Wow this is the best explanation I’ve ever seen and under an hour to learn how and why it’s important. Thank you ❤I’m motivated to learn to use it for my projects!
I’m a beginner but already landed at a pm job. I don’t know anything but learning from scratch. Your contents are so helpful unlike other channels making things so high level and difficult. Thank you.
Gantt Chart: A project planner technique used in many businesses is a Gantt Chart, developed by a man named Gantt derived from an idea called a harmonograph by Karol Adamiecki. A Gantt chart marks out the time allotted for a project, starts at the end point and works backwards, filling in due dates, etc. to the beginning. Some Gantt charts work in reverse. Gantt charts can also allocate teams and assets within the chart to more highly control the variables involved in project management.
Perfect, im working as production engineer EPCI for oil and gas. I think i need to learn from basic. There a lot of problem in actual job. Mostly dueto material delay, so planner team need to make overlap schedule. But i think its not realistic sometime. And i dont have strong reason to discuss with them. Eventhough as actual we have sense for that
I think Excel is the simplest and easiest way to make one, as described here: ua-cam.com/video/dDetfOCCMQo/v-deo.htmlsi=xd4aq_Zc-in93VRH. You don't need to be an excel whizz at all, it's really easy.
Could you do a best practices video on updating an excel gantt chart, once the project is actually running. I have a hard time imagining how it will look like and work, e.g. when you have a delay on the critical path. Seems it would require a lot of manual work?
yes, I prefer excel, I don't like the way MS Project jumps straight to the Gantt chart without getting the dependencies and critical path sorted out first.

Even though this is not what youtube want from content creators, but we truly appreciate this as people. Thank you so much for putting this in 3 min.

Do you have an opinion on MS Project rather than Excel for these?
yes, I prefer excel, I don't like the way MS Project jumps straight to the Gantt chart without getting the dependencies and critical path sorted out first.
Thanks
