He actually gave the wrong city names. There actually are Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills Estates, Rolling Hills and Palos Verdes Estates. There is not city called Palos Verdes Hills.
@@marsbeads actually you are wrong. Please refer to a map of the Peninsula and you will see that San Pedro is the South-East part of the Peninsula. A Peninsula is a landmass that is surround by water on 3 sides, San Pedro is one whole side of the Peninsula.
@@denkodel6516 I know what a peninsula is and San Pedro is east of the cities in Palos Verdes. Physically San Pedro is part of the peninsula, but it is not included in with the cities of Palos Verdes. San Pedro is a neighborhood that is part of Los Angeles. I know, I used to live in Palos Verdes. I was born and raised in the area.
I used to live in Long Beach, and worked at an Interior Design office in Riviera Village, just outside Palos Verdes Estates. Our clients were all over the pennisula. I worked on the redesign of the clubhouse for the Palos Verdes Bay Club. Incredible views of the ocean! 😎 If you ever get a chance, drive from San Pedro around the pennisula on the backside towards Malaga Cove in PVE at NIGHT! OMG, the view of the entire LA Basin is a must see, it's called the... "Queen's Necklace"! The lights along the shore line all the way to Malibu! 🤗 I miss the area...😢
Used to live in Rancho Palos Verdes back in the late 80s... My Dad bought a property there for just under $500k ... Shortly after his passing , we were able that same property for just over $2mill ...A friend of ours also sold their residential property but off of PV Estates... They bought theirs at a mere $250k back in the early 80s and sold at $3.5mill
My father bought our house in Palos Verdes Estates right across the street from Lunada Bay in 1958 for $50,000. Sold it in the early '80's for $500,000 which we thought was an outrageous amount at the time. It is now owned by a friend of my cousin's and has been extensively added on to and I believe it is worth over 6 million now. So insane but there are just too many people in this country and not enough housing and so the prices are just horrible all over for millions of people. Don't know how all this is going to go but if the entire PV Peninsula slides into the ocean the place where I spent 20 years is simply going to not exist anymore. Hard to imagine.
There is a fifth area of Palos Verdes called the Palos Verdes Peninsula. It is actually an unincorporated part of Los Angeles. It is in the 90274 zip code and includes Westfield area and The Estates.
Most of this rugged peninsula is covered with unstable soils and should have been made either public parkland or a nature preserve rather than four haphazardly planned suburban communities for the greedy undeserving wealthy. Most of this peninsula is not safe to build on yet more fancy modern new homes keep getting built on this unstable ground.

I came to say the same. I used to live in RPV.
There is City of Los Angeles (SAN Pedro) which is physically on the east side of the Peninsula as well!
@@denkodel6516 San Pedro is not part of the Palos Verdes Peninsula cities. It’s consolidated with Los Angeles.

Better hurry. It's sinking (geologically) fast.
Now unfortunately, people are losing their million dollar homes to the elements (landslides)😢
unfortunately... ?
A million? For the whole peninsula? You couldn't buy a parking space there for a million dollars

Ha! The most compact (accurate) history of PV ever recited from a helicopter.
PV is the best ! Home to a lot of USC alumni and coaches.
How nice a place PV is has nothing to do with the presence of people from a low morals, cheat at any cost syndicate.

Some of the homes are currently moving 1 foot per week towards the ocean! What a nightmare
Let's get more people onto this.

Hey now we found some for newsomes high density housing. Gavin…. Over here.
God Karl, harsh. But so true. Please tell me you are being sarcastic, and not supportive

Look at these houses sinking into the ocean!
It is next to the Pacific Ocean. Aside from that it is pretty ugly.
Incredible how Europeans put a price on a stolen land
Is what it is
How can something that was never possessed be stolen
Might makes right.
OMG. With all due respect, shut up
Conquered. Not stolen. Cope and seethe.
It will be remembered long after it disappears into the sea. Surely new land will rise, but farewell anyway Palos Verdes.
State of emergency for the rich..properties still worth millions
Bout to be one of the cheapest places in the country
Not much going on?! This land was stolen by the edomites from the Tongva people
OMG. Just shut up
Guess they didn't bother fighting for it much.
