehicle there one day just taking baby steps

I have a ARF gauge diablo way to rich down low...I tune it my self based on mods.....I went to 3 inch pipes and it was richer had to back it off

New sub here 💪 awesome channel. I'm looking to do something to my 2022 Durango rt AWD Tow and Go package
Can you talk about seat of the pants feel? How does it feel while driving…Did you notice a difference?
Yeah definitely. A lot more power in normal driving rpm range. Check out my last video it shows you the 0-60 and 1/4 mile improvements of it all!

Absolutely ditch the diablo tune. Get a custom pcm and tcm tune from jay or someone else, makes a world difference
@ZacWade will do. Thanks for the info.
Is your bbk ported?
Nope, no need its true bore

Because they’re awd and awd loses more power than rwd through the drivetrain
the fastest rwhp charger rt is 366 hp
I own the 2 wheel drive 3.09 differential 2023 RT Durango Premium. Do I have more horsepower than the AWD version? I am hoping 370 horsepower.

Yeah I’m waiting to here back from mike, i sent him all the logs and the dyno files for afr.
Lol, dyno day excites me!
Diablo tune doesn't suck. Something wasn't right in your pull imho.
??????? ?
Should be making over 350whp I agree diable tune sucked but I'd argue this max tune isn't perfect either.
You have to factor in the awd drivetrain loss. It’s a lot greater than rwd. AWD will always put less power down than RWD
Nice. Were you stock on the exhaust side? Or any mods?
