- Hi folks thought I’d have a go making a loco shed making it up as I go along out of free box’s and left over bits of Metcalfe card and bits and bobs.
I’m quite happy with the results 👍
As I always say thanks a million to all my subscribers, and thanks to everyone that watches my videos, if you haven’t subscribed please consider doing so, I like my subscribers quite a bit more than my none subscribers I almost love them, not quite love but better than friends😆
Thanks to the commenters and folk that share these on, they’re intended as light hearted entertainment, some are absolute crackers some a bit more serious. I love the model railways, I love filming them going about their business and I love chatting about them. No one in my house is interested in listening to me chat about them, hence I chat to you guys. Feel free to ask any questions.
The intention of this channel is to come at a different angle from the usual and do my own thing which may or may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
It gets me some peace up here in the loft though so I’ll keep it going. I only have a small fleet as they’re all the new sound fitted models and it’s a new hobby so don’t expect a different loco in each video. Hope you like this one, cheers! Dave

That’s insane Dave, you’re quickly becoming a scratch build guru. This really popped off and I’m bloody impressed with the final result! Keep it up mate, these vids are fantastic 😎
Haha it’s fair to average at best matey 🤣 but cheers for the big up 😁👌
That looks great. Full of character and serves the purpose. Looking forward to seeing the motorised doors 😉
You and me both! 😆😆😆👍
I think I'll have a word with Ladderman and see if I can get a barely used garage door opener to use on my layout.
Another fine release from Metdave
I’m hoping Metcalfe boss sees your comment and decides to make the kit for everyone to enjoy and as a token of gratitude sends me:
A Colas 37 sound fitted
A couple of Cavalex 56s
Maybe an EWS 66 Accirascale
😁👍👍
Really impressed by the end result, just shows what you can do with spare materials! Great stuff.
Yeah I quite like it, especially for what it cost, a few detail bits and it’ll be even better 👍👍
Looks super duper..
I bet you’re well impressed with your professionalism..
24% professional wasn’t it 😂
Well Dave, You have fluffed it now. Really and truely.. You are not a Daft as you would have us believe.. OOOOOH NO! Fooled were we.. led along a garden path to be sure.. Brilliant, and believe it or not, sorted a problem I had. Not for a building as such, but for an underpass. I have the metcalf stone which would work properly.. I am the stupid one, for not thinking out of the Box. Thanks Dave..
Aup Andy! Always happy to help , you could make paper mache using 100 dollar bills and make it the most expensive underpass in the model universe!!! Just saying 🤫👌💵💵
Proper decent that DoD! Your not a madman just a genius 😃👍
Aww cheers DD 👍👍🍺
Hi Dave.
Brilliant job buddy.
Be careful of the ladder man though he could get on the roof and do all sorts of damage. Already warned James he's after his custard.
Great bit of modelling Dave, give yourself a pat on the back.
Just finished building my Metcalfe shed. Ready to go in the turntable area.
Thanks buddy.
Thumbs up thumped 👍
....Pete....
Cheers Pete, he’s been up there already selling barrels of product to a bloke in a helicopter!
Skills - I like That, Custom made and Much better than paying 35 squids to Bachman/Scaledale 👍🏻
Blue Peter at its finest 😂
Blue Peter at its average more like 🤣🤣
Cracking build Dave.
Cheers RnR was just a quick (get me away from the Mrs) build 🤣👍
Now that IS railway modelling. Nice work
Thanks 👍
A depot for £3……. A great video Dave
Bargain basement 😆👍
😂 hope the drone is recovered one day.
The sheds look amazing - great skills - love a bit of creativity rather than buying it of the shelf and looks twice as good as something you’d buy as it’s exactly in keeping with Liberty junction. Nice one 😎
Thanks DL 😁
Fine looking shed. Bit of proper scratch build craziness 😂
Like a Volvo It’s boxy but it’s alright 👍
@@doubleodave 🤣👍
This is class. Very impressed with your creativity. I’m inspired to have a go myself.
