You got a sub from me. Lookin forward to seeing what you're up to. Nice to get a shout out from your friends who have been there. It's a lot more work but you'll make it happen, you got a good mentor to help you.
Having been an independent U-Haul dealer for many years I could confidently say you’re right and that was not a U-Haul truck. That box was definitely put on that truck after the fact.
Probably was a wrecked truck or snapped frame truck from auction back when 15years ago I was thinking of buying stuff but then again I see the negligence they do now to the rentals so I changed my mind
GUYS WE ARE SO CLOSE TO 100K ON THE SECOND CHANNEL!! Subscriber if you haven't. Also I hope this u haul blows up the channel like the OG Yee hawl video
Glad you mentioned that. UA-cam unsubscribed me for some reason. Resubscribed. I don't know why that happens but super annoying. His channel is my favorite of hundreds.
Back then (late 70's early 80's ) Ford had the full sized Ranger but had Mazda contracted to build the Courier for them while they (Mazda) were building the B series pick-ups for sale !!! They then developed the mini Ford Ranger which Mazda initially produced !!! Ford had tooled up by the early 2000's to produce Rangers In the States !!! At least that's what I've been told !!!
Shop looks much better P-Daddy…I bet you feel better just having it cleaned and organized. Can’t wait to see the outside covered roof and storage area done with your storage racks and what not.
Puddin back in the day Mazda and Ford and some deals with each other with their small truck frames, Thats is why they are a lot like to the point where before Ford made their own small trucks because of the gas prices in the 70s.
Same here man. I love & appreciate any and all the content we get but I do wish he'd drop back & complete or at least work some more on projects he's started. Maybe it's funding or lack of parts etc holding him up but yeah, I'd like to see a return to them myself! 💙👊🏼
I haven't watched it yet but my dad bought one of these brand new in '84. He was a plumber and needed a reliable work vehicle that got good fuel economy. He got A/C as the only option. He put a topper on it so he could lock up his tools and drove it for several years. It was gutless but cheap.
Theo is one happy pup. Thanks to Puddin family for giving him his best life. BTW, my dab had a Courier that looked just like that. And it had Mazda marked all over it. He sold it after it was stolen and used to haul illegals. Just part of living in San Diego with a truck with a shell on it.
I saw you doing the 1 wheel peel on Slick50 channel already subscribed when I was scanning the You Tubes and saw the dragster he got.. God Bless you and your loved ones (It is in the high 90s again today in the High Desert of Southern California) People not from here say "Well at least it's a dry heat."..I think to myself, So is an Oven..
Fun fact Jacob... In the final iteration of the B2000 / Courier platform, before Ford introduced the Ranger to replace it... some of the Couriers had Mazda motors, but... (to my knowledge) none of the Mazdas had the 2.3's. I have an '84 B2000... and it has a 2.0 litre Mazda motor.
I grew up in Ford Couriers. My dad had several, some with a Mazda motor and some with the Ford motor. I preferred the Ford motors. I learned how to drive in a 1979 Courier.
@@joeythetruckguy I can dig it. My Dad bought a new '77 Ford Courier in November of 1977, 2.3L IL-4, 5 speed long bed with factory A/C. I was 12 at the time... Drove it a lot before I got my own vehicle. Taught my Mom how to drive a stick in that little truck.
Yeah somebody probably picked up a old u-haul and got used to convince of the box. It actually does seem pretty useful. Then they just slapped that box on the Mazda when truck crapped out.Mazda bed might have been messed up real bad too and was just match made in heaven. U-haul definitely been painting and stickering their stuff forever without exception. Truck still real clean looking. Love all the videos and God bless!
That ranch trucks near it and he’s got that lifted chassis’s he will get to doing next year so you got time to get that secondary account set up 20 40 100 a a week bc you will get da likes so better be on ya word lol
Word of caution. Pull the timing case cover, because they a have very long timing chain that stretches till the hydraulic adjuster plunger pops right out of it;s hole.
That piece welded onto the bumper was made to slide a L-shape piece in and use as a hand grab. We had them on our Tommy lifts on the back of our delivery trucks. but we used ours to lean tires up against them.
Decent pump for 85$ Ebay or Amazon, mine is 2 years old and still works good. VEVOR Air Compressor Pump, 3HP 11.8CFM, Industrial Compressor Head Pump Motor, 1300RPM High-Spped Single Stage Twin Cylinder Aluminum Air Compressor Head Piston Style Splash Lubrication Pump
in college i delivered flowers in one of these ( it had a secondary AC unit) not fast but super reliable oddly enough i received an 81 courier as a gift - needed a new ignition control module and it almost lasted as long as my marriage
you'll save your b-pillars by replacing the hinge pins since they're probably already shot ..... they're the cause of the metal tears in the pillars and hard door shuts also spray out the fender behind the front wheels really well , the fender support traps dirt and debris rusting the the fenders from the inside by the door edge.
I've been running those ebay special fuel pumps for years without issue. Finally slick is putting some effort into a channel, he's already over 10k subs!
At 45.59 looks like the wire for the coil Is sparking. If that's the coil. Right next to the windshield wiper reservoir on the far right of the screen. Right where the hammer sits
I find it funny I first found your channel because I worked at u haul and seen of your old u haul videos and now I'm back for this lol time sure flies glad to see you still doing these
Puddin, at one point Ford was building those Mazda trucks at the Ford Claycomo plant in Kansas City. They were going down the same assembly line as the Coueor trucks.

You should put that box on the orange 4xluv and make it your new junk yard crawler.

@@01ls1z28dabxyou are correct, at least maybe some second channel stuff on the Model A

You need to get ahold of redline carbs and get you setup with some webers for the fleet. On those small engines a weber 32/36 is amazing.
Put the uhaul box on the back of the white toyota camper and just use the cab from the red one.
Love these trucks so much man, I recently just got my hands on an 84 Mazda with a uhaul box on it. Box truck mafia 🤙🏻
I had that same carburetor on my ‘73 Courier and ended up replacing it with a Weber. Couldn’t keep mine running right either.

Hot damn! 1984 was a great year for the world and vehicles. Congratulations, bud!
Your coil was sparking while you had the engine running. Looked like it was at one of the studs.

Hot Rod is right. that you hawl is in the crapper, fixer up the Model A.
It can’t suck through the filter you have to put it in front of the fuel pump
I wonder if someone changed out the parts for the interior 🤔
Wouldn't surprise me....
Seen plenty of cars like that.
I have a 20 gallon compressor that looks just like yours. At the 46 minute mark you can see the coil sparking at the soil plug wire, may want to put a new set of plug wires on it
I seen that as well but it’s not the coil , coil is mounted over by the battery.
Not sure what that canister is.
I think she would look good with a Grunpy Grandpa and his dog Duff on the side driving around in ND
brucelundry5696 It's already got a flexi hose on the radiator so it's good to go.
