I can see it starts going to the right before lifting scratching the record. I have the same problem and I cant find info on the service manual about this issue. Did you fix it?
Hi. There's a detailed description of how to setup the tonearm and the arm coupling mechanism. I managed to fix it on one Beogram, the other one is still waiting :).
You have pull out twist-pop 78rpm adapter. There's a spring underneath it and some screws (make sure you don't lose anything). Unscrewing the screws will enable you to take the subplatter off.
@@styppens _ thank you so much :) That was a very fast reply!! I have just bought a Beogram 1202 as defective - because the tonearm is not moving correctly ( is moving over the vinyl disk to fast - but I see that the needle is missing the diamond tip.. so probably that is why the tonearm is moving incorrectly. I will look for a new needle on Ebay and see how the arm is doing afterwords. Can I bother you if I have more questions in the future about this Beo 1202 ? Thank you.
@@adrian2b yeah sure. I spent a lot of time reviving my Beogram 1202 and in the end I managed to get it to working condition. The needle has nothing to do with the positioning of the tonearm. These behaviour can be modified by adjusting the eccentrick screws which are accessible from below. Best if you grab yourself a service manual. It helped me a lot.
@@styppensOK :). O will do that . I have one more question. I want to replace the needle and only the needle - as an original needle with its holder (metal case) is to expensive for me and I want to keep the original needle holder an not buy a cheaper aftermarket needle with unmarked metal case- Could I use one of these to change the needle only ? As I do not clearly understand the difference between needles like SP1 ,2, ..6/7 and I have an SP14....