Cheap and cheerful mate 👍
That looks decent that pal 👍👍 fits in really well to the scene.
Looks like a miniature thornaby depot.
It’s OK for a few quid mate and an hours work. More aimed for folks just starting out, I know it’s never gonna end up on Dean Park but it did get me up in the loft and away from suitcase packing 😁 so there is that 👌
Dave, love your way of thinking and wild imagination. Thanks again for all your videos.Great watching. Excellent.
Thanks Michael glad you’re enjoying them 👍
Don't worry Dave I've spotted the Dylington Custard barrels, and that was before you zoomed in 😁👍
Cheers James, next time I’m in Dye-ling-ton I’ll buy a can off you 👌👍😁
@@doubleodave fair enough 😂👍
You could make that far right section into "regular" doors for people.
Yeah good plan, cheers 👍
That's the bomb from a bath bomb box.
Cheers PH your comment itself was Bombbastic - semi fantastic!
DoD, I never thought bath bombs would feature or presents for the misses! Love the shed but cost should include er indoors gifts = Metcalfe will be half price!! 🥵
Sounds too complicated 😁
now that is a nice build.
Cheers pal 👍
Great job Dave, it looks well and fits in a treat
Cheers for the comment pal, I do like that I can shove loads of locos away now 👌
Looks reet descent in my opinion. Proper scratch build. Nice one.
Cheers Choby, ps how the new 66 doing?
Hey DoubleO not run the 66 yet as need the decoder which Accurascale say will be available later this month. Could of got another one but theirs comes ready configured for the 66 so thought I would wait. Hope your enjoying Devon.
I preferred Janet Ellis playing with sticky backed plastic but you’ll do 😁
Seriously, effective building. I guess they built them to fit the Yard sort of thing.
I enjoy your humour too mate 😁👍🏼
Ian
Wasn’t sure who Janet was so I googled her, yeah I’d rather watch her too but not when she had the Lego hair style.
It got me up in the loft for a few hours vs packing for a holiday mate so I was happy!
👍
@@doubleodave I think I’m a wee bit older than you!
She was the reason many adolescent boys ran home from school when Blue Peter was on! 😂😂😂
I know what you mean about the Lego haircut 😂😂😂
Have you spotted the custard barrels Ian 😁👍
This is a really great job Dave. It looks the business.
@@DYLINGTONMODELRAILWAY No James, now I’m intrigued.
Happy to give OO Dave another view though 😊 I love the humour!
Off on an airport run now though.
Hi, loco shed looks the business, makes me want to have a go at scratch building something for my Layout, regards George
You should! When they’re as cheap as this you can keep em for a bit and get rid when you get bored 👍
OO Dave and the Ladderman - what a combo !
Haha Laddermans just chatting away to the mechanic dude - think they’re scheming something if you ask me!
Watching this and smelling the coffee 😎👌☕️ Fred ps double 0 I need you down scratch building on my layout
You got a to do list? There’s not enough hours in the day for me at the minute Fred! Plus I need to win the lottery 😄
That covid's, got a lot to answer for.
Yep!
Excellent job , well done , the weathering is fantastic, 👍👍👍
Many thanks! 👍👍cheers
Great stuff. I did something similar with some offcuts of plywood and Metcalfe brick papers. It was either that or buy an expensive shed kit and then throw half of it away, due to the odd corner shape I needed.
👍👍👍
Nice I think bob the builder not got a patch on you Dave
Haha cheers pal 👷
Good repurpose!
Thanks 👍
That were the mighty boosh moon wasn't it.
Possibly 🤫🤐😁
I think cardboard boxes would be good for making modern corrugated section buildings.
Yeah I agree 👍
I'm waiting to see what yer gonna do with a fairy liquid bottle
Maybe a new button moon style rocket if you know the 80s show 😁🚀
