Funny enough, while the Red Mage can't learn Ruse, the Red Wizard can. Problem is, by that time you're basically up to the Waterfall cave and the Defense Sword, which casts it for free.
Yeah it's a bit silly, I've never been particularly good at remembering the specific spells a RW unlocks that a RM doesn't, probably my least played class overall really.
To be honest, Red Mage can't learn Harm, so it wouldn't have mattered if you wanted it or not. Nice to see someone do the Solo Red Mage Challenge. I myself have done the White Mage and Fighter as solos for this game, and I'm currently doing the Red Mage Solo Challenge. I'll be doing all the solos for my channel.
+MountainD18 When you REALLY feel brave give the solo Thief challenge a go ;) Even spoil yourself and allow the promotion to ninja :D I conveniently put all 6 solo challenges up in a row since it was a fun run, red mage is certainly one of the easier ones to speed through though.
+sandra rios Well, in this game as long as you can learn a spell you're equally good in it, so he's just as good at white/black magic except for the spells he can't learn. Physically he's weaker then the Fighter, less strength and vitality, and less weapon and armor selection, but much better then the other mages.

Yeah imagine if the Creep had've killed you, would've been a troll move. I got killed by a spider after defeating Garland before, and that sucked.

As for sahaugin or drowners it doesn't matter which came first. Neither originated the concept.
