Girl!!! How COOL!!! Beautiful, classy, and I love the way you love your pup!!! God bless you!!!
Thank you!!! Really love her a lot!!
This video really boosts my knitting abilities I learned five new things just doing this one project. I needed a sweater for a 7 1/2 pound Chihuahua, use slightly smaller needles and a few less stitches to make it somewhat smaller than the original small size. It turned out beautifully. Thank you so much.
I'm very glad my video helped you learn new things and create a sweater for a baby Chihuahua!!!! You're very welcome!!
super cute! I used to have the same doggie, she passed at 23 a few years ago, loved that doggie
Thanks! I'm sorry about your dog!! I'm afraid to even think about that...
@@HappyKnitterthank you, Don't think about it, just love, I've outlived a few animals and its really hard but I would never give up having them in my life, we now have a large reptile, a Colombian Tegu, and he refuses to sit still for a fitting!
@@battyrubble 😁 good luck with the training!!! Just curious, what did you knit him?🙂
@@HappyKnitter I got him potty trained! he is 5 and a half and really smart, but like cat, selective hearing, I just wanted to make him a sweater/harness, he is hibernating now so will pick it up again in the spring, For my doggies I used to sew a strap across the shoulders of the sweater with a D ring so that I could just clip the leash to the sweater, they are such small dogs that the sweater itself is strong enough to work like a proper harness
@@battyrubble great idea for the sweater/harness 2 in 1!!!
Fantastic! I haven't seen this before. It's exactly what I wanted. This may be an old video, but it's as useful as ever. Thanks!
How adorable your Chi is!
Thx!!!!
First doggy sweater for me this tutorial is well done and does explain the stitches well. I wouldn’t recommend this for you first go because some stitches are advanced well for me anyways when your all thumbs at first. But my chihuahua is wearing it and he’s happy when he sees it coming so it must fit correctly.
I'm very glad, I helped another chihuahua stay warm and happy!!
Love your pattern and your soothing voice. Knitting is like yoga for me!! It’s no wonder that your dog is so calm.
Thank you, Sheila!!!💗💗
Super easy way you teach us to knitt pet sweater thank you very much🙏🙏🙏...I knitted two sweaters for my pets after watching your video....whichis so helpful 😊...
I'm very glad it helps our pets stay warm🙂. Thank you, Kiran!!
@@HappyKnitter pleasure was all mine thank you !!! ♥️😊
For our pets are very pretty. Many thanks my BEST TEACHER.
You're welcome, Consuelo!!!🥰
FABULAUS Work! If I still still my dog I would definitely make this sweater. Thank you so much for the great vid......
Your baby is so adorable! I just rescued a lil 2 years sphynx girl. She is going to need clothes for this winter. Thank you.
You're welcome, Wendy!! I'm very glad for you and your new baby💗💗💗🐕
My pooch is 7 months old, she's chihuahua and Boston terrier mix. Looking forward to knitting this up for her! Thank you!
Excited to see the result!!!💗
@@HappyKnitter As soon as it's finished!
Well, I have tried to follow the directions but I'm confused. I've attempted four times, to no avail. I love the pattern, but I think I'm going to have to find something a little easier. Thank you!
@@Yisraela sorry to read that, but anyway good luck in finding what is best for you!!!💝
What a cute dog and a beautiful outfit, must make that🌺🌸👍
Thank you💐♥️💝💗!!!!
I love the purple one snd I am brand new at knitting. Can you send me the pattern please because I really don’t know how to do this. I am really sick and bedridden and I want to learn to make clothes for my two chihuahuas. Thank you so much
Sorry, but there is no pattern for the purple sweater. But there is the video and pattern for the green sweater www.happyknitter.club/2020/01/dog-sweater.html?m=1.
I love this would be perfect for my yorkie chiwawah. Is there a pattern?
How do I start the round and join it? I have casted on the stitches and can’t work out how to do the join with the circular needles. I need help please
I’ll try this to make my kitty a sweater cause it’s the only video on UA-cam teaching how to knit a sweater for a pet 🧶🐶🐱💖
And the chihuahua is almost my cat size
Hopefully it works 🤞🏻
I’ll see you in a month or two 💁🏻♀️
Should work. Happy knitting!!💗
@@HappyKnitter Thank you 🙏🏻 🌷🌸
I want to make a simple jersey pattern for mine, after doing the neck, how many stitches do you need for the body? Thank you!!
You continue with the sts you had for the neck and increase at the center front by 2 sts in every other round. And stop increasing when you have the desired width.
Beautiful work, I will give it a try👍🏻
Would this be an okay project for a complete beginner?
Your little girl is soooooo cute 💞💞💞💞
Thank you!!!🥰
@@HappyKnitter 💞💞💞
what kind of dog is this?
Ooo, so cute...🤗 I like your works❤️
Thank you🥰!
Спасибо за прекрасный мастеркласс . Интересные моменты узнала для себя. Английский не знаю. Но очень все было понятно. От души благодарю
Спасибо за теплые слова!!!
Thank you❤
Hi loved this! What is the correct way to add to the center pattern (the knots started at about 4:00)? It says 34 sts for this pattern and i just want to know if you need to add to it in increments of 2 sts or 4 sts. Like if i wanted to make it larger if i should alot for 36 stitches or 38? Not sure if that makes sense but any help would be appreciated, im making a scarf including this pattern 😁
The pattern calls to CO a multiple of 4 + 2 symmetry sts + selvedge sts (if you want to add and how many you want to add). You can find the chart and directions for the pattern here: www.happyknitter.club/2020/01/dog-sweater.html
@@HappyKnitter Ok great! Thanks for the helpful reply and lovely video! 😄
Its great that you have this video, but your link doesn't work so where can you get the pattern???
I have 2 large dogs - Doberman's, but if I do the math this should work for them too, right.? I love your little one. So cute. Did you make your Row Counter-Stitch Marker and if you did can you share how it's made? Looks like you used a little stretchy band, but I can't figure out what else you used. Thanks so much for the video. I love your them, they're done so well. =0 )
Hi, Kathy!! I tried this sweater construction on my parents pekingese and it worked, I guess it should work on a doberman also. And about the row counter stitch marker - I did it from this row counter amzn.to/36xJBKr + this cord amzn.to/2QTTI5F + this earring amzn.to/2FFHw3j. Just put the cord loop through the row counter and instead of the lobster clasp that comes with the cord put the earring so that you can use this marker on larger needles also. I initially bought the cords and the earrings to make stitch markers with these bracelet charms www.aliexpress.com/item/32836592506.html?spm=a2g0s.12269583.0.0.7a1a562fThs77N and these Christmas themed ones www.aliexpress.com/item/32853388907.html and I did, but then I used the "parts" also to transform the row counter into a stitch marker. I found something similar amzn.to/2tzI1cm and amzn.to/35tHl5n but as you can see it only has a ring and not a clasp.
Any advice for altering the tummy area for a boy dog? Thanks
Hi, thank you for the video. My dog is smaller than your chi. His neck usually i put a cast on 48 stiches. With the pattern. If i were to start with 48 stitches, how many stitches of the pattern do I need? Does the pattern stictch has a formula of particular multiple? Ie. Multiple of 2 or 4 plus etc. Thank you !
Hi Ashlee, the formula for the pattern is multiple of 4 + 2 symmetry sts. You can find the chart and more details on my site: www.happyknitter.club
Thank you unfortunately I don’t know how to read chart :( thank you for telling me the multiple its is helpful
I love your pattern and video! How many stitches would I increase for 12 in neck and 20 inch chest? Thank you!🥰
Thank you!! You don't have to calculate. You just knit according to pattern and make the increases every other round until you have the desired width. I can't tell you how many increases you will make, it depends on your yarn weight and knitting gauge.
I'm a little confused about how your twisting the stitches I cant see what your doing to well. And I really want to knit this for my yorkie chiwawah! Help me out here please. I read the pattern but it's still kind of confusing love the sweater.
You can do yarn over instead of twisting, and then in the next round knit the yarn over through the back loop.
Will it turn out the same way. I really like the way the pattern on the back looks. Canyou explain to me howyoir doing the twisting I just vabt see it real good in the video and I read the pattern but I dont think I misunderstanding andcanyiu explain how I do the yo in case I do decide to go that way and will it look like your sweater. I just love it.
Thank you so much for sharing thos for free! I've got vit now I put it on my TV screen the video and I can see it wo much clearer now. Your putting the needle thru stitch 2 and three I've got it! Thanks and I love the pattern! My dogs are going to look so cool! I have a med. AMD large dog. Heo may do you think o should cast on or about how many sorry for asking and thank you so much!
@@beehumblewithmevicky2792 I'm very glad it's clear what I'm doing!!💗 You can knit a swatch like 4" width in k2, p2 rib and then put the swatch on your dog's neck and see how many sts you would need to cast on.
I've started it so well see hoe it goes for me thanks!
love this video! I am going for the second one of this model!
I'm so glad Carola!!! I'm sure so is your pet!!
Where is that dog toy from? 0:05
It's a key chain toy🤭
@@HappyKnitter I give my dog keychain toys too 🤣 no dog toys small enough for chihuahuas
You don't think that red band makes her hips look too big, do you? lol
Maybe so, but it also accentuates her waistline 😀
